Perhaps you should check out SWMGamers. You might find an answer to that question.

So why is the female version of Revan and the Exile the canon for Wookiepedia? Is there something wrong with either of them being a guy?

Revan is canon as a male and the Exile is canon as female.

Quoted from Wookieepedia: "While Revan's gender is specified by the player, the canonical Revan is confirmed by Leland Chee to be male."

I always appreciate when people post pics or stats on here while I'm at work. There's nothing wrong with that. Let it go. No offense, but a lot of the posts on SWMGamers are really angry.. over a game. Maybe some people don't want to get into all that. Maybe having an account on one minis site is enough for a lot of people. I *did* set up an account there only to check out the pictures yesterday, but there's nothing wrong with people posting the info here. Its not an affront to dnemiller or the site.

Interesting opinion. Angry huh? I wouldn't exactly call SWMGamers an angry place. It's a place for good, meaningful discussion.

As for posting pictures here, that would have been fine if the poster had asked permission. I highly doubt he did. That's downright disrespectful.

So if one were to post information or pictures from one site on to another it is didsrespectful to the individual who posted it?

I disagree. The internet is supposed to be there for the quick dissemination of information. And besides, gamers is a site create by a fan as far as I know and not sponsered by wizards. So posting the pics without permission from wizards on a site besides there own could be seen as disrespectful to the company. Or so it would seem from you line of thought.

While I suppose you are correct that it is disrespectful to SWMGamers to a certain extent, don't you think it is also disrespectful to post pictures of an unreleased set by Wizards of the Coast without their permission? I know two wrongs do not make a right, but lets put everything in perspective. We are all gamers regardless of what site we are on. Some people may not want to register to SWMGamers for their own reasons, ones they do not have to divulge I might add. BlooMilk is simply another avenue to release information we have found out about our game. Limiting that to one site is disrespectful to the players of the game who may not find out the information if it is on only one site. We should work to get the information out in as many areas as possible so as many fans as possible can easily get the information. As far as I see it, we can respect Wizards of the Coast and not post any information, or we can respect the gamers and post all of the information. In my mind, SWMGamers, nor any other individual site factors in to this "respect" aspect of spreading information.

EDIT: looks like Eroschilles beat me to it.

Whatever. It's a courtesy. If you go to Gamers, you will see a Sticky regarding such.

Respect and courtesy is clearly not this forum's forte.

edit: BTW, that poster was released officially by Wizos. It was distributed to various gaming stores. Monni took the time to scan the poster and post it on Gamers. He didn't have to. At least give credit to the original source.

Ouch. Kind of harsh to judge a whole forum community because you believe one person was disrespectful to the original poster of the poster

Harsh or not, I've seen it on these boards all the time. It's an observation.

edit: Obviously not all posters around here are that bad. Cybit did ask me if it was ok to post JA spoilers on this website. I agreed. I appreciated that he asked first before posting.

I wouldn't call it an observation, more of an opinion. Saying some one is disresctful or not is such a relative thing to begin with, it is hard to come up with a uniform definition and then apply it.

Maybe it would have been nice if they had given credit to where the pic came from, but I don't think asking permission was needed. Did the guy who scanned it ask wizards permission?

I think that getting upset about information posted on the internet spreading without tacit approval from the original poster is kind of silly. It's the internet. If it was meant to be kept strictly private, then emails would have been used. And while I agree that these forums can be somewhat disrespectful at time, it certainly hasn't been any worse than some of the rants about GOWK that I've read over at SWMGamers. By that observation, I could (wrongly) conclude that everyone posting on that board engages in personal attacks because of their support or dislike of one figure.

Also, the images were posted on Imageshack.com, which has links that allow you to share the pictures and put them on any sort of website (Facebook, myspace). Not exactly the place to post private pictures.

And thanks for bashing us on the SWMGamers thread.

He didn't need to ask permission. Wizards distributed the posters. It was his to do with as he pleased.

And my observation was the rampant spread of unsourced material.

Monni probably used what image hosting resources were available. I did the same with my JA booster pieces.

As for your comment on bashing, I'm not even going to reply.
