Here is my entry for the week. Dexter Jestter

This is a "time span" piece that attempts to capture the highlights of several periods of his life.

Dexter Jettster

Defense: 17
Attack: 8
Damage: 10
Rarity: Rare
Base: Large
Special Abilities
Unique
Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
Quadruple Attack (On his turn, this character can make 3 extra attacks instead of moving)
Blaster Supplies (Replaces turn: choose 1 adjacent ally to gain Twin Blaster 10 for the rest of the skirmish)
Heal 10 (Replaces attacks: touch; remove 10 damage from a living character)
Informant (At the start of the skirmish, chose 1 Unique ally and 1 Unique enemy. For the rest of the skirmish the chosen ally gains Recon and against the chosen enemy he also gains +4 Attack and +4 to saves.)
Munitions Supplies (Replaces turn: choose 1 adjacent ally to gain Grenades 10 for the rest of the skirmish)

Here's my take on sir Dexter Jettster

Hit Points: 90
Defense: 16
Attack: 6
Damage: 20
Special Abilities
Unique, Twin Attack
Double Claw Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving; both attacks must be against adjacent enemies)
Gregarious (+4 Attack if an ally is within 6 squares)
Target Information (After setup, choose 1 ally with a Force Rating and 1 of the following: a specific faction, Unique enemies, Droid enemies, or enemies with a Force rating. The chosen character gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against the chosen type of targets for the rest of the skirmish.)
Camaraderie (Allies that count at Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Quinlan Vos gain Surprise Move and start the skirmish with +1 Force.)

I went with 20 Damage, because besalisks are pretty big and strong and he was a fighter in his day. Also 20 range attack with twin because he was a gun-runner and probably knew how to use one, in at least 2 of his 4 hands. Target informant is just another way to give one ally Hunter, which I thought would be fun. And the gregarious and camaraderie is obvious.

Lord_ball's Dexter Jettster, Proprietor not bad Diplomat can work for this character (after all when was Akbar a Diplomat? And I don't here any complaints about that) Though if I were you I would have made a custom SA similar to Diplomat for him. Rapport is good. In my opinion he is overcosted Speed 4 will slow your squad down and he isn't going to be doing to much damage himself 8
Pegolego's Dexter Jettster, Weapons Shop Owner Arms Dealer is a good way to represent his early days however I 'm not a fan of the allies having to be adjacent any time they wish to benefit. Enemy Tactics Informant represents him give information about his opponents. Basically an upgraded Czerka Scientist that can shoot and take a shot. for that purpose I give you a 8
AndyHatton's Dexter Jettster, Informant the Smuggling Ring SA is very intriguing I like the help for the smugglers. I see Saber1's point about balancing when it comes to Running Guns but I don't think thats a huge problem. The Informant SA's are all interesting and all in a totally different direction then what I would have ever considered. 9
CorranHornsux123's Dexter Jettster, Bar Owner 4 attacks to represent four arms, check. Some Synergy for his three Jedi friends, check (literally) something to represent his Diner, (heal) check. The rest could use some work LolRazz I like how you tried to use Erased but I think I could have gone in a better direction. (I.E usable once per Skirmish this character may not be targeted until his next turn) Knowledge and Wisdom may give a huge boost to GOWK but then all you have to do is shot down the big 37 point target next to him! I do think Saber Dart Tech is to specific. He would have been 10 if Saber Dart Tech and Erased weren't there and if he costed about 10 less. all in all 9
Corranhorn's Dexter Jettster, The Duke of Diners hmm this guy can lay down some hurt is GenSky gives him momentum I do think he is undercosted and I don't think Dex would have GMA to begin with... Informant is good thoughSmile 7
CerousMutor's Dexter Jettster Gun Runner is awesome on him! Great Tarples like bonus. Melee, Quad and CQC represents his Pro Boxing career. Data Spike is a great way to hide people but may be to powerful (his cost helps with that) Information Broker seems weird to me...Bored I think Even with DA he could have costed 6 less. 8
FlyingArrow's Dexter Jettster, Gunrunner Crucial Information is interesting I like that it is once per Skirmish. Explosive Supplies is good. Gunrunner and Illegal Weapons Shop is were you lose me (especially with Speed 4!)I just don't see it as a good enough benefit. Tho I do see it getting some use with Panaka's swap. 8
Bubba Fett's Dexter Jettster, Weapons Smuggler Munitions Supplies is good (along the same lines as my version) Like the "double Spatula attack" Lift is actually a very fitting SA for DexThumpUp Skilled Observer is a good benefit but I 'm not sure about the name. 9

Robobob's Dexter Jettster, Republic Informant I like how he can get his 4 attacks against adjacent enemies, Gregarious is perfect for Dex. Target Information seems familiar were have I seen that before?Huh I like it though and think it is a great SA for Dex. I don't think Anakin should benefit from his Camaraderie Ferus would have been a better choice. And why should they get +1 force? Still a 10

I don't think he was quite big enough for Large Base. Stealth at first did't look like it should be on him then I remembered he was a part of thew Erased (to late at night for this lol) Jedi Sympathizer is a good bonus for the Rep's Jedi (especially in a Jorus or Dralling squad) I wasn't sure that he should have recon either then I remembered that he did give info on specific enemies (note previous comment about being tired) better then what I thought at first 9

P.S don't worry SignerJ you will win someday, just wait until we get to Caedus then you'll win for sureThumbsUp

Thick Arms prevents him from getting extra damage from Momentum...or at least it's intended to, maybe the wording needs work.

No I think the wording is fine I meant that momentum would boost his attack enough that he could hit with those 4 attacks. I did realize that he won't be doing 30 per hit

He only has 10 base damage, he wouldn't be doing 30 per hit anyway.

Thanks, SingerJ. A couple people have commented on the +1 Force, and I'll admit I did some copying and pasting and forgot to edit that out. We'll just say the Diner's relaxing atmosphere and refreshing foods and beverages provide a morale boost to his favorite customers. Laugh

Great custom! At first I worried that with Diplomat, giving allies +4/+10 may very powerful, but it IS just to one enemy, so balance seems really good actually.

Seems to have limited uses, despite all his options. In an all-fringe Talon Karde squad he could be useful though.

Republic is an interesting choice on this custom. He can fight QUITE well, and has a lot of different uses. A bit overcost I think though.

I just don't know about this one. I see enough 'Dex' here, but Thick Arms is a bit strange, and GMA on Dex? I don't know... Very CREATIVE take.

I like this one. Could be VERY powerful, but the enemy shouldn't have too much trouble taking him out, so he seems pretty well balanced.

Another Dex with many varied and realistic uses, but with still seemingly little use. However, of all the abilities in this contest that attempted to represent his trusted informant side, Crucial Information is by far my favorite. Great Dexter overall, and well balanced.

An interesting Dex. At first, he seemed overcost, but then I realized that he would replace ASP-7 in a lot of squads. Still, not undercost in my opinion. Nice Dexter!

Informant is interesting. I like all the supplies abilities that you gave him, though Twin Blaster may be too powerful on a some pieces. Not a sure thing though, and it replaces turn, so it's not too easy to dish out. Good job!

Large is interesting on him. Helps balance him too. Good, if simple custom.

Great job everyone! Made me work with all the entries this week. My vote overall goes to Lord Ball, displaying his customs-mastery on this difficult to design custom.

3 rounds is a long time… and easy to forget. Might as well be for the whole skirmish. I wouldn’t think of Dex as an 80dmg shooter, especially in the Bar Owner stage of life. 7

Thick Arms is confusing. When he hits, is his damage 20 or 10? Other than that, I like it. Informant is perfect, but cost should maybe be a bit higher. 9.

Gun Runner sure seemed powerful – and then I saw his cost. For 36, it should be powerful. 8.

I really like the idea of Gunrunner/Illegal Weapons Shop, but on further thought, it’s just not very useful. Probably should have been a within 6 ability (or maybe within 3). Adjacent makes it too hard to use. Really happy with how Crucial Information works, though. I’m a big fan of the ideas in this design, but ultimately the execution fell short.

I like the various supplies. IB is nice, but needs to be re-worded. It also may be a bit too powerful. 9.

Two stood out to me for the flavor of the character and the resulting gameplay: corranhorn's and DeathWielded's. SignerJ was close to those two. Either one of my top two could have sealed it and earned a 10 except each had wording issues on one of the abilities (and they both probably could have been bumped a bit on the cost). But since I understand the intent of DW's Information Broker, and I'm not sure how to interpret Thick Arms, I'm going to go with DeathWielded for my vote.
