Not too many of the generic troopers are better than the new Army of Light grunt who gets pretty nice with Farfalla. And Lord Hoth Leading the way? I think Army of Light is going to be a fun little subfaction, especially with a solid 5 pointer to build on since Hoth, Bastilla, and Farfalla add up to a decent chunk (though you save points with Farfalla's OR Reserves
OH And I think I see where Swinefeld spoiled that ability early! On Lord Hoth? he now has Army of Light I was thinking of the Covenant Executor, he fits right in and is already a bargain at 19 points. Add all the rest and he's got tons of potential damage he can do. 20 base plus Army of Lights Prideful, so if he is attacking a Sith Droid with ABM on he gets a grand total of two attacks with +23 attack at 60 damage. Realistically he will only see +15 and 40 damage, but that's on par with Farfalla. Now for Farfalla's CE, does every character brought in get +1 force, even if they didn't start with a force rating? I'm thinking so which is great!

She does not get the situational damage boosts but she can get where she wants a little quicker and hit twice (though with a little less attack.) And when she is there she is going to be hard to hit with melee attacks. The Executor is definetly a good choice in a few match ups but how many Sith Droids do we see now-a-days? That is how I was reading his CE, that it just gives anyone a +1 The Celestial Warrior wrote:This, combined with the CE, is precisely how the Death Watch took this phrase to heart. Yeah, basically a way to make a small contingent Army of Light to build up a sub-faction. Most of them were Force Sensitive in some way.

Interesting that they acknowledged that Exar Kun could come in through Gantoris.

I think he means Tionne's CE also affects Dark Force Spirits so that it works with Exar and Gantoris

That's kind of a major story arc in the Jedi Search Trilogy I know, but the Jedi weren't exactly allied with Kun. I'm happy they choose to do that though. The +2 speed is very helpful.

Oppo Rancisis Wow even better than I expected! He fill helps fill in several thing the Republic was missing! I figured Force Meditation was going to be on him and I love it! Attack and (basically) defense boosts without GOWK. Plus he offers some more anti-movement breaking options! He is the perfect partner for Pong Krell since he doesn't have a CE and boosts the Clones nicely! The only thing is Tactician might hurt his Reserves chances slightly...

The tricky part was making it so that the major benefit was to Gantoris, per the story. The PT'ers kept using him with others--essentially a 50+ force ghost. Kun did make Gantoris more powerful, but not others. We even considered a self destruct feature but decided the option to haunt others, at a decrease to Gantoris was sufficient.

Krell with Kazdan makes reserves gives reserves squads a whole lot more weight!

Gungan Batman Clone wrote:Krell with Kazdan makes reserves gives reserves squads a whole lot more weight! There's....zero synergy there. You're essentially spamming activations at that point, and the immediate part makes for easy points for the enemy with the droids. The clones at least have a chance to survive or boost their comrades. I tried it, opponent got to 200 and didn't really touch my original squad.

Awww, Valenthyne Farfalla doesn't get his own Prideful bonus. Oh well still one of my faves!

There's a player I know who frequently uses a reserves squad with Kazdan, Lobot CLO, Mon Mothma, and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. He usually gets about 200 points of extra characters and then swarms the opponent. Take out Palpatine and Mothma to replace them with Krell, increases your odds.

Dray is really good! That force vision is great for dash, Rex, etc. and the dark master for any faction is also awesome!

My cards came. They look great. most noticeable thing to me right off the bat is that the team seems to have come up with some solid solutions to make trooper squads more competitive.
