If some one has double attack, can 1 ally with line of sight, add a plus 4 bonus for the first attack thanks to combine fire and then a different ally with line of sight add plus 4 for the second attack due to combine fire? If so, I assume none of that could be done for twin attack, right?

Note that if a character with the Flanking Support special ability combines fire against an enemy within 6 squares and the attack hits, then the enemy is -4 attack for the rest of the round. So effectively, that character is automatically combining fire against that enemy for the rest of the round. (Note that Flanking Support won't stack with itself, though, so the enemy will only suffer the -4 once per round.)

I don't think I've ever actually played a game where anyone used Flanking Support.

Yes, you need a different character to combine on each attack if the attacker has Twin etc.

It is on the Galactic Alliance Scout which I use from time to time but I don't know if I've ever actually combined fire with him...

So, 1 ally can combine fire for the first attack of a double attack and a second ally can combine for the second attack of a double attack.
Also, can the same be said for twin attack? I thought that twin was an automatic attack against the same character? This makes me think that a second ally could not combine fire for the second attack, but maybe they can. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, a second ally could combine fire on the Twin Attack or Double Attack, etc.

Twin Attack triggers whenever the character attacks (including after a Double Attack, so Double+Twin=4 attacks. Also attacks of opportunity, 'granted' attacks like from a Bothan Noble, etc.). The Twin Attack is always against the same target. But it is a separate attack and you can combine fire on it just like any other attack.
