Did anyone see the metal SW miniatures at GenCon? Friends of mine talked to a guy that weekend who had some to show off. Maybe that's what people are thinking about. I wonder if those minis are the ones associated with the Russian gentleman? I still think the NECA / WizKids thing makes sense, considering how good NECA is at managing licensed products. If you've never seen their stable of properties, check out this list (not including Pirates CSG, HeroClix or ST Clix from WKG): http://necaonline.com/licenses/listIf you've ever heard stories of how difficult it is to get things approved through Lucas Licensing, you'll know that not just any company can step into this space and be successful. With NECA likely employing folks who've worked Lucas on PocketModels and Topps Non-Sport stuff, I'm bettin' that they'll be able to create a good relationship here.
