Czerka would still work. And since he isn't a Double/Twin shooter, Jolt will really have no down side to his attack.

He does have a +10 attack though so....The Dark Woman's Light Tutor plus Gui-Gon JT for a +18 Attack overall. Paired with FlObi...maybe Panaka....decent looking build. Certainly different. Nice to have a good mid-range cost Accurate Shooter that the Republic can do some nice things with. They haven't had much like that to work with.

IMO, this figure just screams rare. I don't think he deserves a VR spot.

True. I love that I can get some of the best figures as rares. But I also think that getting a VR should provide me with a decent payoff. IMO, Jedi Academy did a great job of walking this line. And from the marketing standpoint, I would anticipate decreased sales for an expansion where the rares are almost all better than the very rares--given that people won't have to buy as much product to get what they want (or they'll just buy everything on the secondary market).
I'm not saying that this will be the case with Galaxy at War, for we haven't seen many of the VRs. I just hope it doesn't become a trend with the set.

Pretty sure he is.

Ahh right. I got mixed up on the fact that there are so few shooters that could get it with a Force Rating. Aaron was right. :D

There are quite a few nice Fringe pieces that this combo works with, and then toss in things like the new Ahsoka, who benefits from Qui-Gon's CE as well, and the possibility that the new Anakin may have Light Tutor as well. Lots of fun options.

The only reason why I think they would give him that would be because he trained Ashoka?

hopefully kit will be the one with light tutor seeing as he is a master and all. Ani is a knight not a master so i dont think he should have light tutor.
And to get us back on subject i see Pirate dude getting used in black sun cannon for the imperials as an early round shooter and accurite shooter. Twileks Black Sun vigos and taken. Hmmm that might work (Leaves to work on squad)

Kit does not have Light Tutor. I really doubt anyone has it in this set.

Hondo has the best flavor text on his card that I've ever seen. Quote:"Even a Sith Lord is no match for my warriors. Put up quite a fight! Blasters. Cannons. That glowy thing. Vmm! Vmmm!

Doesn't that mean a mini in the set has it? http://www.wizards.com/starwars/downloads/SWM_GalaxyatWar_Checklist.pdfSo we have to wait for more "pirate" minis in future sets to go with him? Ok, suits me just fine.

Considering it wasn't in the JA insert, no. The Ion Gun change was in a few inserts that didn't have figs with Ion Gun. Surprised the change to Reflect wasn't in the GAW insert.
