Spry beats Grievous 3-1 on Spynet His squad http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/190558/shadow-bugsMy Squad http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/211269/unyielding-pilotsHe set up left I on right. Yammosk started in Gambit. All I did was levitate and move Anakin into Gambit and move around scrubs just like he did. 10-10 R2 Jaina kills Yammosk and stays in Gambit, rest of my attackers move out, all of his set up for the bombs. 35-10 r3 I win init and Jaina bases and kills 2 Warriors and critically wounding a 3rd while his other warriors almost all take 10 from Self Destruct and Crab Armor saves. Octa bases a pair. Jaina is killed 75-42 r4 he wins I use Octa first to Surprise attack, he then kills Salacious Crumb who came in for reinforcements because I moved him up to stop SD20 but Luke can't hit. I kill 2 more buggers and pull back some. 115-42 r5 I use Luke to take out one and Anakin to take out one (first time I have ever used Anakin as a melee attacker on actual attacks. He gets Anakin 145-65 r6 I get the last 2 bugs and Nom to go over 200 points and he gets Luke and Octa to get 1 point loss.

You put your play report in the wrong thread Spry.
This is the official sign up/ disscussion thread.
Maybe rename this thread to avoid future confusion?

Are you still planning to post the squads? This used to be the sign-up thread, and the "2020 Vassal Regional Play Reports, Pairings, and Standings" thread says discussion belongs in the sign-up thread. Two other play results are posted in the other thread. I think the play result above should probably be moved to the other thread. Then let this go back to being the discussion thread.

I have updated the Vassal mod. (Just the mod itself, not the extension files.) Nothing huge, just re-organizing the maps and pulling all of the current maps on Restricted Map List up to the top of the menu that you work from when you choose your map at the start of each game. Please take a few moments to download the new mod ( https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlCd5BRrzxGCg906c5PWqYY7mcPf_Q?e=hiFWeG). Then replace your current file (SWMinis.vmod) with this new one.

This should be renamed back to the discussion thread. Everyone has posted their play reports in the other thread. I'm going to go do the same just so they're all together.

Yes. Round 4 will be last round of swiss then I will cut to a top 8 and a consolation bracket since it's likely to be even. So that everyone gets a chance at more minis.

We have 17 but 1 hasn't even played a game so they are basically DQ. We will also have 1 clear cut undefeated after this round. Hence why I did the 8 and 8 brackets.

Hence why I did the 8 and 8 brackets. we had 18 and one never showed, so we have 17 active players. per STAR WARS Miniatures SWMGPA Floor Rules, the number of rounds is locked in place before the tournament starts. 4-8 players = 3 rounds 9-16 players = 4 rounds 17-32 players 5 rounds So we should play 5 rounds, regardless if we only have 1 undefeated. Ultimately you are the T.O., so it's your call. I'm just letting you know what the rules officially say.

With DarthRattlehead disqualified as well, that's 16 players.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that. If anyone no-shows for 2 games they should be dropped from the tournament. I could have actually gotten a game instead of a bye.
Again - it is the TO’s call, but technically we should play 5 rounds. It’s the amount of players you start the tournament with, regardless of DQs, no-shows and dropouts.
I still remember the year at GenCon they told us we had to play another round in the champs. We only had 1 undefeated, but we had to play an additional round because that’s what the rules state. We had over 128 players that year. (It was the big $5000 championship - 2007). I got knocked outta the top 8 because of that extra round.
