Mando (3pts) defeats gandalfthegreatestwizard (1pt) : (176-102)
Gandalf won map roll so we played on Anchorhead. I took right side. Crazy close game! Lots of tense moments and huge risks.
Round 1: positioning. I set up Kanan in gambit and Ezra right behind him with some diplomats sitting right in front of Ezra to prevent enemies from basing Ezra easily.
Round 2: gandalf loses init.....wish that had happened latter when it mattered more. I make gandalf go first, he blows up the left door into the gambit area with the Sith ord. I go with Ezra next and Mobile Attack + Twin with Focused Attack to take out his Sith ecruit who was sitting next to Bandon and Malak admiring their lightsabers. We ll he died and blew up, and dealt 10 auto damage to Malak and Bandon. Ezra mobiles back to safety behind the diplomats. Kanan goes next and shoots the only available target, a poor uggnaught. I choose to let him stay where he is, unaware that Malak has both types of Lightning available to him. Bandon does Grip on Kanan for 20 auto damage, and then he activates his uggie. I move my uggie and R2 to hold open a door to the lower part of the gambit area. Revan moves in and swap Malak to be within 6 squares of Kanan and uses Force Lightning with the CE to deal 30 dmg to him, Ezra and Bail Organa. I counterpush Malak 2 squares away and does 20dmg to him and forces Malak to end his move within 6 squares of Kanan again if he wants to lightning him. Gandalf activates Malak and brings him into range of Kanan and does Force Lightning again. Bail dies, Kanan is down to 50hp, and Ezra is down to 10hp. I counter push Malak to bring him down to 100hp. Ahsoka twin attacks Malak and hits both attacks, bringing him down to 60 hp.
Round 3: gandalf wins init and goes with Malak who double's Ahsoka. He hits one attack bringing her to 90hp, and misses the other even with the last fp used to reroll and unable to reroll the reroll with Sith Pawn because it was a 1. Ahsoka tries to take him out with LSA + twin and only manages to land 40 dmg after Malak made half of the Determined Saves. Malak is at 20hp and I send in Ezra to attack him and use his last force point to move 2 faster with mobile attack. Ezra rolls exactly what he needed on the first attack and Malak fails the Determined save with the -2 from Plasma Bolt making the save harder to succeed. Malak is gone and Ezra is the next one to bit the dust as Bandon comes in and hits him although needing to get into gambit to do so because Ezra had ducked around a wall to make it so he had to come adjacent instead of simply gripping Ezra to dealth. Revan comes in and tries to hit Ahsoka but misses both attacks. Kanan twin attacks Bandon with Lightsaber and does 80 dmg to him. Ahsoka is ay 90hp, Kanan is at 50hp. Revan is at 130hp and Bandon is at 20hp.
Round 4: gandalf wins init with MT and chooses to risk going adjacent to Kanan up top to a spot where i couldn't counterpush 2 him away from hitting the 2nd attack, but takes 40dmg with the aoo. Revan rolls a crit on the first attack and Kanan goes down while doing counter push 2 on Revan to bring him to 70hp. Ahsoka goes next and uses LSA after moving to a spot where she could attack Bandon and if successful at taking him out in the first strike, could then move with rolling cleave and finish the 2nd with the free Rolling Cleave attack on Revan. She misses the first attack on Bandon but thankfully hits on the 2nd, Bandon does riposte to no avail against Ahsoka's high defense and does her next 4 attacks against Revan. I miss a couple attacks but hits on a couple against Revan who misses on the LSD saves. Revan is at 30hp. Sith oridinance takes out my uggie. R2 collects gambit
Round 5: gandalf wins init and does 60 dmg to Ahsoka who misses on her LSD and is at 30hp. Revan swaps with sith ord. Ahsoka LSA + twins Revan and needs 2 attacks to make it though. She hits on 3 of the 4 and Revan fails the final LSD that would have saved his life. Game is over.
This game was really close. Good use of Malaks CE and movement from Revan really made a big difference. I had forgotten Malak had both types of lightning and placing Bail next to Kanan proved to be a costly error and led to my only movement breaker + attack booster being taken out. In the end tho, Kanan's Counterpush saved me and allowed me to get enough use out of Kanan's damage output to win the game and Ahsoka rolled well on her last attacks against Revan to finish him off. The entire game came down to that last round where if Ahoska and her 30hp didn't take out Revan, Revan would have won init and easily taken her out next round. Very close game! Well played by gandalf! we both made placement errors 1 time each and that led to both of us taking advantage of the opportunity. Very intense matchup and a fun game!

noffy (3pts) defeats randy (0pt) 155-68
randy won map roll so we played on dark academy. I took left side.
Round 1: we both positioned our squads. i ran up into gambit and put dooje and tsavong in this 2 square corridor thingy. randy moved his nightsisters into the south hall and his merrin chants. 8-0
Round 2: i win init and make him go first. he does a bit more moving and i make some iterations to my positioning as well. 16-0
Round 3: i win init again and we do some more moving around but this time he runs up with asajj as his last act (with a shawoman within 6) and takes out my domain lah subaltern. tsavong then yun yams and hits on the second to deal 50 to asajj and khalee lah auto hits for 30 on the first and then 40 (with a crit) on the next and asajj dies with an auto failed essence of life save. anyway talzin and the other mothers move up and the consul gets 30 on the mothers and all my characters move about. 57-8
Round 4: Randy wins initiative and he goes first with Merrin and crits on distracting dooje (who forgot he could evade). tsavong brings the shawoman down to 10 and khalee finishes off the mothers. the shawoman spins and heals herself and talzin hits the consul and canons the shawoman to self-heal again putting her at 70. Mezhan hits the shaman back down to 50 and then the consul climbs over to merrin and misses. the shawoman mind tricked us with her magic and we forget she has already gone so she totems on khalee to put him down to 50. 91-25
Round 5: i win init and take out the shaman with khalee lah and retreat. then merrin gives up a massive AoO to the consul for 40 and then she hits twice on harrar putting him down to 30 and talzin hits the consul and canons merrin to kill harrar. merrin takes 20 from the retalitory attack (one hit one miss from the lahs.) tsavong goes and kills merrin and cleaves for 20 onto talzin. mezhan puts another 20 on talzin and then the game ends as i win off gambit. 155-68
Randy's squad was amazing but my auto fail saves and force immunity really took most of the utility out of it. he played very well despite this but my the lah family's devotion to yun-yammka won the day.

Hi-Fives beats Bryan 146(2pts) - 95(1pt) on Throne Room. Round 1: I win map, and Bryan sets up on the right. I battle ready up to the door outside gambit. I give satchel charge to the clan leader with Saun Dann and he moves up Han and hits a Wookie Freedom Fighter for 30. A few missed shots later, and the round ends 8-0 me
Round 2: Bryan wins init, and puts Yoda in the way of shooting Han and force stuns the wounded WFF. The healthy WFF charges 14 squares past Yoda to put 30 damage on Han. Han gives him a few shots to the face, and puts the wookie out of his misery. Luke spends 2FP to run up and take out the wounded WFF. Ralracheen runs up and momentums on Luke for 0 damage and the battlemaster shoots Luke also for 0 damage Ralracheen's CE lets him take a twin attack shot at Luke which, surprise surprise, both also miss. (seriously my dice on these first two rounds were something else) Obi Wan moves up a tad and Crix steps in to disrupt Ralracheen. I then proceeded to make a rather bone headed move and forget to lock the door which would've allowed Ral to get another twin on Luke, but as it was, the clan leader finally lands 30 on him. R2 ends by locking Ral in a room with Luke Han and Yoda. 26-16 Bryan
Round 3: I win init, and I use Ral to Momentum on Luke and manage to hit both hits for a total of 60! Luke is now on 20 HP. Han takes to successful shots on Ral, and Luke joins in, leaving Ral at 10 HP. I blow the door, and then Tarfful takes out Luke and gives a cannon shot to the clan leader to hit Yoda for 30. R2 does some door tricks, and smacks Ral for the final hit. Crix moves up and misses a shot. The battlemaster and Saun put a combined 30 onto R2, and Yoda moves into the middle of the room for some gambit. 75-67 me
Round 4: Bryan wins init and force stuns on Saun Dann, which takes three tries. Tarfful tries to take advantage of his droid hunter, but no damage sticks, but his cannon shot puts 30 on R2. The clan leader finishes off the droid, thus closing the door. Crix opens the door and Han takes out Saun. The battlemaster hits Han, but he fprrs his evade and makes it. 101-87 me
Round 5: Bryan wins init again, and moves Crix to the bottom of the door and puts 30 onto the battlemaster. Tarfful wants to shoot Crix, but thanks to a helpful word from Randy, we remember that he has stealth, so I have to shoot Han. I get some good rolls, and Han doesn't, so he dies. Some minor point scrambling happens, but no change, and the match ends. 146-95 me.
It was a great game and a great time. Some bad dice luck for me at the beginning, but it turned around in the end. There were a few misplays on both ends, but all in all it was a fun game. Thanks for the game Bryan, and good luck with the rest of the tournament!

thereisnotry defeats Lightsaber 190-80 (3-1) on Dark Academy
I lost the map roll but since both of us had the same map, I "won" it and let him set up first. He set up on the left, with the Nexus and Traya and the Holocron near the center.
Round 1: Lightsaber won init thanks to the Triumverate ability. Intuition for some droids. I ran my Battle Droid bravely forward to open a door. Traya moved up to maliciously cut it down. San then pushed Grievous forward, who moved in to smack Traya for 60dmg (down to 70). Huntress and Sion moved forward. BXs moved forward. Maul advanced. Gambit for both. 12-8 for Lightsaber.
Round 2: Lightsaber won init thanks to the Triumverate ability, again. Traya used Drain Life vs Grievous to heal 40 on herself, then she attacked him and one hit was enough to send him back to the start. San immediately pushed him forward again, and he ran into Traya again (dropping her to 80hp) this time for just 30dmg because he missed and I didn't want to fprr. The Nexus used Easy Path to pull her back behind her friends, and Grievous hit both of his AoOs, bringing her to 30hp. The Huntress used Exploding Pistols to put 20dmg on Grievous and 40 on my Sniper (activating it too). Maul used the force to move past Sion (10dmg on aoo after Teras Kasi), so that he could attack the Huntress...just 1 hit got through (60hp). Maul made his Presence save. Sion missed his attacks on Maul. Gambit for both. 41-16 for Lightsaber.
Round 3: Maul was Lying in Wait, and so the Imperial Triumverate didn't function. I won the init. Maul gave up AoOs to Sion and Huntress (down to 110hp) so that he could run up and Ambush Traya. My first roll: 1!!! I used a fprr, but Lightsaber tried to use Force Curse (to cancel my reroll), but upon further examination, that power can only be used to cancel a *save* reroll by an enemy. Whew! Maul hit his attacks, so Traya was gone. Sion used Ambush to kill my Spotter. Grievous (100hp) used Spinning Blade to put 60dmg onto Sion (down to 50hp), who hit his Riposte and Grievous failed his Parry (90hp), and then Grievous did no damage to Huntress. My Sniper droid then crit vs Sion, forcing him to use Eternal Hatred (back to 110hp). Gambit for both. 68-65 for me.
Round 4: Lightsaber won init thanks to the Triumverate ability. Huntress attacked Grievous, who parried successfully. Grievous poured all his attacks into Sion, who rolled a 1 for his Eternal Hatred and dissipated into the mists. Maul then hit Huntress for 40dmg (down to 20hp). Gambit for me. 114-65 for me.
Round 5: Lightsaber won init, and Huntress put 60dmg into Grievous (down to 20). My Sniper died because of a failed Presence save. Maul and Grievous then combined to take out the Huntress. Gambit for me. 190-80
I hate Betrayal! I had to be extra careful about this ability, because I've been burned by it multiple times before. And in this game, it was crucial that I was careful, since Maul tried to betray me! Thankfully, the Sith Holocron's Force Curse ability doesn't make Traya more trouble than she already is. It was a fun game, really close and tense until Traya went down. Then when Sion failed his Eternal Hatred save, that was the end. Thanks for the game, Lightsaber! Best of luck to you in the rest of the event.

Whew! *sigh* I thought I was so clever, figuring that if I put Traya in the middle, there would be 5% chance every attack to steal TINT's massive beatsticks. Turns out that the designers thought of that; I can't find any way in the Sith to prevent FPRR of attack (short of Cognus suppression or similar)
