Ah! I rely on DW's links to vote easily and lazily lol Razz

Anyway, here goes:

Darth Krayt, Overseer of the Purge (Gungan Batman Clone) 9
This custom is very nice. I think it shows just how diverse this character can be; it has almost no elements similar to mine (stats/cost maybe), yet EVERYTHING feels like Krayt. Powerful, and he'll hang around awhile with VC6 + Illusion. Transfer to help get off Triple, then get to the back next round after another Triple and recover the next turn. Pilot makes him even MORE powerful, and makes him potentially longer-lasting (plus it opens up the GMA potential). I think he's VERY powerful (Sense the Future is ALSO a VERY powerful ability, but it does soak up FP's that could be important for combat/illusion, which is why Illusion is that much nicer on this piece, since it means that the opponent is the one who might have to reroll the save 11 with it's precious force and not Krayt). Hopefully not overly so. A+ for representation and ability choice imo. Oh, love the CE too.

Darth Krayt, The One Sith (Lord_Ball) 9
Ability selection seems to fit today's mobile-game (Assault/Riposte with Twin is nice). A bit fragile, but not overly so at his cost I think (compared to the other choices with Krayt). I thought at first maybe he was costed too high since he restricts spirits, but then I noticed the CE (second 'affinity' part); that definitely makes some INTERESTING options. I like the Sith restriction on 'the one sith'; prevents some abuse I think. The 2 or less is good on it, to keep it from getting out of hand. Overall, a though piece to judge, but I like where you went with it.

Darth Krayt, Darkside Empowered (Cerous Mutor) 8
I don't know about handing out Momentum with Bandon running around. The other part of the CE is nice though. VC6 with 160 HP is a lot of staying power, but with little other defense, not too much. ATF Walking is a powerful ability, balanced by Ravaged (a nice ability!). I don't care for Chain Lightning though, honestly Sad. Drain Life can be nice, but does it take effect before or after the 20 damage for ravaged comes off? This could come into effect when a., it would fill him to full (then him take damage after using it) or b., he would die from the 20, and not get to put the rest on possibly? I don't know how the ruling would work on that... The ability choice is good overall (quite a few though!).

Darth Krayt, Dark Lord of the One Sith (AndyHatton) 9
Master Shatterpoint is great! Still tough to use in MOST situations, as it's easy to block/soresy/makashi/etc. etc. the crit these days, since it has to be on the first, but a great improvement over the original in most situations. I don't quite understand the direction you took with Jar'Kai (which is NOT saying I don't think it's right, just that I don't think I understand the style well enough to know whether or not it fits). CE is nice, I like the idea of handing out TttDS since it is so little used. Master Illusion +potential Dark Aura from Exar's Spirit makes for some impossible attacks, but at the cost of 2 force; I like the choice here. Stasis Chamber is cool; quite risky, since he can't renew/give out the CE while in Stasis, so he loses a LOT of his appeal coming in late, but can be interesting.

And, finally, Darth Krayt, Dark Lord in Stasis (saber1) 8
I honestly still have mixed feelings about this one. As I mentioned above, Sense the Future is a very powerful ability (only in two factions thus far) and on this particular piece, it is much easier to justify using/have FP available to use on it than on GBC's version imo, especially giving it to Wyyrlock as well, with Holosid potentially to give him Renewal. The Krayt boosting is flavorful, but less useful than potentially broken imo. In the end, I don't think the chance to bring Krayt in (probably worth essentially 50 or less being brought in by the time the game is a good portion over) comes into play with the costing of the piece/judging (honestly, the save with Recruits running around and such shouldn't be hard to make, and it's still 2/4 if he's last in the squad to bring in another Sith to fight), but this piece is still VERY tough to judge. There are so many possibilities with him. It's hard to wrap your head around 'is he balanced, is he not'... 'is this interaction a good idea or is it not'. One more thing (this is just kind of an after thought and has no effect on judging or anything); I PROBABLY would remove the range 6 on the first part of the CE, since he's kinda meant to be paired with Wyyrlock anyway it would seem, and he has booming voice.

Voting is tough this week, as was judging, but in the end, Darth Krayt, Dark Lord of the One Sith by AndyHatton gets the vote. I considered GBC's version heavily as well, but in the end

pegolego, Power of the Darkside 9
No sure how I feel about Dispassionate Killer here with MOTF2 +Mettle +Avoid Defeat but at 86 points I guess it's not really an issue that he's hard to take down and will bring a beating to the opponent.

Gungan Batman Clone, Overseer of the Purge 9
Transfer Essence and Sense the Future certainly make him a very powerful alternative to Kun for that play style, nicely done.

CerousMutor, Darkside Empowered 8.5
At 82 points I think Ravaged by the Darkside is a bigger issue than intended, sure Crab Armor is reducing the damage most of the time, but he's guaranteed to take 10 damage for every Force Power used. As cool as he is he loses a lot of playability when compared to other Sith Options IMO.

AndyHatton, Dark Lord of the One Sith 8.5
A lot going on here - too much for my taste, as cool as Stasis Chamber is I think it would work better on it's own ala Carbonite Han Style. At 70 Points you could just drop Jar'kai in favor of Twin and Parry directly.

saber1, Dark Lord in Stasis 9
I like Awaken a lot since when it triggers Wyyrlok becomes less powerful, though I think Camaraderie for Wyyrlok offers too much considering he's already a bargain at 20 points.

My Vote goes to pegolego.

One Sith is very cool, and there is a lot of damage output and survivability. But, I think he is under-costed seeing as how he practically has 2 commander effects.

I originally was going to cost him in the high 50's, but after comparing him to Darth Caedus, Sith Lord, felt a cost reduction was necessary (especially with his rivalry with Spirits).

Darth Krayt, Overseer of the Purge by Gungan Batman Clone 8.5
Looks like a clone of Exar Kun, or very similar at least. Light damage output for his cost. Decent sturdiness with VCA6, Recovery 30 and 140 HP.

Darth Krayt, The One Sith by Lord_Ball 8.5
Stout piece with EoP, VCA6 and Recovery 30. The only things which keep this close to proper cost are 100HP and lack of MotF. Rival isn't a large hindrance, especially with the CE.

Darth Krayt, Darkside Empowered by Cerous Mutor 9.25
In the vein of early Sith pieces, this has BIG stats and BIG cost. Dare I say retro? What really got my attention was Drain Life 5. Coupled with VCA6, it really gives him staying power even with Ravaged by the Dark Side looming in the shadows. Chain Lightning gives him range, something sorely lacking in most heavy hitters. I don't see the CE as a detriment as 40ish% of the squad (@ 200 points) is consumed by the one piece. Darth Talon and Atton get all kinds of crazy with Bandon and this Krayt while several sub-par pieces are actually playable. A shortage of Force points will be the largest limitation here.

Darth Krayt, Dark Lord of the One Sith by AndyHatton 9
The CE really sets this piece off. The One Sith sub-faction theme is interesting as is Stasis Chamber. I'm not sure if Sith Reinforcements 30 allows Uniques or not so I'm not sure how to properly evaluate SC. I'm not crazy about your version of Jar'Kai and I think Illusion might have been a better choice given his FP generation.

Darth Krayt, Dark Lord in Stasis by saber1
No Comment.

Darth Krayt, Power of the Dark Side by pegolego 8.75
The glaring oddity here is Dispassionate Killer. I'm not sure it fits. When factoring in Avoid Defeat, MotF2, Mettle and Sith Recruits, the risk of defeat is largely mitigated. Perhaps Sith Rage 2 would have been a cleaner and more accurate choice. Damage output is nice!

My vote this week goes to CerousMutor's Darth Krayt, Darkside Empowered. Its a big, B.A. old school Sith beatstick with some nasty new tricks and a kicking CE.

Cheers Saber1. That was exactly my aim BlooMilk worked hard on this one

Woot Think this is my first ever vote! ThumbsUp

I agree with Saber1. It feels to me to be the most accurate version of Krayt. I also might be a bit biased because CerousMutor took my advice on his SA :)

Congrats on the vote Cerous; it is a rush to get that first one! @saber1, great feedback; I definitely will consider rage instead. It would mean recosting him and a bit of a redesign, but it's something to consider. Rage probably fits better. My original intention was to create an interesting mechanic to make both Avoid Defeat and Dispassionate useful and necessary. Not sure it works, and it has made him hard to cost as well, so it may not work.

EDIT: Didn't want to make another post, but this is a reply to AndyHatton below me: Yeah, Dispassionate Killer seems not to have been the most popular choice Crying. I'll probably redesign him.

Pardon my short responses today running out of time a bit

Pegolego-8.5: I Like the power selection for the most part but I'm never really a fan of Dispassionate killer (or the like) on "bad guys" who don't really feel remorse.

Gungan Batman Clone: 9 Sort of a fun mash up between the 2 Krayts we have, with a few new things thrown in. Big strong piece with a big strong CE

Lord Ball: 8.5 I love Rival-Spirit and it provides an interesting build restriction especially for someone like me who has become overly reliant on Sith Spirits, not sure how I feel about One Sith though

CerousMutor-8.5 Ravaged is a great idea but very odd in practice especially here with a few draining type abilities, also for the points I don't think he is going to last very long with that defense and the big Force Powers he is going to need to use.

saber1- 9.5 there is a lot of interesting stuff here, the low cost and awaken mechanic to bring in a fairly scary piece are hard to evaluate at first glance, but I think there is so much here to like and work with that it is my favorite of the competition this week.

My vote is for saber1

Hey, DW: I'm going to be busy with Christmas preparations, but I know you probably will be too; if I can find some extra time today, you need me to add up the ratings?

NP! I just wasn't sure since you hadn't been able to do it yet if you were particularly busy this Christmas season.

Third isn't bad lol. I wasn't really familiar with the character, so this gave me a reason and a chance to create him and it turned out to be quite fun!

I'll be honest though, I wasn't sure how saber1's entry would be received, but it seems it turned out quite well! Congrats on a bold move and a well designed custom buddy!

Thanks pegolego. I took your input to heart and very nearly went with another version. However, I am quite fond of this piece and feel it was more fun (for me) than another beatstick. I'm glad it was well received. I'll likely keep tweaking it in the hopes the Vset designers want to make a "Potty Palps" version of another character.

Aing-Tii Flow-Walking is a head scratchier, I like how you tried to represent how he is dying.ThumpUp The first part of the CE is great! I think his Force powers are a little too supped up, but I like how he starts strong then gets weaker.

Thanks! BigGrin Krayt was a very powerful Sith, very under rated. Thats why I made him so beefy. Ravaged is the perfect counter point to his power. Similar to Reborn pals who was consumed by the darkside everytime he used it. Krayts was through the Vong implants that were slowly eating him, but I didnt want to contradict current Vong abilities. He was able to Mind Walk, which is a derivative of Aing-Tii Flow-Walking. I didint want to over complicate him with a VERY complex board wide attack ability.

And Congrats to Saber1 again!ThumpUp Some times you have to go with your gut and go against the grain, I do it too often though Razz
