edit: Obviously not all posters around here are that bad. Cybit did ask me if it was ok to post JA spoilers on this website. I agreed. I appreciated that he asked first before posting.
It kinda says as much in the stickied post at SWMGamers...I was just following what ze sticky said! Exactly. And I did appreciate you asking me for permission. That simple act of courtesy goes along ways.

If it was meant to be kept strictly private, then emails would have been used. And while I agree that these forums can be somewhat disrespectful at time, it certainly hasn't been any worse than some of the rants about GOWK that I've read over at SWMGamers. By that observation, I could (wrongly) conclude that everyone posting on that board engages in personal attacks because of their support or dislike of one figure.
Also, the images were posted on Imageshack.com, which has links that allow you to share the pictures and put them on any sort of website (Facebook, myspace). Not exactly the place to post private pictures.
And thanks for bashing us on the SWMGamers thread.
Monni probably used what image hosting resources were available. I did the same with my JA booster pieces. As for your comment on bashing, I'm not even going to reply. Regardless. You can't post pictures to a public image sharing site that provides the tools to link to those pictures and then be surprised when those links get posted in other places on the internet. When companies try to limit the decimation of trailers and movies on youtube, they make the website take them down, much like WotC did with the unapproved pictures and stats that were released early. If the original taker of the pictures of the poster didn't want them to be spread around, I'm sure they would have been taken down as well. I'm not trying to be obstinate. I think everyone is justifiably excited about the new set and hungry for more info about it. I'm sure no offense was intended, and it seems to be a bit of a stretch to imply that it was.

Oh, I don't think any offense was intended. To be honest, I doubt Monni really cares. He wanted to share them with the community. But it comes down to the principle. As for Wizos taking down unreleased material, they have loosened their stance some since the first official preview ;). In regards to image hosting, we all have to work with what is available. For most of us, that means Imageshack or Facebook. That said, it would take some digging to find those pictures. The picture names don't even mention Jedi Academy.

Actually, even if it is given to him, it's not his to what he pleases. Same when you buy a movie, you can't make copies and give it to your friends. That would be piracy. Not saying his posting the pics is piracy, just that the company retains property rights.
So, it could be construed that he needed permission from wizards to post the pics. I don't believe that, as I don't believe permission was needed to repost the pics elsewhere. Still credit should have been given where the info came from.

We're arguing semantics, and I doubt that either of us will be swayed by the other, so lets just agree to disagree.
I will say that I appreciate the pictures of the poster that were taken and posted on the web. I also really appreciate the sharing of stats from the ebay boosters.
I also really appreciate those that put either the info or the picture links up where everyone can access them, even behind evil work firewalls.

Yeah, even worse than evil work firewall is my lack of a computer at work, so I have to use my blackberry to get to bloomilk.

The same went for the Imperial Entanglements PDF of the poster. It is his to do with as he pleases (within reason).

Boy, this arguement sounds familiar. There are many eager posters who see something and don't think too much before they post (or repost). There are also plenty of valid reasons why someone can't or won't go to a certain site.
Over stuff like this, the best you can really do is ask. There is absolutely NO reason to bash either site's users.

He still able to do things with it (within reason). I was just citing movies because you cannot redistribute them, even when you are not making a profit. It is a different sort of case, but the point I was trying to make was that one could own a physical representation of a copyrighted material, but not be able to redistribute that without permission.

Quoted from Wookieepedia: "While Revan's gender is specified by the player, the canonical Revan is confirmed by Leland Chee to be male." Thank you defender390. And whoops, my mistake on Revan.

No blood, no foul. As long as the images don't show up on the Wotc main board, its all good. I do give thanks to Tirade for fighting the good fight, though :) To be honest, when I'm here at bloomilk, I'm doing squad stuff .. tend to forget that there is a forum, otherwise I probably would have posted them here, too.

well I dont know how my site got into this but first off I would like to thank all the people here who have bashed swmgamers.com... fun stuff for sure.
As I remember before Bloomilk.com had forums many of you folks bashing the site lived there when we got leaks on stats. So it gives me warm fuzzies to see how fickle you are.
On Gamers we have a sticky that lets folks know that if something is posted there preview wise that it stays there without the permission of the person who posted or without giving total credit to the source of the information. I find this a reasonable and prudent policy so maybe when something is leaked from this site people can appreciate the site for what it does versus bashing it.
If you can view bloomilk at work I can guarantee you that you can view gamers at work. it travels thru almost every filter out there.
The reason for registering at Gamers is because leaked stats are kept hidden. This is because of some of the back lash that occured during the Barcelona-gate episode in which we had all of the A&E stats way early. Similar thing happened during Force Unleashed when we got all of the stats way early. I dont find these stats myself but I have to be careful as I am a part-time employee of wizos.

All is good. I remember visiting SWMGamers back in the olden days when the official forums got boring. I miss that (I am not registered), but I understand and respect your reasoning, dnemiller. At the end of the day, it is all the intellectual property of Wizards of the Coast and it does not matter who posts it online, it only matters who can sue us for every penny.
On Topic: The Jedi Exile miniature turned out a lot better than I thought it would as far as the sculpt. Now the only thing left to hope for is good stats and something to help the OLd Republic find its stride.

And I haven't been prevented from accessing Gamers on any computer as of yet, but are you saying that people who say they can't access Gamers while at work but can access Bloomilk are being dishonest or just mistaken?
