Then how about dropping IO and HRD template and giving her Willing to Serve and a CE that hands out HRD to droids in a NR squad? Otherwise you could have HRD Template specify "When in a NR squad".

A good point about IO, it does kinda work like a fringe affinity. However when I wrote that they can have affnity I meant that they can go into other factions, but that they must start in the faction of choice. Sorry for not being clearer with rule 1.

But whats the point of giving a Fringe character affinity when it can be in that squad anyways?? It doesn't make any-sense...anyways you can withdraw my Guri i made it for New Rep and that's what I intend her to be. Sorry i dnt wanna make her fringe just to (fit) the idea. If i may still vote i would like to.

My entry for this week is Guri, Black Sun Enforcer Guri, Black Sun Enforcer Cost: 35 Hit Points: 90 Defense: 20 Attack: 13 Damage: 10 Special Abilities Unique. Melee Attack; Twin Attack Acrobatic (Ignores enemy characters when moving) Assassin (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against living enemies) Black Sun Enforcer (An ally who counts as Xizor or Black Sun cannot have their commander effects suppressed) Human Replica Droid (Nonliving; immune to critical hits; subject to commander effects) Protective +10 (+10 Damage while a wounded ally who counts as Xizor is within 6 squares) Stealth (If this character has cover, she does not count as the nearest enemy for an attacker farther than 6 squares when choosing targets) Teräs Käsi Style (Whenever this character takes damage from a melee attack, reduce the damage dealt by 10) Throw (Replaces attacks: Target an adjacent character of equal or smaller base size. Push back target 3 squares, 20 damage.)This ended up reflecting Guri on assignment for Xizor. I like this approach because leaving Xizor's Bodyguard unique to the WotC version serves two purposes. First, it prevents this piece from completely replacing the Wizo version. Second, it give two options that play differently. Guri BSE has better damage output and synergizes well with the Vigos. Throw can help keep those pesky Jedi away from Xizor ans BSE keeps your commanders commanding.

Everyone went for the same feel on this one. All trying to give a solid character a bit more usability. She is a difficult piece to think of, and could easily get bogged down with lots of new custom SA’s. I think the results are some healthy and interesting visions.
Guri, Black Sun Enforcer saber1 Black Sun Suppression is a beast of an ability, and a natural progression for the way the game is going. (soon we will have overwhelming, ultimate, infinite, no-backsies suppression :P) Throw is great too, plus, Acrobat, an underestimated ability on this character. Run, jump, pick up and throw to their death! Teräs Käsi Style seems to be the perfect fit for her defence. Lovely! 9
Guri, Hand of Xizor adamb0nd Tough one to grasp, has everything you’d expect but doesn’t seem to fit (imo) Has access to all the Suns CE which will aid her superbly. Hostage shield for when she gets in close is interesting. Mobile Overwhelm is a naughty combo too! 9
Guri, Black Sun Lieutenant CerousMutor Tried to keep her simple but the more I read, the more I thought. I didn’t want to give too many new CE’s to BS followers, so I came up with BSR, to use the often underappreciated Mercenaries Sub faction, seemed like a natural progression. Clamp and Penetration for her strength, ComLink and her relay-esqe CE for her Xizor intralink Lieutenant stature.
Guri, Replica Droid Assassin Lord_Ball Nice combo of normal SA’s to create a very nice version of her. Love that it’s a tough, simple interference piece, not getting past her without getting hit! 9
Guri, Black Sun Representitive Deathwielded I nearly went down the Programmed target route with mine. Another nice selection of abilities here, Aggressive Negotiations is the key for me on this one. I couldn’t think of a nice way to use it. My only worry with her, is she is open for any faction. GGDAC could abuse her, but maybe that’s a good thing. 9.5!
Guri, Xizor's Decoy markedman247 She has a nice pair of Boosts for Xizor. Phnar phnar!! Seriously, a very well thought out mini this!! Advanced Processor allows you to beef her, while she gives Xizor some new toys (Camaraderie) and survive ability (Xizors Decoy) My fav piece (blasted you MM247) 10
Guri, New Republic Mercenary CorranHornsux123 New Republic? For the life of me I couldn’t find anything to corroborate why she should be in the NR? She helped Dash but she had no affiliation to anything at the time. It would be like putting Cade Skywalker in the NR because Lukes ghost is?! That all aside, I liked this piece. Full of flavour and all things I like in a custom. This HRD ability would need a bit more work to prevent uber abuse. If fringe 9.75... 0 becasue you didnt change for the rules.
Guri, Xizor's Decoy markedman247 gets my vote

As to y i made her NR it was because she worked with Kyle Katarn and was the Template for droids used by the New Republic

First to CH123: I think the instructions were a bit of a Cut and Paste error for the affinity. The oversight was unfortunate. However, the crux of the instructions were clear: Fringe Guri. That doesn't disregard your efforts. I will review the piece on your miniature page. I remember looking at it and I will give you some suggestions.
Back to the reviews: Lord Ball: I really like what you have here. I think she might be a couple of points too expensive (her max damage is 20 on a living character if she's not in the Seps) but she's sleek and elegant. Her CE might need a bit more refinement in wording. Nothing major. 9.5
AdamB0nd: A LOT of tricks here for her. I'm partial to a generic ability for granting CE boosts to Droids so I think BSR would need a bit more tweaking in the wording to make it more sleek. There's a lot of damage shifting and manipulation. I would either take one or the other over Hostage Shield and Xizor's Bodyguard. Overwhelming Power, my suggestion, might be pretty good if her base damage was 10 vs 20. Otherwise, I would have gone with Penetration 10 or 20. 9
CerousMutor: Interesting take on the character. I think the CE needs to be fleshed out a bit more in order for full clarification. CE's that affect her, now being a Cyborg in basics, could be a bit more problematic. HK's +6 Def to Black Sun is welcome but the teaming with GG-DAC would probably be a bit over the top on a couple of the newer Uniques. I might have given her the Talon Karrde Treatment with "If in a squad of only Fringe." That said, I love the Merc love and until a new Nym appears, she might be best choice. 9.25
Saber1: You and are on the same wavelength for this character. We both believe that the base stats of the original were very good considering. Both liked Protective and Acrobatic. The variance is with the other stuff. As mentioned previous, I am more of the "generic" method of making her a CE useable. HRD is pretty much for her and possibly an I-5YQ (spoilers). I think throw/toss/push etc is something that could have an optional save by enemy to be tossed vs automatic damage. I can see her and Tarpals being good friends in pushing 2 at a time after moving 6. BSE is a great idea for her. With Talon Karrde's dynamics in play, I think it might be an option for an "All Fringe" or an All Black Sun concept of conditional ability. This would go great with the Dug BSV. 9.5
Deathwielded: Yours is what I wanted mine to be in most regards. I weighed Distraction (very closely in fact), Close Quarters Fighting, Relay Orders, Aggressive Negotiations. I was close to making her a BS version of Jarael. (No typo. I know what I am saying). That being said, the Programmed Target thing is a bit strange. I get it but for all her up close abilities, you gave her Programmed Target. She's the only non-melee version that I saw so it makes sense. But without any other boosts or ways of making her gain damage, she's merely pinging at +13 at someone unless they are adjacent for 10 damage. The HRD thing is still mostly specific for something that may come up again at some point in time for other pieces. 9.5
I have a 3 way tie for my vote. 3 very strong versions of one of my favorite characters ever put to pen. She almost as strong as a Joss Whedon female character (not as god-like though).
If I have to choose, I will go with.... *pan of each contestant in the tie*
Winner: Lord Ball- I'm a sucker for the simplicity. Granted, mine is that that simple in the regards.

markedman247, Xizor's Decoy: 8.75 I think advanced processor needs some work on the wording (just as I stated under CHS's version) Rules-wise as is I don't think would override the CE limitation of Droid. That said I know the intent, so I won't lower my rating for it. A good attempt to make Xizor playable, though with all she offers I think she'd see more play on her own than within a "Black Sun squad".
adamb0nd, Hand of Xizor: 9.25 I like the changes and am still a fan of Hostage Shield + Bodyguard.
CerousMutor, Black Sun Lieutenant: 8.75 BSR is a nice way to boost BS options. Might be a bit overcosted at 42, as with only Teras Kasi Style for defense and 90 HP she's fairly vulnerable.
saber1, Black Sun Enforcer: 9.5 My personal Favorite version of HRD. BSE is very handy for making a BS Squad overall very nice.
CorranHornsux123, New Republic Mercenary: 8.75 With the changes I suggested to comply with the rules I don't think you'd lose anything, as is it's still an interesting version. Final Stand is a cool ability, I could see it appearing on a Ganner or other such mini in the future.
Deathwielded, Black Sun Representative: 8.5 I didn't see a link for your entry in the thread, is your entry valid? Either way - A nice suite of abilities, though definitely could use a situational damage boosting ability (Assassin, Cunning, or Opportunist)
my vote is for adamb0nd
While I think saber1's version is a bit more well rounded, Hostage Shield+ Bodyguard just sounds too fun.

markedman247's Guri, Xizor's Decoy The Camaraderie is excellent in fact if I could have I would have used this for my version Xizor's Decoy is also good. If I had top pick one thing to remove it would be Protective +20. Advanced Processor has a good effect I'm just not sure about the name. 9.75 Lord_Ball's Guri, Replica Droid Assassin This character loves to make attacks outside of her turn, she even make the enemy even more fearful of triggering a AoO. Very cool idea. 9.5 adamb0nd's Guri, Hand of Xizor Black Sun Replica helps give her access to CE's although limited to BS allies only (so no Talon ) Maybe alittle to strong at melee for my tastes. But I guess that other than CorranHornsux123 my version is the only one without Melle Attack. (funny how the two guys who are disqualified both had a similar idea) Stealth was a good choice for CE's and Hostage Shield is cool. 8.5 CerousMutor's Guri, Black Sun Lieutenant this character has sooooo many options it's almost unreal. Black Sun Recruitment gives the Black Sun some more options (although Mercenary will still be a pain) This character is effected by many CE's and allows other BS characters to benefit from them as well. My question is since she can benifit from Droid CE's then does that mean that the BS characters within six also benefit from them? All of a sudden the Black Sun is wayyyyy stronger in the CIS. Clamp is cool. 8 saber1's Guri, Black Sun Enforcer Teräs Käsi Style and Stealth ae great on her plus Protective +10 fits on this version better. Black Sun Enforcer, Human Replica Droid and Throw are all great work. I don't see any problems with this character and she is well balanced. 9.5 CorranHornsux123 Guri, New Republic Mercenary This is a very different version, I have to keep reminding myself that I'm looking at Guri. I don't understand the idea behind her because I never saw the source materiel. I don't think I remeber ever hearing about the New Republic Droids ever being upgraded as such and I'm pretty sure that I should have after reading 30+ books set in the New Republic- Galactic Alliance time period. (so maybe it's not cannon?) Now to the character: She seems like a good shooter with a added damage when adjacent if she doesn't move. I thought Final Stand was good work, but then I remembered that we already have a SA that does that called Long Shot 10. After all this I'm not sure giving Droids the ability to be effected by normal CE's is safe or really worth while. And I'm sorry to say but your character like mine is still disqualified. Good attacker, but the bonus isn't what we need. 7 My vote this week goes to Markedman247's version.

Here is the part from her Wook page.
A new life
"There are parts based on hers in me, as well as all of our clients. She is our mother, if you like, and is held in great reverence." ―Stanton Rendar, on Guri
Afterwards, Guri walked into a bar, where Dash Rendar, also believed dead around the time of the death of Xizor, offered to buy her a drink. The two eventually formed a mercenary team, and were recruited by Admiral Gial Ackbar of the New Republic to help place a spy on the Tof fortress world of Saijo, teaming up with New Republic agents Kyle Katarn and Bey for the mission. Knowing what Guri was, Rendar quickly conceived of a plan—by copying Guri's technology, he could create more of the valuable Human replica droids. Guri agreed to serve as a template for the development of more HRDs and served as Rendar's partner during the research and development phase. Afterwards, the two went their separate ways, though the development of the technology continued through Onadax Droid Technologies.
So yea my Guri was canon just thought i would point that out.

Oh my. I'm sorry guys. I was busier than I hoped I'd be, but I certainly could have put SOMETHING out if I had realized the lack of entries this week (or at least voted). I apologize for not paying attention, and for being lax about making an entry (and ultimately for never getting around to it). I'll try to vote next time there's a shortage of entries even if I'm not entered. Oh, and congrats to MM!

So yea my Guri was canon just thought i would point that out. I read that too. She teamed up, and then left. Just like Boba teamed up with Vader, it didnt make him Sith or an Imp. I didnt dispute that she was canon, I just thinks its a long streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch to say she falls under the NR faction
