I mentioned Felth a bit above for Rebels.

Larone seems ok...solid attacker but his CE seems redundant with Talon unless the Imps are getting a heck of a lot more IO pieces. It does give the option to run him sans Talon which is nice. Of the pair I think I like Taxtro a lot more.

Owen and Beru will help out the Commando Luke and maybe even Commander Luke. Farmbot Luke is a maybe, he just doesn't pack enough umph.

I wish we had some more impulsive SA now...

Draw Fire makes them easier to kill if you have a reluctant opponent. Heal 10 is nice too.

Not what I was expecting, I see the theme of CIS hate in this V-set Glare.

Davin is not Seps hate. He is mouse droid hate pure and simple.

This set has some anti-strafe pieces but the Seps are way more than just straffers anymore.

lol I mostly just having some fun. However:
The Seps got only 3 pieces (the least) and even got riveled out on the Droidika and had the Buzz droid as Fringe (not that the buzz gets any better in the CIS). Come on! The Seps are universally known as THE strafe faction. No one does it better.
I think that is is a great idea to limit strafes effectiveness especially in the CIS.

I see the Mouse droid counter on this guy now, I guess it didn't cross my mind. I think that is a good idea as too many squads are mouse reliant.

By CIS I assume you mean Seps? Not what I intended, but anti-droid or droid-flavored abilities were more theme oriented than direct hate.

What else about him weren't you expecting?

There are still two more HAnd of Judgement characters to make, hopefully set 9, I forgot to push for their inclusion in Set-8. I envisioned them much like Delta Squad and Yayax squad.

Seps were given some INCREDIBLE pieces in the last 2 main V-sets and in VoW, every faction gets a break once in a while, a few sets ago it was Imperials and Rebels. Seps do strafe probably the best but a few other factions can try now...Regardless most people don't like strafe, counters to it are nice to have at least available.

CIS means Confederacy of Independent Systems, it is the official name for the Separatist movement.

Obviously, but sometimes the same acronym can mean two things, and since Sep hate wasn't the direction I was going with Davin I wanted clarify that you weren't talking about some Special Ability or Character that I wasnt thinking about,

Oh I misunderstood. I don't think it is Sep hate, that was Deathwielded. I like Davin, he helps out Rebels alot in getting around those pesky mouse droids since their attack has been a problem for a while (outside of Han picking around them.)

If something blows you away, it's broken. You should look at these pieces and say "that's pretty good/decent
/solid."

well...........then that means that this is the only set WITHOUT "broken" piecesUnsure

I know that was one of our goals was to make pieces that synergize well with older themes, and help improve some of the tier 2 builds, while creating new, fun themes/builds while at the same time steering away from the uber-broken piece that jumps off the page.

I was kind of expecting Recon or some sort of intel gathering mechanism. (to represent him finding the weakness of the AT-AT's and for spying for the Rebels) I like how he makes mice targets. Good job with this guy V-set team.
Yes I refer to the Separatists as the CIS.

I was JOKING about Sep hate, though I believe that a case could be made. You could even say this set and the last one has GOWK hate since we have so many new pieces that can ignore a characters defenses. (Like the new Bane)

This set has a LOT of counters for ALOT of different things. I could go through and list them if you guys want. Just because we got counters to a certain character or characters from a certain faction, doesn't mean you guys HATE it/them.

Thanks! YV Seer looks to be very helpful. Lord Scourge is ... a gamble. Tons of damage output but will it be dealt against the opposing squad or your own?

Agreed. A question for the Seer, are abilities that have to be touch now range 2?

Does anyone know when a PDF version will be ready? This set looks fantastic and can't wait to try some of them.

I don't think so, Touch doesn't really qualify as a range to boost.

The Seer brings recon and Painful screach to the Vong, both of which can be quite helpful. (now we just need a character with Immediate Yuuzan Vong Reserves!)
The CE might help, but I don't imagine squad being made around it.

Lord Scourge Well I was figuring on Internal Strife, but Switching Loyalties is painful!Bored At least he has MotF2 and maybe a third shot at a reroll with CotE. He can be a super deadly assassin (whats his max damage without support? 160 with 4 attacks?) why didn't he get Lightsaber throw? A couple of Questions. For Switching Loyalties, does he make the save before he attacks? And for Lightsaber Bravado, does the +6 attack stack with his +10 attack? I thought it works similarly to Blaster 20 which replaces attacks and gives you a new attack value. Have I been using that SA wrong? (meaning should I have been combining the attack values and using it as a boost? )

Lord Scourge scares me with Shifting Loyalties and Internal Strife, but I guess if he's going to work it'll be in Sith with access to Sith Recruits.

Seer seems like a really good option for Yuuzhan Vong pure squads - he's like an alternative to Momaw Nadon.
