Here's a thought, the new Episode 1 in 3D will be released on 2/10. Perhaps we then head out to catch it, after we wrap up the Epic 500 on Saturday night? Somehow fitting given the top prize...

I want that saber! And yes, it does seem rather fitting.

Well scrub that idea... As the PM 3D is only a one day release, set only for 2/10. Mad

Just getting back into the game and planning on attending this tournament, but I am unfamiliar with the "Restricted Map List", so if someone could tell me what maps can be used that would be great.
Thanks.

Here's Kezzamachine's fancy map list - http://save11.fusion.net.nz/index.html

Three additional maps have been added to the restricted map with the latest floor rules, which were just released the other day:
- Cantina Map (JC League Kit 3) X X X
- Off World Shipping Center (MM MoM 1) X X X
- Off World Cargo Docks (MM MoM 3) X X X

@ patar7 great to hear that you'll be joining us, if there is anything else you need let me know. Thanks to TheHutts for the restricted map post, though I'm a bit bummed that Sinkhole didn't make the restricted list.

As a note to all who'll be coming be sure to review the 2012 SWMGPA floor rules; as there are some significant changes which might influence squad decisions. Most notable is the revision to Soresu Style Mastery under s.617.

For those travelers who'll be staying in Rochester on the 18th, the best hotel rate I've found is at the Comfort Suites on Hylan Dr. The rates vary from $84 to $109 depending on room type and booking preference. I've booked a double queen and would be looking for roommate/s to cut the cost down.

Or my Zannah card it would seem... ;-)

On a serious note stopped in at Millennium yesterday and we are all set for our SWM weekend. One change though, we will be housed in the old shop on Sunday, as they have a 150 person Yi-Gi-Oh regional event. So good news, we'll have plenty of room on both days. The new shop has a wide selection of drinks and snacks on hand, so that is an added bonus.

Per SHNN and recent posts over on swmgamers, the cards sets are in bound so the last piece of the prize support will be on-hand. Remember to pull down the PDF as soon as it's available, since Vengeance & Cantina will be in play for FrostyCon.

Great news! All of the prize support has arrived and we are a go for launch. A very special shout out & thanks to our friends urbanjedi and engineer in MI! The generous donations of a few extra v-sets and now copies of the Cantina maps maps are a fantastic complement to the first place prizes. Thank you both once again! BlooMilk BlooMilk BlooMilk

I'll be posting prize support pix shortly.

Gerry, I keep trying to send you a message, but it screws up. Nason and I plan on attending. I will send you details as soon as I can get thru to you on the BlooMessage system. (unless you have a more reliable way).

OK then... Well its hard to believe that we are one week away from FrostyCon and its time for a pre-Mouseketeer roll-call. Given some of the feedback about BMing, if anyone needs to reach me please send e-mail correspondence to trelane@mindspring.com.

With that said I will be looking for rough numbers for attendees for both days and that means you guys in Jamestown & Dunkirk! Wink

BTW... can anyone assist me on what the easiest way to post the pix of the Maul sabers?

@ jak... Are you and the juice man traveling Fri or Sat AM? As I was considering the possibility of some Friday nite follies at my casa. Maybe some Epic Duo action etc...

Ok lads... Something to consider then... If you two do get on the road early, then perhaps you stay in Lockport Fri night. Then you could head over to my house as Kris, Nason and maybe Ian will be here and we could do some Friday nite battlin. Added bonus, we all could head to Roch in the AM.

A couple of things to note... First for those of you planning on Republic builds please pay attention to the latest rule changes regarding Verpine Shatter Rifle; as it now follows the targeting rules, per Sithborg.

Second, I am looking for a volunteer on Saturday to bring their laptop along to act as a backup source for running the tourney spreadsheet. In the unlikely event my laptop takes a header, I don't want to be scrambling on Saturday to figure out the pairings.
