This is what I don't get. What is it about players of this game that they think this is ok to do? Do you go to Magic Tournaments and play with your computer generated Black Lotus?

At a tournment that allowed proxies yes you would be expected to unless you owned the card....

I would most certainly not allow you to play with something like this, unless you had enough cards for each mini. It's a big advantage in some games, and as a judge or opposing player, I wouldn't allow it.

20. I don't need 20, I need about 15...but when my son plays, he uses my collection. At home or at the store, we allow proxies, but when tournament time comes, I want both of us to use as many as we need. I'm just glad that for the regional coming up I decided against the squad that had Boba BH in it...he uses him, and I was thinking I might have to buy another one lol.

I technically have 0, and two. I spent 10$ on one of these boxs a while ago and got another mouse from my friend. Glue them on a stand and wallah! Beats 10$ each for them! Their way out of scale but who cares! Lolz. And I only use them for the CE spreading so 2 is a great number!

Yoto_Yoto said nothing at all about tournaments. Your rant seems misplaced.

I have 4 mouse droids. I would like up to 4 more, but not at current prices. I typically provide both armies when I'm playing and while 2 per side is workable, 4 each would be nice. I don't think I'd care to run mass activations, even if mice were cheap.

Eight. I pulled, I think, three out of boosters along the way, and the other five came from scouring ebay (it's rare, but I've found a deal to pounce on here and there).

I believe I have 7. But another player here in Atlanta has somewhere in the 20-30 range, so he's my go-to guy for borrowing Mouse Droids.

In local tournaments we allow all sorts of proxies, but all have a good understanding that if you're planning on playing in something big (Regionals, GenCon, etc.) you'll be expected to have the actual mini/card.

This is what I don't get. What is it about players of this game that they think this is ok to do? Do you go to Magic Tournaments and play with your computer generated Black Lotus? Would you go a Yugio tournament and expect to be allowed to play with your homemade copies of the latest green eyed dragon cards? Seriously people, if you want to play with 20, you have to buy 20. There is no other alternative. You can't do this garbage in any other game, so why on earth do people think it should be allowed in SWMs?

Just because we've decided to continue to add to our great game, does not mean anything goes. At home, sure, do what you want, I'm not talking about that. But seriously, this is a Collectible game. Some pieces cost more than others. Do you also show up to tournaments with your homemade Boba BH card (downloaded from online picture) and your custom Boba because you didn't want to pay for one? Why should you think it's ok to do with mice?

Dude, when did Yoto_Yoto say anything about a tournament? The game is mostly played for kicks at the kitchen table or LGS. For every 100 games of SWM played, how many do you figure are at a tournament? Three? Less? I myself have played countless games, never at a tournament.

As far as mice go, I have 10. I believe I pulled four. The rest were probably just from trades. I may have bought one or two on eBay if the deal was good.

Just one and I do not care to discuss how many IE boosters it took.

I have 6 and really don't want to invest any more money into the blasted things. I've never had need of more than that when playing at home, even when my brother and I use my collection. If I were to find an oppurtunity to attend a tournament (which seems unlikely, since I haven't heard of one being held down here in Australia for years), I'd be certain to play a squad which didn't need many, even if that meant playing something less than optimal.

I used to have a lot of them! But as i found out they make perfect skates for my Star Wars Rollerblades customs, that number has decreased dramatically over time.

I have 5. Pulled one and bought the others in pairs on ebay for about £5 a pop. I am looking to get more. I rarely will buy a single figure on his own as buying a bunch at once usually means cheaper shipping. Thus I will find the rare/VR I want and buy a bunch of other C/UC to bulk out my order. When buying Mice, I treat them as my R/VR.

It's like pub rules pool. Players of that will understand the meaning.Tongue
I stirred a hornest nest by insulting the collectable side of the game. Sorry wasnt meant Blushing
In all seriousness, if some one sat down with proxies and printed cards infront of me I dont think I could bring myself to stop their enjoyment of the game because they had'nt/did'nt/could'nt spend as much as I have. Could you?
I know people lend and or give minis away for this reason, thats what is great about players of this game! I'm guilty of giving people a better squad than mine then trying to beat them BigGrin But in no way would I judge or condem someone for coming to a table with less than perfect.

I have 2 'official' and customs in the works.

I got 2 with my case. I traded Arica for 1 at the IE release tournament. I was fortunate to catch Miniature Market just as they put up their stock. They had 30 available for $1.50 each, I was nice and left 15 for the next guy.

I've given a few away but I think I still have more than 10.

I got 15. Not really sure where I got em; I know it wasn't off-the-shelf boosters though. I like that one drop with Kazdan and even Wat nowadays. When I build droid only squads for fun (I actually won once), it's good to have a lot of them as well.

I've got 6 of them and won't buy any more. It was a bit of a disappointment when it became apparent this was not enough to play a competitive out-activation squad in the 200 points, Gha Nachkt era. Especially given the lack of other options afforded by my collection. Then again, the disappointment was tempered by the realization that competitive 200 points games were not really played over here anyway.
