(now were to get that? ) I would definitely include Qui-gon Trainer to get them enough attack. I love how you guy really out done yourselves with including less used SA and force powers in this set, as well as all these large and huge characters! That OMG are actually playable! We haven't seen that since... Well okay we just got some last time, but I'm glad to see bigger characters make a comeback Eminence Harrar LOL here we are working on making Sacrifice abilities and you guys already made one. Other than that, he really isn't my cup of tea. Not seen him yet...

Why do you think I was leading that conversation along? ;) I'll be interested to see how people use Harrar. He has scarification, which is actually a great ability for Vong. Note that his CE is allies and enemies alike. So this makes intentional scarification for allies with crab armor easier. Then YH Sacrifice gives YH Devotion for the round to Allies. This ability can really help Vong survive, it essentially being a range 6 bodyguard to all Vong vs ranged attacks that works 50/50. This will help Vong survive until they get to the fight. There's also internal synergy of YH Devotion passing damage around to help get all your Warriors and Hunters scarred up

I wonder why a droid was picked as the proxy. I just figured it would be either Jensari or maybe even Reborn since they had that hooded mask look in the show.

I'd love to see one of the designers put up what they think are some of the best new Vong squads. They've got a lot of good new pieces, and I don't play them much, so I find them hard to get my head around. Deathwielded wrote:Jedi Temple Guard Perfect ally for Cin! I guess they're cheap enough to run with General Skywalker and Cin?

Several are already up in the vset 7 squad thread. Sha'kel is a game changer The Seer could be big too. (And synergies very well with Harrar) So more may become clearer once these last few puzzle pieces are revealed.

adamb0nd wrote:Oooh, what about a more expensive piece that works well generically for its faction (synergies well, but not overly specific so that it works in various builds), and having a reinforcement that can bring in both fringe AND it's home factions pieces? Just an idea. In some cases lobot is cheaper and has override, in other, the increased versatility of what you bring it would be more enticing. Just a random thought that may not actually fix anything...
That is what I was getting at earlier. Make it to where also adding Lobot actually detracts from your build by wasting the internal faction synergy. Combat worthy, maybe a CE, and Fringe/FactionX Reinforcements

Or (just an idea), go the Talon route and make a character who gives a squad boost, but only when your squad is faction pure. That way, you can't include Lobot.
(Prideful probably also would be a viable alternative.)

Lando of Cloud City
Under Orders - Replaces attacks: a character whose name contains Lobot takes an immediate turn under your control, which does not count as one of your 2 activations this phase, even if it has already been activated this round. That's pretty clever. But wouldn't we end up in a situation where the only way people would only play him if he could be brought in with lobot, and then we would just end up with lobot+lando vs lobot+lando squads? Not if Lando is worth playing in his own right. Plus, you'll probably have your own Lobot that you could order around, too so it wouldn't be a totally worthless ability on its own. But you're probably right. Either he's worth playing or he isn't. If he is, then it's Lando+Lobot versus Lando+Lobot all the time. If he isn't, he's never played.

Ohhhhh this is what you were asking about on SHNN Last night, Swinefeld
Army of Light - Any character whose name contains Army of Light or who has the Army of Light special ability. A character named Lord Hoth is also treated as if he had Army of Light.

Wow! The new Nom Anor is crazy good. The max amount of defense he can get if you surround him properly is 43 def (or 47 in cover). I like the flavor he brings to the faction. All of a sudden those Shamed Ones aren't as bad as i thought.

All of a sudden those Shamed Ones aren't as bad as i thought. Yeah - don't see that happening too often. It would be hard to attack him then, and even if you did, he'd probably just swap for a decoy. But that's kinda the point anyway - he's only as strong as the number of shamed one followers he has. You're probably forced to kill most of his shamed ones before him.

Thoughts on who to bring in with Farfalla for some Army of Light boosts? the Mirialan Jedi Knight seems like a good choice. Not too many of the generic troopers are better than the new Army of Light grunt who gets pretty nice with Farfalla. And Lord Hoth Leading the way? I think Army of Light is going to be a fun little subfaction, especially with a solid 5 pointer to build on since Hoth, Bastilla, and Farfalla add up to a decent chunk (though you save points with Farfalla's OR Reserves
OH And I think I see where Swinefeld spoiled that ability early! On Lord Hoth? he now has Army of Light

It's mainly a duct tape fix to get them all to show up when using search functions. (this is why characters with Covenant in their name also have the SA here, but not on their cards)

I love the Death Watch Overlord, but am I the only one bugged about the fact that the special ability Bas'lan Shev'la has almost no similarities with what Bas'lan Shev'la actually is?
