Yeah, I don't see the problem, either. I've been particularly impressed with the pieces that have come out. I initially thought the new Mace was clearly broken, but I ran a simulation that showed his damage output is, on average, about the same as Lord Vader's. It's just that Lord Vader's is more consistent. With crits, it's possible Mace could take out anything. His standard damage is lower, though, which balances the average. I like this Dooku. Seems odd to see him without Lightning or a lightsaber, but I like that it represents the political side of him. His manipulative side using the force is not something people would see, so it still fits with the politician. Other than Brianna bringing the infuriating Lightsaber rule to the forefront again, I've been really happy. i have to agree with you on theDooku front. HE is cool. Maybe a little unorthadox, but it shows that the designers are thinking. Hew may not be a direct counter to anything, but he gives a nice boost to living Seps. And to be honest, i dont think it is easy to balance the game above 300. To me he is as messed up as both kazdan and wat for 200+ matches that dont use gambit. IM not saying that it is bad to play these styles, but it is difficult with pieces like those.

In games above 200pt, the most broken piece IMO is Darth Vader Dark Jedi. Insanely annoying.
With regards to Dooku, I can't wait for more V-Set living seppies.

Lord Kaans stats...... The most unique person in this V-set in my idea. I love it! He just made the Sith a very fun squad to play!

Crack Shot is pretty cool. Nice to see a new trick for the Mandos (although I'm wondering if Crack Shot will be a 'signature' skill for Advance Scouts, in which case they will share it at least with the Imperials).
In the Next lost Twenty, we had a very similar commander effect. I think it was for Joruus C'Baoth, so yet another case of minor synchronicity. Now, if only then make a Gryph like our (Disruptive/Diplomat in the Old Republic!), I'll be a very happy man. :)
Kaan is pretty cool. I'm glad they didn't take the "easy route," and go for another powerhouse piece (Yet another pleasant surprise, like the new take on Dooku). I'm happy to see Bravado. Like the Dark Times Force powers, I think it's one of the more interesting things that WotC did near the end, so I'm glad to see them both getting continued life.
I'm not sure how Kaan will play (and what kind of squads he works well in), so I'm curious to hear from some of his playtesters. Although he's not expensive, he's also not cheap (over one-sixth of your squad at 200). His commander effect is nice, but seems to support pieces who desperately need help from multiple sources. Maybe Saul Karath helps change the equation?
I also have a question about Thought Bomb. Does it activate automatically when Kaan is defeated, regardless of how many Force Points Kaan has at the time? The phrasing seems a little ambiguous to me.
Interesting dynamic between Kaan and Sidious (both of them). One one hand, HoloSid seems like a natural pairing, allowing Kaan to use Illusion will still saving 5 FP to use Thought Bomb when he starts to get hammered. On the other hand, the other Sidious is great for the swap. Maybe paired with a Mouse and maybe... a massiff?

The danger with him is that he gets shot to death before leaving your main squad cluster and BOOM, hoisted by your own petard. He looks great to me. I am fairly sure he thoughtbombs on death, regardless of force points. The Mando Advance Scout looks good, but brings to the forefront my confusion about combining fire abilities. I never know who is doing the combining, attacking and who gets the Spotter bonus and all that jazz.

Well you don't need Sidious for Swap, you can always use new Revan. That way you can keep Sidogram in there. It works especially well because of Backlash. Revan's got Cunning, Kaan has Backlash!

Good call. I had completely forgotten about the new Sith Revan. They seem like a pair meant for each other, too.

I think Freedon Nadd is a better option. Tons of synergy between the powers and CE's.

You need to have the 5 Force Points in order to get off Thought Bomb. Only reason the whole "when defeated" is mentioned is because we wanted it to be able to go off even if your opponent gets to kill you on their turn before you got it off. It's more a risk for your opponent that way...

Being the Bane aficionado that I am I was giddy when I saw Zannah was coming out, and amazed Kaan also made the list. I think the designers pegged him, mostly... Everything on him is perfect, right where he should be in line with the sith, and even got thought bomb down smack. But the CE throws him off IMO. If my memory serves he was (one of) the leader of the Brother Hood of Darkness. He trained Sith, and Dark jedi. I dont recall him having any interaction with sith troopers at all and I really wouldn't want to play them with him. So just personally I would have done away with the CE all together or make it beneficial to some non unique sith to represent his 'Teacher' Role. Regardless I still appreciate all the work every one is doing to make this set possible. Thanks!
