I'm good with either date as I intend to take the day off for this anyways. Thank you Paid Time Off, I just need to know 2 weeks in advance if it's staying at the 12th.

Would July 19 work for people? Would you prefer to keep it at July 12, even if it means less NZ guys? Please give some feedback, everyone. Actually the only day that would work for me Trev would be the 19th, as I've got two XW regionals on the 12th & 26th in Kingston and Boston.

It's not fair on my family to spend so much time of the weekend on SWM seeing as I'll be running the NZ tournament the day before. If it's the 19th, I can play

Nader and Daman alone (plus knowing the 12th is bad timing in general for the rest of the Kiwis) makes me really want it to be the 19th.
Plus I haven't seen any "I can't do the 19th" comments.

I can do either date, but I would need to leave from 10-12 NZ time.

I had made plans already to attend the Vassal regional on the 12th, but seeing as it has been changed to the 19th, I can't change my plans for the weekend on the 19th. Kinda wish we had sorted this all out long ago so that people could make definite plans to attend and schedule accordingly. We've known the date was going to be the 12th for a while know, so I had assumed that this works for everyone. If the tournament is changed to the 19th, I understand. Just voicing my concern that we could have discussed this much earlier. I think it will be good to have as many people as possible attend, so if the 19th works for many more people, that's great! I wish I was able to attend on the 19th, but my girlfriend would be mad at me if I decided to skip out on spending the whole day with her. She took the whole day off from work on the 19th to spend time with me. Not sure she'd be thrilled watching me sit at my computer all day playing mini's. Have fun guys!

Yeah, I'm sorry. That's my fault. I wasn't thinking when I originally scheduled the tourney for July 5...I just picked the first Saturday in July, because that's what it was last year and it worked fine then. And when I realized the long-weekend issue (duh!) I just bumped it back one week because I didn't know about the big NZ tournament; however, the NZ guys have been a huge part of the Vassal regional for the last few years and we don't want to exclude them at all. And so the date is July 19 now. Final answer. But I'm really sorry that it excludes you. But on the bright side, you've got a girlfriend who wants to spend all day with you, so that can't be a bad thing, right? How can a bunch of plastic and some smelly dudes compare with her?

Yes, it's the 19th.
Does 2:00 pm EST (1:00 pm CST, 6:00 am on Sunday morning in NZ) still work as a good start time?

Let it be known that I have BM'ed my squad and map choice to Darph Nader. You guys can all now start BM'ing your stuff to me, and afterward he will confirm that I didn't change anything. Reminder: I need ALL of the following from you:
At least one hour (or earlier) before the tournament starts, send me a BM that includes all of the following information for yourself: -Real name -Screen name on Vassal -Skype name -Squad, fully written out (copied from the Bloomilk squad builder would be easiest) -Map choice
We will be starting at 2:00 pm SHARP (EST), so please try to send me your info at least an hour ahead of that, so that I have enough time to get you registered. Thanks! See you soon!

I'm still in two minds about registering. I have to go out from 10-12 NZ time (6-8 pm EST), so I'd have to drop a couple of games.

I finally got Vassal up. (A big thanks to both Trevor and Deri). I don't have Skype though (is that a deal breaker?) I hope not. If not then to all of my opponents, be patient with me as this will be my first ever Vassal game and I'm sure there's a learning curve to get used to. Espicially given that I'm not computer savvy like some.

Jake I would download Skype and if you don't have a mic on your computer run to best buy pick one up. You will be able to play 1-2 extra rounds ok I might be going a lithe much there. But you will save at least 3-10 mins. Since you don't know how Vassal works it will be a lot easier for you if you have Skype and a mic.
