I was introduced to the game right around the time WotC stopped production so I've never been around with the game in full swing, production spotlight and all, nor have I really been playing that long. Regardless, I still find the game fascinating and the V-Sets always add a new element when they come out. I think its what keeps the game relevant. Without the V-Sets, I would have mastered the meta a long time ago but because it keeps changing and evolving I have to keep making new squads. That's what keeps me hooked. I'm a big Star Wars fan in general and recently started playing X-Wing too, but academics always comes first for me. So as much as I love Star Wars and SWM, I have priorities like anyone else. Each time I come back to minis though it always refreshing. I think we're on the right track with the V-Sets but there is always more that can be done. If I ever find some free time, I would enjoy sitting down and writing some scenarios. They're always fun to play.

On another note, I when I was a young player and first got on Bloomilk it was the friendly atmosphere that kept me here and all the constructive feedback provided by the more experienced players. I'm only an occasional poster on the forums but its nice to read the discussions that are going on. So like Mando mentioned, I think if we could somehow make progress through constructive criticism rather than by pointing fingers and having petty disagreements where everyone gets ticked off we would be much better off. I can go get my daily dose of derogatory statements and disagreements from politics. The greatest change I'd like to see is a twist on X-Wing's motto "fly casual" and say "play casual." That would bring in new members and better keep them.

@General_Grievous I haven't been on Vassal in a long time and I was never able to get it to work correctly. I might be able to find some time to see if i can't get it up and running. If i can i would probably consider doing it although i must say i have never played online before and i'm not sure if i could keep up on a regular basis. I'll look into it and let you know. I enjoy the game as much as I ever have. I will play forever. I enjoy the VSETS and customizing which keeps my interest up as it like constantly getting new minis with the new stats. I enjoy using pieces I make instead of a proxy and it seems to keep me going. Also, everyone who can should play a "sealed" with the next VSET with anyone in your general area using the random case tab on Bloomilk. It'll remind you of the fun you had when new WOTC sets launched with the sealed tournaments. It's laid back and a good chance to get going again.

Your story sounds similar to my brother and I. We are already planning to teach the kids when they get old enough. We have all the minis/vsets and maps and will continue the Star Wars/miniatures tradition long down the line
