It says for the champs we’ll be playing 4 rounds of Swiss. Is that locked in even if we get over 16 players? (Floor rules state we need 5 rounds for 17-32 players)

200 Point Faction Pure.
Does affinity work or does it have to be the same symbol on each card. I.E. Mira of Nar Shaadaa in a Mandalorian Squad, Mas Amedda in an Imperial squad etc.

Affinity works, but Mira does not have Affinity.

I have updated the Vassal mod. It now has all the minis from V-Set 22. Look here for more info: SWM Vassal Mod threadEveryone should download the new Vassal mod before VassalCon, which starts on July 22. It is likely that you'll need to update your Vassal Engine in order to run it. This is no problem, and it is pretty easy: 1. Go to the Vassal Engine website ( http://www.vassalengine.org/index.php) 2. Click the green "Download VASSAL 3.5.8 for Windows (64-bit)" button, to download the new Vassal file. 3. Install that file, as you would for any other file. Follow the prompts. It should be fairly quick and easy. 4. Then you can download and start the SWM Vassal mod as normal. If you have any questions, please let me know.

This has been brought up before, but I think this needs to be formally addressed Before Vassal Con II.
Will there be or what is the Floor Rules concerning Reinforcements/Reserves. I know we have been very forgiving as of late about how reins and reserves work and are allowed.
Can we please have a definitive ruling/statement on how they will work?

Do you have to name reinforcements/reserves on your squad sheet or do you have access to every single Reinforcement/Reserve option available? Is there a limit? I know it has been brought up in the past. Just wanting clarification.

That's certainly not an "actual" rule, and we've never played it like that in NZ (having to decide Reinforcements and Reserves before the tournament). It could be a rule for a specific tournament if the TO wanted it to be so, but that would have to be something stated clearly beforehand, and I don't see anything about it in the original post.

Exactly the same as last year. It is the reason for the variable top cuts

Can we please have a definitive ruling/statement on how they will work? You have access to anything and everything that is legal for your squad

I was asked what I would bring to vassalcon by my bro. I looked and looked and looked. The only thing to bring is mandos. Why wouldn't every one bring them?
No real solution. Obikin possibly. Maybe a talzin squad. But why risk it? Mandos should always get a 1 pt loss. They are better against more things then anything else and always have a great chance of winning.
The only real question is: which mando squad?

The only real question is: which mando squad? Mandos are indeed very fearsome right now, especially with t.i.n.t. behind the wheel. But I don’t think they’re the only choice in town. Guarantee we’ll see multiple Talzin squads. She’s just too freaking good, and only gotten better. Twould be foolish to bring Obikin. Got lucky to win at a small tournament recently but wouldn’t happen again. We’ll probably see at least one Vong (likely 8th Cortex), several rock squads (Republic, OR, Imp), a Rebel or 2 (Ghost Crew?), NR pilots, Thrawn of course, Talon Karrde, Hutt Cartel (with and without night sisters), Sith (Will probably see an Uvak swap squad), and I wouldn’t even doubt seeing a Yodabuk squad.

Interesting, I am building as well and I have seen some great things. Mandos are very powerful but there is power in other place as well. I think it just takes the time to really learn. The mandos are so powerful because peoples have seen thems so much. I have heard from many people that they have faced them multiple times. This game, like Chess, is very much about how well you know your openings and spacing and map.
One of the issues I am having is I want to play so many different things I am not a "pro" in anything. I have seen so many different squads I just don't dunno people have settled on some of the other top tier squads as much. Mandos might be easier to play but that doesn't mean that they are better. Some of the other stuff just needs to be played. If someone is practicing some of these other possible things we will see mandos fall
