Surf Rider:
Very nice job on this one, I think rigged detonators may be too much. Probably would have went with the -4 to saves to enemies against this characters abilities with grenades. But this guy feels like an RPG character with a fleshed out story.

Jak:
Absolute beast! This guy is epic powerful but balanced out by Independent. With the changes he is more balanced too. Great job.

Kamikaze13:
Interesting piece, potentially overpowered with a critical hit/twin and I think Steady Aim would be better swapped out for something simpler/less powerful. Unique uber sniper though.

Naarkon:
Really impressed by how you pulled off this mercenary piece. Only thing is technically he isn't a bounty hunter hahaha. But still well done piece.

Lafcadio:
Really interesting piece too, has a lot going on for his cost. But since you can only have one and with 10 damage I think he's balanced.

Caedus:
Sweet job on this one, I think overload makes these guys a little too strong up close but the double missiles is pretty slick and nice mix of abilities.

CorellianComedian:
Pretty powerful piece up close and I'm not sure how I feel about how tough this cat is against both melee and ranged but he's got a pretty cool rush up and bash in melee pieces style of fighting. And quite the pairing with momentum mandalore! All in all great job.

Great round of cool pieces and hard to pick the top three but I'm going to go with:

1st Jak

2nd CC

3rd Surf
Caedus

I feel like a tool because I don't write a lot, but my votes are;

3rd Place Surf

Excellent piece to use with Kelborn. Really like it.

2nd Place Jak

Really like what he has going on. Have to ask Tim if he would be playable in a Reg squad.

1st Place goes to the General

There is too much to list on why this is just an awesome piece!

No tools here Cadeus, sometimes there's just no time BigGrin

If I was going to vote on names alone, I’d vote for GG’s Recovery Agent. Jak’s BH and CC’s Shadow. On a side note, what actually makes a BH? You have the ability and that makes you a BH?

On that note alone, I can’t vote for Naarkon (nice piece) but he doesn’t even have the BH ability, he’s a Merc.

I would ABSOLUTELY love to vote for GG, but he’s actually the most undercosted (by my count) by at least 9; everyone else is costed within 3-4 pts of what should be right which means its absolutely not worth an argument either way; creator's prerogative. I would love to vote on Jak’s BH but with the high price and 15 Defense (even with the 90 HP) he’s just too much of a glass cannon; you’re on the right track, and with more time to find the balance of HP to D ….

So, to heck with it, here’s the vote, based on ability combo’s and costing, and of all things my gut Despite a ? On the naming.

Kamikaze1 - 3 pts – Nice combo of abilities

CC - 2 pts

Caedus – 1 pt.

That was my reasoning too, or else Naarkon would have won first place for me. Sweet piece on its own just not really a bounty hunter in name or ability. Really great pieces this time around though it was hard to pick a favourite

Indeed; truth be told, a lot of pieces, while really nice Mando's (beauty of the faction is they're not cookie cutter soldiers but individuals who happen to believe in the "Manda") but they were more like Mando's who happen to be bounty hunters as opposed to bounty hunters who happened to be Mando's.

Interesting takes, but the names gave away, probably unintentionally, what those individuals were more interested in their characters really being ...

PS - Laf, isn't your "Specialist" pretty much a unique in all but name since you can only have one?? Love the idea, maybe max it at two to differentiate it from a unique?

That's a good point! I didn't think of that. Maybe I'll change it to that once the voting is over. When I designed him, I thought that having a lot of pieces on the board with things like"low profile"/'Tapped Comms" might mess up the game a bit. But limiting it to two would probably be a good way to go with it.
Thanks!

It's an amusingly close race; 8 pieces and 5 guys within a point of each other for the win. Jak and Naarkon have the fate of the contest in there hands Cool

Here are my thoughts on each piece.

Lafcadio
I love how powerful he is, but also balanced by specialist and low damage without support.

CorellianComedian
I personally really like counterattack. This guy isn't going to last long if he's based by a jedi, but at least he'll do some damage, and no twin means it doesn't get out of hand.

Caedus
Powerful but thematic abilities really make this guy feel Mandalorian, and Sith affinity is cool since so many Mandos fought for so many different sides.

General Grievous
This guy would be so great to hit someone with at the top of the round so your scouts can chew them to pieces. Fun and thematic piece with a great name.

Kamikaze
I really like how this guy's abilities work together. He can do a great amount of damage if he gets twin, but the fact that he is crit-based and less mobile really helps to balance him out.

Jak
There's a lot of abilities here, but I think if any character should have a little of everything in his bag of tricks it should be a Mando bounty hunter. Independent is a nice touch.

Surf Rider
Very thematic piece, with some really great abilities. I don't think he's undercosted, but mobile + snare + rigged is a combo I definitely would not want to play against. Loner is nice and makes it a choice between the +4 attack and twin from the captain.

1st
Kamikaze

2nd
General Grievous

3rd
Caedus

Well, the final votes are in; there's a 4-way tie for 2nd with 6 points each, but the clear winner by a landslide with 11 points is General_Grievous . Congrats, GG. ThumbsUp

Next character is your choice.

Congrats General!

And not to detract from GG's victory, but thanks to everyone who voted for mine, I didn't expect to get that high.
