Well, like Fingersandteeth said, Rob's hand is still in the next 3 sets, and this coming set we've already seen another SSM piece. So, to modify that ability we're going to impact more than one piece. Besides, I agree with the posters who have said that the new Obi is a good representation without being overpowerful. As far as fixing GOWK the best ideas I've heard so far are recosting him or taking away his force renewal.

though im not a fan of "Banning" a mini, at this point in the game, he should just stay a fun piece to play with. meaning, no competitive play for him, no re-costing and no errata changes. hes been out for awhile, and though alot of people will not agree with me, he should just "stay on the bench", never expecting to get in. to, it just complicates things more to have things changed in the errata. "hes under costed" "his FR1 Blows" "Arrgghh!! I hate mettle!!" "Down With Soresu!! Viva La Shii Choo!!" theres just too many things for people to come together on when having GOWK fixed. GOWK is to Star wars Miniatures as Gears of War 2 is to X-Box, Broken. and there is nothing that we could do to fix either. we should definitely retire GOWKs Jersey though, his no. would be 55!

They did a good job with the new GOWK. I think that GMY took the spot of an errated but still 55 point Obi, so they made a different one. Nice work. Although that blasteded SSM is back, he can only reroll it up to five times, so I'll live with it.

i wouldnt count out his surprise move though, given the right circumstances, it can prove to be deadly.

I agree that Surprise move will be deadly at points, but FlObi is still limited on his damage output, and with only 5 force points, those can go fast when using rerolls and Surprise Move. I honestly think this obi is priced competitively, but not broken. I realize you're not saying he is broken, but I will say in terms of SSM, this Obi is a good example of how to use SSM on a mini. He's expensive with great SA's, FP's, stats, and CE. Those stats all synergize pretty well, but for well over a third the squad, and with limited force points, this FlObi looks like he won't break meta. In fact, sometimes having Crab Armor 6 will do more for a mini than SSM. Cheers to the new FlObi!
