Actually Andy, you do. I am running a Royal Rumble event at my store Saturday... winning team members each get copies of the new Luke and Sideous. You are less than 2 hours away, dude.

There isn't an official download yet, but they are the Darth Sidious and Luke Skywalker cards found in the SHNN Live from Gencon thread on the first page.

I want to make sure everyone understood my last post about extra promo cards (I've gotten some interesting PM's).
I have 10 different promo cards and the BHC cards. 4 promo's from this Gencon 2012 4 promo's from the 2012 regional season 2 promo's (Mace and Wookie Jedi) from about a year ago both BHC cards I also have V sets 2, 3, 4 and both Epic sets
If you would like any of these for your local event: 1) Shoot me a PM with your: expected attendance, what events you will be running and how many of what promo you would like. Also include your full shipping name and address 2) Would you like any V sets (2, 3, 4, Epic 1 and Epic 2)? 3) A donation to the V set account to cover shipping would be nice (totally up to you)
Thanks, Eric Shipping King

The new maps are on page 2 of that thread - the set of 4 death-star looking maps.

From what I can tell, the first question in this thread was not answered in this thread - when are the BHC pieces legal? Are they legal now or not until they are released with Vset5?

Must have been in another BM thread, though I'm not sure as to which one...

It's not like I didn't try, but I may not have the best Google-fu:
Google: "bounty hunter challenge" legal site:bloomilk.com
I found the response in the other thread, but I didn't understand. Is it correct to say they are not legal, but they may nonetheless be allowed in a sanctioned tournament if the TO decides to allow it?

It is up to the TO. According to the strict floor rules, a "promo" isn't legal until the set it is in has been released. However, I believe the intention was to have them be legal as soon as Gencon was over.
However, it is really up to the TO as the TO can determine what kind of tourney is being run. For instance, I could run an old school Rebel Storm tourney, or I could run a V-set only tourney, or I could run a DOTF, MOTF, and ROTS only tourney if I wanted.
So to answer the question, ask your TO.

So to answer the question, ask your TO. That doesn't really help. I'm effectively the TO as we're putting the rules together for the campaign, but I don't want to make a decision either way on the piece - I just want to go with the rules as they are. From what I gather, they are not legal, but a TO may choose to make an exception and allow them. If that's the case, I'll just leave them out.

It really depends on how you consider them. If you think of them as a 2 card set that came out at gencon and will be reprinted in a future set so that everyone has a chance to get a professionally printed copy, then they are legal. If you view them as a "promo" then according to the floor rules they are not legal until the set they come out in is released.
Personally I view them as the former and when I run the Capital City Champs in January (before set 5 comes out), they will be legal as I view them as legal currently.

It's just one of those wierd things that wasn't cleared up in the last set of floor rules. The last floor rules set up non-regional/Gencon sanctioning so that the TO has total control over what's legal as far as squad construction, which would include using rules or figures not allowed at Regionals or Gencon. If a regional were to occur today, the BHC pieces would not be legal until January. It's really just semantics to be honest... Honestly, I'll probably still leave that line in the floor rules, but it should be irrelevant.

That's how it was promoted at GenCon. Regional legality is irrelevant because the set will debut before any regionals will be held.

From what I gather it seems that it is up to the person hosting the event as to if they are legal or not. But if you want to play them you must have the card. That is until something more official is stated in the floor rules
