My cards came. They look great. most noticeable thing to me right off the bat is that the team seems to have come up with some solid solutions to make trooper squads more competitive.

That is absolutely fantastic, as that was one of our primary goals.

Command of the galaxy was commander focused, so early on we decided for Armed and Operational to be trooper-centric.

Big props to Brad for leading the charge and keeping us focused on that in particular.

Dray is really good! That force vision is great for dash, Rex, etc. and the dark master for any faction is also awesome!

Force vision was changed more times than I can count in the process. It's a tricky ability to balance, especially on a fringe character. I think needing line of sight and it having to be a lower cost character will prevent it from being broken.

I know I posted many spoilers at once recently, and many have already gotten their sets - but there are a few figs posted that nobody has even commented on. And some of those are pretty freaking useful.

There's only a few pieces not spoiled yet, and they are some of the best pieces in the set IMO.

But first lets hear what everyone thinks of the posted pieces.

The more i look at her stats the more i like Alema. She has good everything really lol. I think she can really catch people off guard for what she brings to the table for her point cost.

LIN Demolitionmech and Buzz Droid. But if you like Lancers, you won't like them.

If something blows you away, it's broken. You should look at these pieces and say "that's pretty good/decent/solid."

I think Vong got a lot of the very best stuff. Zenoc Quah is very good.

Regional results will be interesting - a few things in the last couple of sets will have a big effect - Czerka Shield Tech takes some power from big shooters, Buzz Droid slows down strafers, but there are big new strafers.

Dray's interesting - seems like a piece with lots of potential uses. I don't think he'll quite be competitive, as he's kind of a jack of all trades that you're paying quite a lot for.
- he's a fringe follower, so Whorm can give him Twin, but he's not very mobile.
- I've never really seen the value in Dark Master.
- I think Force Vision (the immediate attack FP) is his biggest calling card. There was a playtest squad listed with Carth Onasi, ORS, who is definitely a worthy recipient (he already has access to the OR Senator, but I guess spamming this guy and the OR Senator might work). General Weir could be another good piece to cannon?

With the Death Watch Overlord, how does the timing of Ba'slan Shev'la work with Resol'nare - do you just get to choose which to do first? You obviously don't get prideful with Pre Viszla. I'm kind of curious as to whether the DWO is worth running without getting the Prideful bonus - he's still a decent attacker and has his swap trick. I really like the Mando stuff in this set - really fleshing out the good work from the last couple of sets, and I think they'll see some play.

I'm really looking forward to running Yu'shaa. Seems like plenty of potential shenanigans.

I think Dray being fringe with Dark Master is awesome! He can help hand out force points to 1 ally who may have been force starved. He especially helps out the factions that doesn't give their force users renewal, like the Fringe, OR and Mandalorians. Speaking of Fringe He might be quite potent in there. Follower gives him access to some of the Best CE is every faction.

+1

Also, as with all the sets, I think there are some 'sleepers' in here that will prove to be more effective than they appear at first glance.

So many new trooper options. ThumpUp

Yeah - Dray is all about the Force Vision. We didn't intend for him to be top tier - but being fringe we had to be careful, so he's costed high enough to be conservative. Hope he's still fun though!

Still a few more new pieces without comments

We talked about the Lars in the chat for SHNN. I like them a lot, giving a Luke 30 potential hit points from draw fire and renewal 1 is very nice. Especially for pieces like Rebel Commando or Hero of Yavin. Heck if you use them with the Farmboy, they can trigger his Impulsive as well.

Davin Felth
Not what I was expecting, I see the theme of CIS hate in this V-set Glare.

Daric LaRone
I honestly feel he is just over costed. There may be some synergy I'm missing, but I like Taxtro heaps better

Major General Veers
Combining fire love for the Imps! I wish he had gunner, but I like him lots!

Viqi Shesh
Can be a nice addition to the Vong for Reinforcements. Cool concepts, but not how I would have represented her.
Attack boosts are welcome in the Vong. I wish she had Aggressive negotiations or even Diplomat. Is there any NR character you guys have in mind for Reinforcements? At least she will replace or even stand with Lobot. I woulda liked her in the OR with Reiforcements, but I understand she nave really was loyal to them.

Kam Solusar
Anyone that can bring my favorite star wars character into a new faction is alright in my book.ThumpUp A nice Jedi Defender.
