I still might run the risk. ... which is why I managed to avoid it by going with the pre-goth bonkers Maris ....

Okay, I'm going with K'Kruhk: http://www.bloomilk.com/Custom/25603/kkruhk--defender-of-the-jediBumped damage up to 30, and gave him Backlash... he just so needs Backlash... I ALMOST went with adding Avoid Defeat and changing Survival Expert to Survival Expert +2 (which would obviously be a new ability). That way I can get Avoid Defeat in there without him being a royal pain to take down. If anyone would like Avoid Defeat and SE +2 BETTER THAN just regular Survival Expert, please post now or forever hold your peace... or at least tell me after the contest so I can change it later :P

^ AD with Survival Expert +2 probably wouldn't be that bad, if you removed Presumed Dead of course.
I also changed Twin Guard Shotos, on my custom, to a save of 11. Still not completely happy with it, but it will do for now.

1st place: spryguy1981's Nick Rostu - This is just a great piece. Fits right in with Jax, Laranth and I-5. Accurate Blaster Barrage is powerful, but balanced perfectly by internal strife - if you really need to, you can levitate him in and clear out an area, but the more damage he does, the more terrifyingly likely it is he'll switch sides. On the side, he's a great Accurate Shooter right force points for rerolls. On top of all that, he's got that elegant simplicity - nothing unnecessary hanging around. 2nd place: Caedus's Vhinn Thorla, Jedi Master - I love this type of piece: solid beatstick with a good statline, and nice abilities, without being overly powerful. He's tough enough to hang around for a while, and Vaapad Mastery is awesome. (for the record, you have Lightsaber Duelist on there twice ). Kinda reminds me of Kyle Katarn, Combat Instructor... which is definitely a good thing 3rd Place: Lafcadio's Drake Lo'gaan, Jedi Fugitive - This guy is just bursting at the seams with flavor. Great stat boosts, nice suite of force powers, and probably the most epic flavor text I have seen in this contest so far. I imagine he'd make a great interference piece fighting alongside another, maybe slightly beefier Jedi (Vhiin Thorla, perhaps? ) Dumbledore Calrissian's Bail Organa, Conspirator - Welcome to the contest! Very solid first entry! You give some great help to the Alderaan Troopers, without overdoing it. The Camaraderie bugs me a little (Camaraderie gives out abilities, not stat boosts or faction-bending), but he's a nice piece overall. It's also a nice balance between Republic and Rebels - Rebels get a massive initiative control, and evade for all of the troopers, but Republic gives them Opportunist so they're are a constant +13 for 30, plus 40 damage deathshots. (Who would have thought Alderaan Troopers would be in line to be the next NPE?) donnyrides's Fallen Jedi Temple Guard - This guy totally gets honorable mention, he was a serious contender for top 3. He's very defensively stout, and has some nice offensive options. I think he could have costed a little less, lacking Double Attack, but he's still pretty cool. Bonus points for making me think he was non-Unique at first . >Jase<'s Master Yoda of Dagobah - This guy is awesome. Every time you think you've figured out your favorite part, something else jumps out at you. He's a defensive powerhouse, got some nice tech on the side, and I'm not sure why, but Lightsaber Throw 2 really sets the piece off perfectly. Great beat-stick Yoda that still fits the era nicely. Kamikaze13's Maris Brood of Felucia - She's got a nice set of abilities, and some fun synergy with Rancors - particularly the one you made to specifically for her. Twin Guard Shotos is a cool ability, and Assault/Twin is always a nice feature. I feel like she could probably cost less right now, she needs a good commander or two to get her damage up, and she doesn't have a whole lot for defense once she gets into the fray. But a neat take on the character nonetheless. CerousMutor's Kento Marek, Rogue Jedi - Nice set of abilities - Lightsaber Throw 2 with Twin is absolutely brutal. He's got kinda low hp, be he's a spectacular distraction piece against melee. I like Force Spirit 2. I'm not entirely sure what to think of blatantly stealing Merumeru's CE, but if he lead Wookiees I guess there's no point in reinventing the wheel. jak's Maris Brood - So much good stuff going on here. I like how you cover all the bases without overdoing anything. Parry/Cloak is a good combo. Beast Control can be really scary with a Rancor - throw in Talon, Chiss Captain, and Jabba CL, and you've got a Rancor with two movement breakers and potential 120 damage each round. But for all that she offers, Maris is still simple and to the point - you choose what you're going to do with her, and it's easy to see how she works for that strategy. surf_rider56's Old Ben Kenobi - Nice choice! I was actually a huge fan of your Maris Brood - sorry I forgot to comment . I wasn't a huge fan of Old Ben at first, but taking a closer look, he's pretty neat. His damage output is a little low for 52 points, but with Cloak, Parry, and Renewal 2/MotF2, he's got some pretty nice denial going on. Instant Force Push is great as well. Perhaps my favorite part is the Jedi Mind Trick 3 nuke - you'll pay through the nose for it, but if you really need someone to not have a turn, Old Ben is the way to go. Great job as always, guys!

Ok, I may be busy this week end so lets get to it.
Dumbledore Calrissian - Bail Organa, Conspirator
Welcome. As everybody will tell you, I tend to be hard on peoples costing points, so don't take it personal and donny will tell you my rationale; but anyway, lets go.
First, love the idea; Organa, on the fence about loyalty vs rebellion. I conservatively costed him 30-33. Cunning 20 is pretty high powered, as is Tac 8; don't remember him being a military man, more of an inspirational leader. As everyone already stated, Cameraderie should have actually been Rapport for what you wanted to do. But I like the idea of him a lot.
Caedus - Vhinn Thorla, Jedi Master
I've actually read the story so after seeing the Wook article, I remembered him. Costed about right actually (incidentally, why is Lightsaber Duelist listed twice?)
I guess my main gripe about him is every Jedi Master we as a group create (me included) just seems like an uber beatstick; they're only 11 Unique Jedi in the Republic/Old Republic in this game over 50 not named Yoda, Mace, Kenobi, Revan, Hoth, which tells me that they're rare. I just see us all letting power creep into our pieces (and yes my Kenobi is 52) and I guess it bugs me ... the power creep bit ... why I Hate uniques ....
donnyrides - Fallen Jedi Temple Guard
Before I saw the flavor I though Inquisitor. Actually costed about right CC. Nice piece as such, just wondering what niche does he fill, or why pick him over something else? Jedi Hatred gives him a +30 Damage at a decent Attack but he seems very weak against shooters for the price, so without support ... didn't watch SW Rebels much; was he weak against gunfire as the Inquisitor too? I would think use up your Deflect FP's pretty fast in a game these days.
>Jase< - Master Yoda of Dagobah
I costed him about 56, so close enough. Not sure what to make of him. If this is the Yoda who just landed on Dagobah, ok; if this is Yoda when Luke first meets him he's Waaay to Offensive; Luke's Yoda was Old, as in I can still manipulate the Force, but everything just wears me out Old. The flavor points to Old Yoda, the stats a younger Yoda (except Levitate, but that ability has already been hashed out ....)
spryguy1981 - Nick Rostu
Interesting character; only saw him in the one story so nice job resurrecting him. If I was being picky I'd ask why he has +20 Damage when Mara, who should be a stronger character, only has 10.
Lafcadio - Drake Lo'gaan, Jedi Fugitive
Yet again, actually costed about right but I question the recreation of the character in your stats which actually are supported by Wook; more plainly a Padawan shouldn't be "an accomplished duelist' capable of beating either Magna Guards or holding off Vader, yet he did in the story, Wook confirms it so how can I chew on you for rolling with it. But it sure sounds like the original author took some creative liberties with this character so yet again, what can I say ....
Kamikaze13 - Brood of Felucia
Seems awfully overpowered for the scared character she's been portrayed as ....
jak - Maris Brood
Costed her at 42; not as extreme as Kam's; probably closer to what she was post Starkiller.
CorellianComedian - K'Kruhk
I costed him at 67, conservatively. Survival Expert is one of those V-Set abilities that make me say "what were they thinking" and while Presumed Dead is actually an interesting ability, I suspect you costed it way lower than you should have. I guess thematically he looks ok, except he supposedly didn't resurface until long after the Rebellion period so again not sure what to say ....
CerousMutor - Kento Marek
Costed him around 34; nice representation of him actually.
Ok, again long winded and I'll stop preaching. To the point
3rd Place - donnyrides
2nd Place - spryguy13
1st Place - CerousMutor
Peace.

One of these days I will actually get around to posting feedback on each of the characters instead of just voting.
1st Surf - Love this representation of Obi-Wan.
2nd Jak - Another good representation of Maris.
3rd Jase - I always like a good Yoda.

1st - Surfrider - old ben: I like the relationship between him and luke but I think he should give to luke instead of gaining from luke. BUT it would be a ben that I would actually play. Your last few weeks have been right in my range of liking. nice work
2nd - Dumbledore - Bail Organa
3rd - spryguy - Nick Rostu
**SIDE NOTE** A tiny request. I would like to see more feedback during the build phase if possible. I will work to leave more as well.

**SIDE NOTE** A tiny request. I would like to see more feedback during the build phase if possible. I will work to leave more as well. @Donny - I gave Kenobi abilities to demonstrate the bodyguard nature of his "relationship," ex. anxiety if Luke is threatened. Luke never meets Obi-Wan until the movie, so how could Luke benefit, feel "braver?" @All - I suspect with summer coming up everybody's just been busy; with students/teachers finals, vacations, kids; anybody heard how GG's doing? With summer approaching, I at least should have more time ...

Well, since GG had his emergency (and I hope he's recovering nicely) we seem to be off a day. I suppose we could go hardcore and cut it off Monday night at whatever the last member time zone (anybody west of Pacific Time?) and just move on.
