Farmboy Luke is far better than the last one with that grappling hook thingy.

Saying that, I'm a sucker for fun stuff and I like farmboy Luke and Ben Kenobi. In fact, as far as these new 'small set things' cantina brawl is the best. I like Vizsla, will be a fun addition to toy around with.
And of course all positives would be no good without some hate. I'm looking at you nightsister mother. Why do you like luke? It's my leat favorite piece... Just because I can't figure out how you're supposed to use him Completely for the fun aspect. Run Biggs and some more rebel pilots with Leia. For as much as I love the competitve aspect...the fun/theme squads keep me playing this game. Indeed. Fun squads are about 60% of what I play. Some fun squads can turn out to be very competitve though.

Fi is the sniper, is he not? And, Atin is supposed to be the tech specialist, right? Am I just crazy (does happen sometimes), or are their stats backwards?

Farmboy Luke is far better than the last one with that grappling hook thingy. I dunno, for 2 more points you get +2 defense, +2 attack, +10 damage on The base stats. New luke has accurate, but quite frankly, rebels are not really known for their ability to boost attacks. He isn't going to do much... and i think the other lukes movement breaker far outweights this new lukes ability to maybe make an attack at +10 for 20 when one of your uniques dies. I guess if you run him in a pilot squad the idea is you have a bunch of cheap uniques so he can make free attacks all the time?

I know cornor had affinity when I play tested him, not sure why it didnt make on the final card. But I have read both Crimson Empires and never knew he had any affiliation with her.

This was all covered in article The Emperor's Pawns from Star Wars Gamers issue 5. U think it is that easy to learn to force grip flying balls ?

I noticed that the RM's on small bases do not state "Small Base". The large and huge state their size. Is it a moot point with small? An oversight? Is this covered somewhere else, and I missed it? Thanks.

I will ask about Onimi. That's the only potential oversight I see. (Evan Piell is a medium base)

The Onimi is a small base due to Polis Massa Medic.

The Minimanager even has him (Piell that is) as a small base. I never really noticed, but of course he doesn't get out much. ;)

I have just wasted the past few hours reading through all the minis. I should have been studying. I am impressed with this set, especially as it is all "fanboy garbage" I think I am gonna be working a lot with Vong soon. I like where they are going. I haven't really played much in the past few months, but this has really taken steps to pull me back into playing more regularly.

Zannah with Crab Armor 6, getting healed for 20, and then gaining 4 force pts and pseudo-MotF 3 when Vergere dies, ON TOP of what she already has on her own. No CEs involved. That will be one tough nut to crack. Break out the unstoppable damage pieces. Good thing that combo costs 131-138 pts for 3 characters.

Did I miss something? Where is Marka Ragnos, Dark Force Spirit? Is it the same as Exar? Just wondering.

I agree...it would at least cost 131 pts for that zan/verg combo... but in one hour...do you think you could get a full win? I'm guessing we'll see direct damage making a comeback...sorta like the '08 regionals when gowk was around. Funny how a yuuzhan vong ability is now better on a jeedai...somehow that seems a bit blasphemous.

I'm guessing those Force Suppression characters will see some use as well.

Yep, you're spending 131-138 points for basically all defense and very little offense, meaning it will be very tough to get even a 2 point win. Then if you have to play against direct damage, or Crack Shot, or Vong, or Ysalimiri, or Force Suppression, or one of those squads that just gets a massive amount of shots (IG-86 swarm comes to mind) you'd be hard pressed to win at all. I think a squad like that will become a gatekeeper in that you have to consider what you'll do if you face it, but it has so many counters that it won't be that good. As for Marka Ragnos DFS, you didn't miss anything.
