I certainly agree that responsibility falls on the users, but I really want the moderation process to be more accessable to a common user. I do not mean they should actually have a role in the process, but simply be able to see what is going on (excluding private moderator meetings). I would suggest starting with refraining from deleting posts and threads.

Honestly, the moderation process I've seen here the same as the moderation process I've seen anywhere else.

Things like inflammatory posts and threads are going to get pulled without further explanation on just about any forum out there.

And when there are users who set out to make the mods' jobs difficult, they are.

which is exactly what theyre doing!!!

Having seen some of the pulled content in question (before it was pulled), the moderators are doing their job. Those threads were already into the ground six feet deep.

Sheesh, just Lay off of Sithborg already. He is clearly one of the best mods here (IMHO) and sending a lynch mob after him doesn't do any good.

You've repeatedly used an insulting and confrontational tone just in this very thread...

Agreed. It's a sad thing when people take flak for being the only ones to act.

Yes i know its an opinion, thus IMHO, in my humble opinion!

Really though my send a lynch mob after the one guy who is trying to not infringe on people's rights. It is private business. Leave it be.

Sithborg does a great job here and he does not abuse his power he is one of the few mods that tries to see it both ways...and have you read the PM's because you are MDB posting on another name or are you just out to pick a fight that could end with this thread getting locked also and getting yourself suspended

none of those are insults...
confrontational maybee, but if your friend was bannedby a mod and given no reason as to why you would be looking for answers too right?

The tone of them is insulting, thus, they are insults.

Going on the forum and harassing a mod until you get yourself banned is not going to help your friend or his case. In fact, quite the opposite. It makes the moderator even more certain that they did the right thing.

I can't tell you the number of times I've seen a moderator issue a relatively meaningless warning, and because the user's response escalates it to a full ban.
