Despite all the obvious choices most people have on this list, I have to say my favorite is Sidious. Most of the sith listed, with very few exceptions, didn't play everyone for a sap and work both sides of a galaxy-wide conflict that they themselves organized... from both ends of the scale, all to culminate in destroying the Jedi almost entirely. Revan and Caedus are the only other ones that could get close to that level of labyrinthine machiavellian evilness

I really enjoy the Sadow piece, but if were talking who we like outside of the game I'm a fan of Bane

Naga Sadow is my favorite because it doesn't take him long to kill living people, and Illusion and Sith Sorcery are great with MotF 2.

I'm going to have to go with Cadeus in universe, but he's too hard to use in SWM.

ignoring a minis effectiveness in game, Ulic is my favorite Sith character, Tales of the Jedi is maybe the best Star Wars story there is.

I have to go with Revan. As far as I know, he is the only one without the stereotypical "kill, maim, destroy" motivation.

not true, Palpi wanted total galactic peace. Granted, to do so he sought to "kill, maim, destroy" all opposition, but Revan did alot of that himself too.

Palpitine wanted galactic peace? I thought he was more about galactic domination. He did engineer a war to get that domination.

he even said in the Ep. III that once the Jedi are gone there will be peace. It was part of his philosiphy that dark side doesn't = evil, now one can say that wanting to impose tyranny on billions of worlds to achieve peace is in fact evil, but the sith would generally disagree. The strong rule to keep the week in order. Out of order, there is peace. At least so he felt.

Of course the Sith would disagree, they always consider themselves rightous, but that does not mean they are. Also, Palpatine was extremely manipulative, you cannot take everything he says at face value. Revan was unique in that he was conquering the galaxy not to dominate or to destroy the Jedi, but to prepare the Republic for the fight against the True Sith. That is why in his campaigns, he took planets peacefully when he could and avoided the destruction of key industrial facilities. He even limited the use of the Star Forge to protect his order from the corruption it generated, unlike Malak. This is different than the plurality of Sith that seek power and domination over all else. Revan was still evil, but he was a different evil. He is extremely similar to Dooku in that way.

I like using Nihilus in the game. It's just fun to drain force and HP and add it back to my fig. Oh, that hurts you and helps me? So sorry.

that, I will agree with. They both wanted peace, however by different ends/means. Papli sought to benefit more from it too, whereas Revan was more of an idealistic if not arrogant Jedi that tried to do to much and fell because of it.

I don't think Palps ever had the desire to create peace. He didn't gain power to quell disorder, he created disorder and war to gain power. He murdered his master in his sleep. Cadeus and Revan both tried to create lasting peace, but went down the dark side because they thought jedi way was ineffectual.

I have to go with none of the above. After reading the Legacy Comics, I have to give the nod to Darth Wrylock with an honorable mention of Darth Talon.
Wrylock because how he just bided his time until Darth Krayt had a bad day...
Talon because, well, she's got a booty that just won't quit.
