Incorrect. He isn't talking about the Battle Droid Sergeant.

Mouse Droids are always allowed to attack, it is just extremely pointless 99.9% of the time, as they don't have a damage rating. The +4 Atk from Greivious doesn't change this fact.

Greivious's Force Point gives him access to the 2 "unwritten" Force Powers found in the rulebook: a reroll or add 2 to his movement.

In what situation would that 00.1% Mouse Droid attack be useful ?

Im guessing it would be if you attack with a mousie and combine fire with a spotter character (garindan perhaps) to grant extra damage on the attack, and as it is not a commander effect it would not matter that the recipient is a droid.

I found a situation where the mouse droids attack is useful. If he is within 6 of an enemy with loner and can attack an enemy w/ betrayal he can betray over to the other team and disrupt loner! Also he is an easy kill if you need 3 points.

Characters that cannot do damage cannot benefit or provide combine fire bonuses.

Versus Darth Vader, Dark Jedi when you want the opponent to roll a 1 to be immediately defeated and they have evade. They have to roll the evade save.

Given the "0" attack rating, though, you're probably talking somewhere between 5% and 30% chance of hitting. Then a 5% chance of them rolling the 1... so something like a 1 in 60 to a 1 in 400 chance of the tactic actually working even in the rare case when it might be a useful attempt.

It's been so long scince I used that Vader I had to look him up. Only your characters can be defeated by rolling a 1 on an attack. That might be SithBorg's 00.1% though.

Remember, droids aren't subject to commander effects ;)

The only possible "00.1%" I'm thinking of, would be betraying your mouse droid to an enemy squad; then using the mouse, or those three points, to further your chance at victory...

1.) Your Disciple of Ragnos is one square too far from an enemy Kreia. Moving adjacent to Kreia with your mouse, followed by rolling a "1" would give you a legal target for your Ragnos; effectively dealing the same damage as otherwise intended.

2.) The score is 197-183, your lead. Your only opposing character is a full hit point Emperor Palpatine, Sith Lord. By attacking, and subsequently rolling a "1" with your mouse droid, you give yourself a way for your surviving Wookiee Freedom Fighter to kill/otherwise reach the point-limit where, in any other circumstance, you would lose.

Aaaand, since I'm not doing anything tonight, I'll use visual aids! See below.

Quick edit: To clarify, these aren't the only possible interactions with Mouse Droids/Betrayal, but they're the two clearest archetypes on the market! :)

Just to be clear, the .1% is there just because I couldn't think of a reason you would, but there are a lot of odd situations in this game.

Hell, there is one situation soooo out there, the ruling is that it breaks the space/time barrier, destroying the earth...

The Battle Droid Sergent's Roger, Roger increases the damage stat of all non-unique droids within 6 squares by 10. However, it only works on droids with a damage stat of 10 or greater.

As for the future, don't expect Mose Droids to be doing damage anytime soon. When Roger, Roger was first leaked, it did not have the "must do at least 10 damage already" clause. People preplaying with the new characters and abilities quickly discovered that a mouse droid swarm that could damage broke the game quite handily.
I guess that measn we wont see Droid CE that provide cunning or oppurtinist anytime soon then?

crappy.

well, when in SW films have you ever seen them "cunning" or "opportunistic"? (except the security battle droid, i have no clue how a battle droid could be cunning)

just my Bomb Bomb
