While the plans have not been finalized, I wouldn't get too much hope up for new, new characters. Yeah, I'd echo this sentiment. I'd expect recosting/restatting of existing minis we have. There's so much that can be done for older pieces. Plus we have a number of non-Uniques that were based off of Unique characters. So there is potential there. I honestly wouldn't expect a whole new miniature. There is plenty to work with at present. I would certainly rather see the old stuff brought up to current standards before a lot of new (conversions) things are created, though I am up for that too. No doubt we all have our list of pieces we'd love to play if they could be made viable again. Heck, the old Speeder bikes just need an entry removed from the FAQ and they are pretty much good to go Are you thinking of allowing the Speeder Bikes to use Accelerate and Strafe in tandem? Or is it something else? Just curious.

Well I hope the make a new starter for the last set with updated rules and maps. That may be the only way we will ever get Taris undercity map. The did say a reprint of that was was forthcoming as a reprint in a future release.

I think it's safe to say at this point that will never happen, unless their decide to print a bunch for any end-of-game events they might run.

With Vong, I would just recommend Rodian Black Sun Vigo to help keep the Shaper and other boosters alive. Nice idea. Shame he doesn't cost more like 15 points instead of 24. The RBSV is certainly a piece that has a useful CE. I don't see why he couldn't be recosted. I'm against recosting any current piece, so I'd definitely argue as much as possible against this. Now, creating a new character with the exact same CE and making them cheaper, I'm all for that ;)

I wouldn't say it's necessary for every mini that feels wrong, but I think Uniques are worth looking into. Just like how I'd love to see the older minis updated with some of the newer SAs and FPs. EDIT: If this means a new mini needs to be created using the older miniatures, I'm fine with that. I think it would be nice to bring those older miniatures back to the table.

i know i posted this on the wizzos forum also, but i would like to see the First virtual set be from shinja's custom set contest, because it would give a good basis for a set, and it would be able to come out quick. Also it would allow for whoever is designing the future sets a little more time to work on them. just some food for thought.
and i am always willing to help as much as i can to keep the sets coming and the community thriving.

The writing has been on the wall for a long time, but still it's sad to see the game go. What a shame.
My biggest question is: Will there be a governing body like Gamers to delegate which custom minis are legal or illegal, or will it just be an ad-hoc deal with one player approving the other's customs before the match?

Well, I would really like to know what is going on with all of this "Keeping the game alive". I understand that its being taken care of on Gamers, but an update on Bloomilk would be great. I don't have the time to website hop.

As far as I know, the priority right now is getting Regionals and Gencon all set.
Keep in mind, we have had official confirmation for just 2 days. An organization can't spring up overnight.

I understand Gen Con is a priority, heck, I'll be there. But I heard talk of things being done to keep the interests of the community. I only would like to know what ideas are being thrown around. I'm seeing alot of gamers already throw their stuff on ebay, and it's disheartening. I'm sorry if I came off as demanding, as it has been a stressful week, and then the news of the game going splat have kind of warn on me.

Yep, MotF is the last set. And yes, many people have invested thousands of dollars into the game. But just because this is the last set doesn't mean the game is dead. So it's not a waste of money unless you stop playing.

My biggest question is: Will there be a governing body like Gamers to delegate which custom minis are legal or illegal, or will it just be an ad-hoc deal with one player approving the other's customs before the match? The will continue to be a governing floor rules for competitive events. Currently things are being organized. The plans are to get Regionals up and going. We are looking to do more this year than last and already have 16 versus 12 it appears. We will look at even growing that number if possible. Then comes Gencon. I have spent most of the evening actually scheduling the events for Gencon. In the fall we are looking at releasing a 60 piece virtual set that covers all factions. We are hoping to have the cards availible for download or have something set up where for a small price you can have cards (current game quality ) printed for your use. In addition to that we are looking at taking the opposite side of the card and instead of having a picture putting the RPG stats for that character on the back side. We need to remember that the RPG community is losing their game at the same time we are and really we are the same community. So that is kind of what is going on in a nutshell. Plans are being made. I realize that some of you cannot forum hop. I could say the same it is hard for me to forum hop too right now. So try to be understanding and we can all get this taken care of. Currently the way things stand we have more people working on this that wizards ever had working on the game. I am hoping we can avoid some of the pitfalls and mistakes they made. Maybe after doing this a little while someone will pick up the game.
