How about Jak?????? To break the tie.......................... well, since I sold ALL my Mandos due to NPE's, second only to flarkin Vong, I'd vote Imperial vs New Republic.
It'd give us a change to experience some First Order & Resistance sub-factions.

New Republic vs Imperial = 3 votes ( Spryguy, Juiceman, and Jak )
Fair enough, New Republic vs Imperial it shall be..............................
I would like to take charge of New Republic. Any takers for the Imperials?
Also, shall we start the new campaign on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, to give everyone a break, and give us a chance to plan the new war and recruit more players?

Please see my edit of my previous post. I would like to lead the charge for the New Republic. I will have a new partner for the next campaign, and he will only commit to evil.
Who will command the Imperials???????????????

I definitely want to play like always, but I'm not sure my cousin is going to be able to play as my partner, so here's an open casting call to whomever would consider being my opponent.

Incoming crazy idea alert......................Let's put some spice in the next campaign, and liven this $#!+ up, shall we? For 2 games every round(4 participants), go to 500pts, max 16 activations per team, extend to 1 1/2 hr time limit, 25pts for gambit- min 25pt mini, and add EPICS!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool would this be?????????????? We can give New Republic access to Mara Jade and The Ganner, and Imperials will get Darth Vader and The Phantom Menace. Each round, we can pair up these 4 epics, for 2 participants on each side, that are playing each other that particular week. Epics will be given the ability to heal from their wounds, each battle, even if they died in the previous one. We can fairly alternate each week, to make sure all participants get a chance to use an Epic. The battles that aren't using an Epic each week, will default to the reg 200pt battle rules that we have in place. What do you guys think? No worries if my idea is not liked. I think it could work, and would be a lot of fun

Looks like I may be able to drag Pegolego out of retirement though we haven't decided which sides we would do.

I LOVE the Epic idea! one of my favorite formats continue with the brain storms, we should. I firmly believe we should add Uggy Demos to the fringe list. given to one side only is a HUGE advantage for that side. not only door control, in battles were DC is very hard to come, but the ability to spam a ton of 3 pt dudes is bad for the game. and/or we could use Killik drones, they have Relay Orders, and Satchel Charge I'd also like to see the us be able to use a larger variety of Fringe droids.

My short time allocating characters, without requests, was a klark filled drag. so.......my proposed rule change is this: All Players MUST request units for each round, they will be given on a first come first served basis. if, they do not, they will build their squad from the Unrestricted list any thoughts?

I agree that we should put ugnaughts and killik drones on the unrestricted list, and allow players to choose 1 each to add to their team each round.

I hear you Jak, but I respectfully think we should keep this aspect the way it is. As me being a supreme commander, I understand the responsibility that I have in signing up for job. I actually really enjoy the challenge of allocating units to the commanders in my faction. Everyone's busy, and I think that imposing a rule such as this will take some of the fun out for peops, and even potentially turn people off from even joining the campaign. Especially the peops that barely have enough time to commit to playing every 2 weeks.

Agreed Maim, people like my cousin and brother, opponents in previous campaigns are not active on Bloomilk and have crazy busy lives so usually can just commit to a game. I think we would lose lots of players if we forced them to request units. I think Jak you were the only one to ever request anything haha. Plus if mandatory requests came out it would be everyone: "give me the power 11 pieces" haha.
I am a huge fan of the epic idea though and think we should incorporate them. Would really add to the spice of the game. Though we would have to clarify its implementation. As is the supreme commanders would have to coordinate. And also it would make it a bit more obvious who has been assigned an epic piece and people could build against it. My possible solutions are:
1. to have whichever supreme commander is assigning maps be allowed to assign the use of their factions Epic pieces to one player, that player must not have been assigned epics yet in the campaign. Only that person and the commander will know, then before the match is played and before squads are built but AFTER allocations are sent, the opponent reveals that he has been assigned epics and that game will be an epic game. At that time the opponent will be able to adjust his squad and have the use of his own faction's epics. Of which he MUST bring one.
2. A simpler process is once all allocations are sent form both commanders. The supreme commander who chose maps reveals which commander/battle has been assigned epics and the enemy commander in that battle that had not been assigned epics, is now able to use his factions epics in addition to what he was assigned. This way it still leaves the element of surprise each time so that there's not an: epic piece versus bounty hunter/assassin/jedi Hunter built to kill epic squads.
OR
Have one battle each round be chosen as the "Critical Mission" which is an epic match using the epic rules and have both players REQUIRED to bring at least one epic.
Lastly allow commanders to assign epic pieces normally and for them to be able to be used in 200 point standard games. (Something we have done up in our area since epics were released and for all games except tournament ones, it's actually worked out fairly well)
I agree that epics shouldn't be able to be permanently killed, but possibly the epic that is defeated cannot be used in the immediate next round (this way The Ganner may actually see some play)
Thoughts?

The apathy of not requesting units astounds me. I was SC for the very first campaign, and this was not the case. epic Ganner is an instant gambit getter, that may cause some imbalance. also I was reminded that I'll be out of the country on the 4-1 start date. won't be back til the 8th. so, I guess I'll have to sit this one out

Happy to jus guage the players. And we could easily delay for you. Especially if you're leading.
