It's a good idea. It really could progress a lot, but it has a long way until bloo milk level.

You could compare a website to a magazine. First there is the cover. And then there is all the stuff on the pages inside the cover. What you have created would seem to be a webpage. Which could be compared to the cover of a magazine. Now, that is a start. Also when creating a magazine, the cover is part of it. It's not enough to create a complete magazine though.
I'm sure if you picked up a comic or something, you'd be pleased if the cover looked nice. However, if there was no pages inside the cover, you'd probably not think it was a great comic, nor would you pick it up again to read.
Given how your webpage currently is more of a magazine cover than a magazine, you should probably not be surprised or feel discouraged if people does not come back to visit the page again.
Now, to create either a magazine or a whole website requires the creation of lots of content. Which takes a lot of work. Especially if you are to do it all yourself. And to expect this from a kid who has just made his first website would not seem very reasonable.
However, you should be aware that when deciding what websites to visit on the internet, people will tend to choose websites where someone has in fact made that very effort and done all of that work. As you'd probably rather pick up a comic which has lots of great stuff inside.
Meaning that if you really would like to create a website which attracts many visitors, you'd have to be prepared to do a lot of work. Also you'd need an idea as to exactly what your website should help your visitors do.
Every single visitor you'll ever have to your website will need a reason to come there. And this reason will be that your website can do something for them. Once you've got an idea what your website is supposed to do for your visitors, you'll be better able to decide exactly what content to provide.

I'm turning 30 this week and I can see you've got more web-design talent than I do.
Ukezwoll has the best post in terms of what you can expect in designing and running a website you want people to visit.
I would add that you might want to consider how you're approaching people to visit your site. Instead of "Come join my new site and leave this one", perhaps try, "I'm making a new site and would appreciate input.". Things work out a bit better that way.
Good luck.

You're welcome. And for the record, I think you're on the right track just by creating stuff. At the very least, this should allow you to get a better handle on the process. And I'd be willing to bet that you're already more knowledgeable than when you started.
