I'm thinking it might be more balanced as an ability triggered by a crit.

RAOotS: Whenever this character rolls a natural 20 on an attack, the target is -20 damage for remainder of skirmish.

There we go! That sounds better though I would need to add: against an adjacent enemyRazz

Mmm, good point and that makes it a natural pairing with Momentum. Or you could just give Chewbacca an existing ability all hopped up on Mountain Dew:

Rend +100? sounds just about right for the Walking Carpet with anger issues (watch out Vader, Chewie might make you relive a bad memory from mustafar!Flapper )

That begs the question, "What smells worse, a sweaty Wookiee or a smoldering human wrapped in leather?"

Here is my entry: Chewbacca, Noble Wookiee Warrior
HP 140
DEF 18
ATT 10
DAM 20
Unique
Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
Deadly Attack (Scores a critical hit on an attack roll of natural 19 or 20)

Ripping Arms out of their Sockets (Whenever this character scores a critical hit against an adjacent enemy, the target gets -20 damage for remainder of skirmish.)

Distraction (Suppresses adjacent enemy commander effects)

Solo's Decoy (Whenever an ally whose name contains Solo within 6 squares is targeted, this character may switch positions with that character. This character becomes the target instead)

Momentum (If this character has moved this turn, he gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against adjacent enemies)

Hostage Shield (When this character would take damage from an attack, designate an adjacent character that is not the attacker to take the damage instead. That character avoids this effect with a save of 11.)

Flavor Text:
"Once one gets within reach, there is no such thing as an unarmed Wookiee" just soon to be unarmed enemies ;)

This is Chewbacca from the Shadows of Mindor during the brawl on the Falcon. I was going to make a more basic Chewbacca type (ranged, Pilot, Repair, ect) but thought this guy was unique enough for the contest.
Besides I just couldn't get the SA's that I wanted to work out, like a Bowcaster SA that would work like Splash and Blast Cannon combined, or a Mounted weapons support SA (no mounted weapon characters in the NR :P)

Chewbacca Being Hit By That Moon: very funny, but I don't think it's an actual character, I was also thinking of creating some comical mini'sWink . 7
Chewbacca, Noble Wookiee Warrior: Cannot rate my own.Tongue
Chewbacca, Legendary Wookiee: Very strong, high HP, usual Bodyguard and repair represented. I like the shoot second idea for Chewbacca and his name is probably my favorite in the contest. Valiant Sacrifice while strong may be hard to activate. 9
Chewie: Adept Repair fit this guy even better then Revan! Very powerful Chewbacca with +12 attack, 30 damage double attack, Blast Cannon and Cleave (easy to give him Evade and GMA also) though I think he is even more geared to keeping your Solo's/Skywalkers aliveThumpUp. 9
Chewbacca Hero of Sernpidal: got Crazy high HP (200!) Draw fire and Solo's bodyguard use that high hp to help keep your allies alive. Though I understand your reasoning on Density Projector I think it needs a name change, also Throw does work like a more limited Telekinesis (adjacent then move 6) however I still think it should cuz 10 damage since your getting thrown by a wookiee (maybe with a save or characters with a force rating takes no damage) cool piece though. 8
Chewbacca, Companion to Anakin Solo: He has alota stuff on him he needs some corrections seems like some strange ideas (not necessarily bad) just needed some attention 7
Han Solo and Chewbacca, Infamous Pilots: I'm not a huge fan of duo pieces but this one is pretty nice. Smuggler's Hold is a great movement breaker, also everything on him fits well. Since he is rebel with affinity for the NR and this is a contest for Chewbacca IN the NR it seems like a stretch and thus loses some points, still an 8 though.
Chewbacca of the Millenium Falcon: A lot of unique stuff here (so the usual good quality for you) good to finally see a Bowcaster SA (Haven't figured mine outSad) Keen Scent is useful and interesting. Carry (code Black anyone?) could help save a wounded allie or move your cannon into position. May be undercosted (the Rapport is a good idea though!) this is my favorite in the contest with 10 and my vote!BlooMilk

Chewbacca, Legendary Wookiee - Valiant Sacrifice is cool and he's a solid melee threat. Feels very Chewie-ish. simple, but flavorful. 10
Chewie - A bit complicated but worth it. I love all the new SAs. 9
Chewbacca Hero of Sernpidal - HP is a bit high but I like Throw. Very inventive. 9
Chewbacca, Companion to Anakin Solo - My nitpicking here is that Camaraderie should be Synergy. He's also a bit undercosted. I like the the choice of SAs, though. 7
Han Solo and Chewbacca, Infamous Pilots - I really, really, really like Smuggler's Hold. Bit overcosted due to size, though. 9
Chewbacca of the Millenium Falcon - I like Bowcaster and Brute Force. I worry that a 40 damage Accurate Shooter with easy access to Evade, Keen Scent and a movement-breaking SA for allies might be a bit strong for 33 points. However, it's still a great piece. 8
Chewbacca, Noble Wookiee Warrior - RAootS should probably be on a nat 20 only. I don't really understand HS on here. Solo's Decoy is a good idea, but overall dosen't feel very Chewie-ish to me. 7

peg's Chewbacca, Legendary Wookiee gets my vote.

Surprisingly less entries this time...

Alright, here goes!

Chewie (Andyhatton) 9
A cool Chewie. It has A LOT of situational abilities going on, though they are cool to build a squad around.

Chewbacca, Companion to Anakin Solo (Cassus Fett) 9
Another nice Chewbacca! Nice synergy with Ani-solo, though hard to keep active. Well placed Noble Sac, and very cost effective (almost TOO good, until compared with Rebel Hero). Nice one!

Chewbacca being hit by that moon (by 'Da Horn!)... Uh... (calculates what hidden message said)... 7.566 x10 raised to the 26th power, minus 6.8566 x10 raised to the 26th power (precisely). So..... 7?
It was a nice try, but for the contest... I'm just not sure. It's not even entirely Chewbacca Blink BigGrin Points for effort, but... I mean, it's halfway that MOON, and one 17th chewie being hit by it, and the other 15/34ths Chewbacca himself... Wink

Chewbacca, Oldest Friend (corranhornsux123) 9
A very good Chewie... Great custom abilities, very fitting synergies, everything is nice, except I think he's overcost a little; as his HP is quite low for a Wookiee, and no Defense. But then, that's not his purpose I think.

Chewbacca Hero of Sernpidal (Darthbane53) 10
A very creative, defiant Chewbacca. Nice use of Density Projector. 200 HP, even with no defense (like most Chewies) may be too high though, for 54, but not by much. Throw is nice, but I think a little too good; it should activate the character thrown I think. All in all, looks like a very fun Chewbacca to play!

Chewbacca, Noble Wookiee Warrior (Deathwielded) 9
Obviously, the eye-catching feature on this one is RtAootS, and I think it's a bit to powerful because of simplicity (especially with Deadly), but not too much considering his survivability. I'm not sure about Hostage Shield on a Chewiee... besides being out of character to my knowledge, he IS a Wookiee... Good overall job though!

Chewbacca, Legendary Wookiee (pego!!!) 10! 10! 1_ Oh, right.... Sorry... BlooMilk Blushing *boos* Scared Crying Mellow Mad Angry Cursing Bomb Bomb Bomb No Bloo Milk

Chewbacca of the Millenium Falcon (robobob) 9
One of my favorite in the contest. I like Keen Scent, Master Repair is cool, great flavor on the piece. I don't know about the Carry, I may have made it more for specific pieces (the Solo's Anakin's), and another movement breaker for another faction. Brute Force may be strong on an Accurate character, but with 1 attack he should be well balanced. Flavor text is great LOL

Han Solo and Chewbacca, Infamous Pilots (saber1) 8
A nice piece in itself, but in this contest (NR Chewie), being a Rebel w/affinity for NR Han and Chewie... I'm not sure. Seems a bit undercost most of the time, and Smuggler's Hold is a bit confusing...

And, that's a wrap! I know I used the 9 a lot... A lot of the pieces seemed really good, but none of them felt to me, while judging it in a contest, as perfect 10's, except the Hero of Sernpidal! So my vote goes to Darthbane53!

Great jobs everyone!

Ok, kids. Here are my votes for this week. Thanks to Deathwielded for making the list with hyperlinks to each custom. I'm basically looking at over all flavor and original SAs we haven't seen on custom Chewbaccas before.

Robobob's Chewbacca of the Millenium Falcon (Me. skip)

Saber1's Han Solo and Chewbacca, Infamous Pilots 8
This is a powerhouse Han/Chewie combo. SH is cool though wordy.

Casses Fett's Chewbacca, Companion to Anakin Solo 7
11 SAs, but the only custom one Camaraderie should be Synergy.

Darthbane53's Chewbacca Hero of Sernpidal 9
BG and DF make him a great protector. Don't understand the Speed 8. I don't know if throw would be better for enemies + a little damage, but I understand why it's there. Great flavor text.

AndyHatton's Chewie 8
Camraderie for Lowbacca is original. Blast cannon makes sense cause bowcasters dealt more damage close up.

pegolego's Chewbacca, Legendary Wookiee 9
Some standard Chewie stuff here but VS works great with bodyguard.

Deathwielded's Chewbacca, Noble Wookiee Warrior 10
The most original Chew on here. SD is a cool new type of protect ability. Raoots is cool and fitting. Nice use of Hostage shield too.

Corranhorn's Chewbacca Being Hit By That Moon 7
A funny take on Chewbacca, but I don't know if the character warrants 33 pts when he can only do damage when sacrificed.

That's it for me. A lot of cool interesting takes on protection abilities and neat camaraderies/synergies.

I really don't have to much time at the moment to write a huge sprawling review so I'm just going to cast my vote for DarthBanes as my favourite and pick to win
