Unique
Omega Squad...counts as having Order 66 for purposes of CEs but cannot be on an Imp squad
Double
Grenades 10
Rapport ...Omega Squad
Stealth

CE... Allied characters have the same name as each other for purposes of Squad abilities.
Characters on this squad whose name contains ARC Trooper or Republic Commando gain Squad Firepower

Interesting wording for the CE...how can all characters count as having the same name, but only ARCs and RCs gain the ability... clarification?

All characters count as the same name, so if you have Ugnaughts adjacent to an ARC Trooper, the ARC Trooper now qualifies to use Squad Firepower.

Ahh.... I see. So they get the ability, and while Uggies or other characters do not, they can grant the bonus. I don't think i've ever actually used Gree...
Thanks guys

it is the same as Grees commander effect at the begining. it allows for the squad abillities to be used alot more.

Gree has a hideously low defence which always scares me away from risking using him.

How come you guys created a wookie Jedi piece instead of a Tyvokka piece? There is only 3 named and 1 unnamed wookie Jedi in existence. And the unnamed one only appears in the NJO era along with Lowbacca, and Tyvokka and Kirlocca are pre-naboo era.

Is it explicitly stated somewhere that they're the only ones? I know Lucas said you can't create any others, but does that mean there aren't any other (unnamed) Wookiee Jedi out there? I initially had an objection to the piece, and even suggested that it be a Whiphid Jedi or some other non-Wookiee but physically strong species. But with cost of 30+, it seems reasonable. You couldn't reasonably fit more than 4 in a squad. Wookieepedia says that force-sensitive wookiees are born every hundred years or so and they live about 500-600 years, so it's feasible to have 4 or 5 Wookiee Jedi living at the same time.

Too bad the recommended mini for Winter is not the Echani Handmaiden. She's pretty much dressed like winter already, and much easier and cheaper to customize than a unique VR figure. What do others think? Is this final, or is there any chance it could change? I know this is just recommended, so I'll probably use this figure anyway. But, I wanted to bring it up for discussion.

Final, yes, the Echani is being used for Brianna - since it is modeled after her like Bandon and the Sith App.

You mentioned "easier to custom" - well if it's a custom then there is no restriction at all. Snowbunny Padme is a better match for Winter, and the Echani is a better match for Brianna. All you have to do is add a lightsaber to an Echani and you have a perfect Brianna (there's a spoiler hint for you). Here's my custom of it.

Now, as for Winter, Snowbunny is as perfect as they come for a drop in mini, and you cannot play the two in the same faction. So that's why it was chosen. However, for making a custom Winter, I will be using one of the Leia's - I forget which one, but I think it was Cloud City. You don't have to do much, simple white hair and maybe a gun change, etc.

Please don't spend time discussing RM's its a waste of time. The list we gave is final. Complain if you want to, that's fine, I'm sure not everyone will agree with every choice we make, but try to think through your objection from our own stated rules for picking RMs before you tell us there was a better choice.

Remember, the guidelines (not rules per say since some instances we have to ignore one or more):
1. Not confusing.
2. Look like the mini as much as possible.
3. Out of faction unless an NU model of the Unique was already made by WotC
4. Using a different mini for each figure (obviously this is impossible to do in total - see Boma which already is in use for two figures and this will happen more as we move on).
5. Using old unused minis.

You will notice, rarity is not a primary concern. We do consider it as a secondary factor, but this is a RM, so it's not central.

You can disagree with those goals, but don't argue with us about it. That's how we pick em.

When you factor in that the Echani is Brianna, that's an easy choice, which means the Echani will not be used again in the same set. So for Winter you have the choice of Leia's and Padmes. Well, technically Leia's are played in the NR, and any Rebel Leia can be as well, so we have a great padme in a snow suit which happens to match one of the outfits Winter wore and there you have it.

If you want a fairly easy custom using no rares, try a an Iktotcki Tech Specialist, repainted white, with the head of the Jedi Guardian. I suggested this one for Winter many years ago, I think for The Lost Twenty, and I've seen a number of people do it. I'm sure there are other equally simple options these days, since there are a lot more minis that there used to be.

As long as it's clearly indicated, I believe a custom like this would be allowable in competition, no?

If you look at the stuff for TLT then it tells where to cut and repaint. That's what I loved about TLT, it went into great detail on how to mod your pieces. I always wanted to get someone to do that for the V-Sets...

Yep, the designers didn't want it to be just a direct copy of the Rebel R2PO. It was in the design plan at one point (as were several other things, this was one of the most changed pieces) but they kept working on it until they got something that was new and unique.

I think that's to represent all the babysitting they did.

If you look at what the pair actually did in the NR era, it was about 90% babysitting the twins while mommy and daddy went off on an adventure. On occasion, R2 would go off with someone, but C3PO was almost always left at home. With that in mind, I had written some alternate flavor text that didn't make the cut, but here it is for your enjoyment anyway.

Flavor Text:

"Beep beep whirl swoosh..." "Yes Artoo. Babysitting the twins again. Tis our lot in life...Sigh."
