It's being worked on as we speak.

Vong aren't that bad. And neither are Mandos, especially with the new jedi hunter. With Vong, I would just recommend Rodian Black Sun Vigo to help keep the Shaper and other boosters alive.

This news makes me cry on the inside, big time. Without Wizards supporting the game, there will be no more DCI tournaments ("for fun" tournaments will still be viable though). At least, I know many LGS won't be holding any DCI tournaments anymore. Hopefully the end of the creation of new SWM will not stop the amount of people that play it. I personally see the end of the game as a chance for me to work on collecting more stuff from the other sets without worrying about new stuff that comes out. The custom stuff, eh, it could work. I don't think I'd go into it, but I still want to see the game live on in some way, shape, or form. A committee that will keep the game going sounds like a great idea.

Why do you think that DCI events would stop? Patience my young Jedi. The answers will become clear.

Unlikely really, I can't see them dedicating more then a couple of slots each of them. The beasts means that a considerable amount of the slots will be taken, and they have to fit those reprints somewhere. XD Just a pity the new designer came in when the line was starting to stop though, I look forwards to seeing the last set. ^^

Couple that with an inexpensive Admiral Saul Karath mini with a powerful CE and affinity for both OR and Sith, and suddenly we're in business! Well, a guy can dream, can't he?

I'm so glad you guys are making downloadable sets! I usually make customs(printed out on thicker paper) and then use a look-a-like piece to go with, so this is fine with me. There is still gonna be Minis at GenCon right? If you need any help with the stats I'd be more then glad to help.

The RBSV is certainly a piece that has a useful CE. I don't see why he couldn't be recosted.

Hehehe, thats true enough. ^^ Though there are 9 point figures also with her ability. Just, generally I am not one to expect much from these sets. I'm just expecting it to be the new designers final spin on many of the classics. Though I guess at least I could be pleasently surprised. I've run a mando faction for just under a year along side my Republic, I just tend to altertate between the two because the former never really changes, and the latter is always changing.

Finally, things can be done right. I've got a list of favorite EU characters I'd love to see, Celeste Morn, Admiral Peleaon, Darth Zannah, Ben Skywalker, Captain Shevu, Gryph, Rohlan, just to name a few. Now that Wizards has their hutt slimed hands out of it, hopefully new sets would have Vaders, Lukes, Obi-Wans, Greivouses, Hans, and the other half-million repeats that are out there.

I hate to dash anyones hopes, but remember, the bulk of players are NOT modders. While the plans have not been finalized, I wouldn't get too much hope up for new, new characters.

Yeah, I'd echo this sentiment. I'd expect recosting/restatting of existing minis we have. There's so much that can be done for older pieces. Plus we have a number of non-Uniques that were based off of Unique characters. So there is potential there. I honestly wouldn't expect a whole new miniature. There is plenty to work with at present.

I would certainly rather see the old stuff brought up to current standards before a lot of new (conversions) things are created, though I am up for that too. No doubt we all have our list of pieces we'd love to play if they could be made viable again. Heck, the old Speeder bikes just need an entry removed from the FAQ and they are pretty much good to go
