Zenoc looks pretty well built. What I don't get is the Galactic Alliance Officer. I guess the rapport is due to Cadeus? yeah the Rapport is because of Caedus, and Kota's militia officer probably doesn't give Kota IO becuase we are getting a new version that probably has it. (Fingers Crossed) Oh please yes! It still would be nice to have old Kota then with Talon it would be +7 attack, +3 defense, +10 damage. Unfortunately the attack bonus' won't stack. I personally never cared for wizards rendition of Kota, very little actually fit him as a character. I know the V-set set team won't disappoint

As do most first dates. But then after the alcohol wears off and you wake up the next morning, the belt around your neck isn't as funny as it was the night before. Now it's time to take that young lady outside, spin her around twice and send her on her way. I'm holding all compliments until I see Bane.

I'm curious about Davin Felth. I expect Imperial affinity and maybe Internal Strife but what will he bring to the Rebels?

In fact, by himself he solves 3/4 problems the Vong have. 1 Ranged defense so they can survive long enough to get in close. 2. More attack, the Vong has suffered from attack values that never would scare a Jedi, especially since 99% of them are melee. 3. low damage output. The Vong haven't exactly been know to put a hurtin on their enemies, 10 damage just doesn't cut it (sorry for the pun )

In terms of most significant for gameplay, IMO: i) Zenoc Quah ii) Yoda, Hero of Geonosis - seems like a step up from the last batch of 100 point pieces, hard to defend against since he can do 90 on the move with Leaping Assault and is in the same faction as R2 Astromech. iii) Covenant Executor - handing out Force Leap is really useful. iv) Mando Demolitionist - very useful little grunt, in a faction that doesn't have many. v) Zann Consortium Droideka - I like OR Droid squads, and this piece fits in really well.

1. Darth Maul, Death Watch Overlord: Makes Death Watch squads nasty with Pre Vizsla 2. The Geonosians: Plain nasty with Alto Stratus and Talon, IB 3. Mandolorian Demolitionist: Will be very good alternative to 2 Ugnaughts. 4. Zenoc Quah: Gives Vong ranged defense. They need it so desperately

I would have loved to see the Thorium Charge do 10 damage against characters adjacent to the targeted door. Just a thematic and fun concept for door demoltion.

i would have to say so far my top 5 of the Spoiled Pieces has to be: 1 Darth Maul, Death Watch Overlord (Mostly Because i am a huge Mando Fan, and Well i Liked that Story Arc, Plus he is Decent) 2 Geonosian soldier with Sonic Cannon (Great piece, and fun too. Can destroy Heavy Jedi Squads.) 3 Gantoris (Always wanted Exar, Force Spirit on kyp, for fun, Now i can) 4 Chief Chirpa (Charging fire for ewoks is awesome, especially the Hang Glider) 5 Golden One ( Great flavor Piece and add alot to a submerging Sub-faction. Not to mention a great remake of a lousy piece.)

TheHutts wrote:The forced diversity from Zenoc is an interesting mechanic. Without playing Vong much, or thinking about it too much, I envisage squads with him running both Quorreal and Prefect DeGara - if you don't need Jedi Hatred but need activations, you could opt for lots of activations with Workers. Is this "forced diversity" or just can't have even one character that counts as another? For example: you can't have one Praetorite Vong Scout, because he counts as a Praetorite Vong Warrior, but you can have a boat-load of Workers.

I assume its any character that has overlap: Multiple pieces of the same unit, or various units who "Count as" each other.

I take it to mean one character that counts as another. One Worker or ten Workers, they are still only Workers.
(Cross fingers. Hope, hope, hope.)

Can we get some confirmation on this? I guess there are a bunch of significant Vong pieces still to be revealed, so it might be premature to be thinking about squads anyway, but it's quite a big sticking point.

i'm not really sure what you are asking.
If you want Jedi Hatred then you need to have your whole squad as different characters
i.e.
one warrior (so any character that counts as a warrior that is also on the squad would stop specialization) one JH one worker one vong scout
etc

I'm not sure why there's confusion here. Allies gain Jedi Hatred as long as no ally counts as or has the same name as another....

Thanks for clarifying!
It's interesting looking at a list of Yuuzhan Vong uniques for what would work with Zenoc Quah - there really aren't very many unique Yuuzhan Vong followers. I'm thinking you're going to need to use a bunch of uniques given the squad building restrictions he brings, although I'd totally consider pieces like the Quednak as well. Taking out the shapers, you're currently left with: Elan - Bo'tous Spore might be useful, since you don't have many shooter options without Fringe or Outsider - is Nom Anor the only one? Minos, Yuuzhan Vong Warrior - a really good option with evade and +4 attack Vua Rapuung - doesn't benefit from Shaper, but still possibly an option Shedao Shai - a really good option with evade and +4 attack Vergere Onimi, Shamed One
