I have added updated photos of my custom Bull Rancor to the top of this post. I still have a lot of work to do but things are turning out okay. I'm really happy with how the head turned out.

Haha, who doesn't like the Gamorreans? They were the first customs I made. Thanks for the props Dimetrodon.

I remember seeing pictures of this under construction. The finished model looks great! How many squares would it take on a map (or is it just for display)?

The base is 5" x 6". I was going to add squares for movement but decided to make it for display as well.

I used the Hirstarts molds for about 90% of this tables creation. Here is a link to my thread on the Hirstarts boards.

There several pictures of it in process. Thank you.

Love the 3D stuff. Hirst is good stuff if you can afford the initial investment; my wife would kill me if I did it, but I've tried to do my own stuff little by little.

Yeah its definitely an investment. I've started making my own molds as well. I originally bought a bunch of Dwarven Forge but I enjoy creating my own stuff more.

Nice custom tables! Attention to detail, and casting quality are second to none.
The paint work seems gradual and nicely layered too, top notch all round BigGrin
looking forward to the next customs you make, maybe some vehicles?

I actually have made some custom vehicles. The AAT, Clone Drop/Gunship, and a Clone/Mando Tank, here are some pics.

Excellant work and effort on the vehicles. On the clone tanks/troops pic, is that homemade 3D scenery or just a pic as a backdrop? If its asome 3D scenary, I'd love to see a better lit pic of that, although being bad with camera's myself, who am I to compalin BigGrin

Thanks! The background in the pictures is 3D scenery which I have made. Some of it is from scratch, other pieces are a combination of Warhammer bits with foam board and other odds and ends. However, I actually sold all of it to my local gaming store this past summer. Those pieces were really large and because I might be moving to Portland for work, I was worried they wouldn't handle moving to another state very well. I decided this past summer when I sold my house to change my 3-D terrain to a more modular design so I can store it easier. I'm actually jonesing right now since everything has been packed up in a storage shed for the past 5-6 months. I'm definitely ready to start working on some new pieces. I think I still have some pictures on my back-up drive, if happen to find any I will post them.

@Azrikel,
Wow, I knew you made the gunship, but I hadnt seen the tanks before. Nicely made BigGrin

May I offer some constructive criticism of the gunships?
They seem a little short (in the scale pic), and the rocket launchers seem out of scale with the rest of the vehicle (perhaps not long enough).
The nose came out brilliantly though on all of the gunships; and the cockpit/nose sections are highly detailed.
The wing ball turrets seem a little small too, and there arent any doors for the cargo bay (only detail I found missing from the build).

I think you could recycle the nose sculpt for a LAAT/c easily...

On the subject of the terrain: wow.
The tanks, where do I start? The THX's are spot on: the lines look spot on and the heavier turret fits the star wars design aesthetic.
On the droid tanks, the turret seems a little disproportionate: perhaps the clankers came up with an ad hoc heavy version of the AAT to counter republic fire support?

I'd like to see you tackle the AT-TE, or the LAAT/c someday. Your take on these iconic vehicles would be great to see BigGrin
keep up the great work,
Kobayashimaru

Thanks for the feedback. I'm always happy to receive constructive criticism. I agree on the AAT with all your points. I actually have made doors for it, I just haven't finished taking the time to figure out how to attach them. I definitely would do a few things differently if I were to try and tackle this one again.

As far as the droid tank, the turret is definitely heavier, I just personally preferred the look of these which is why I opted for the heavier barrel.

As far as the AT-TE it is definitely on goal list for customs. Just not sure when I will be able to squeeze it into my schedule.
