And yes, I will make a concerted effort to run something else.............and then end up bringing GOWK/Mace with 100 more points. At least I'm consistent. This is what makes SWM so much fun Hink! Great job with the prizes Corey, now you need to learn how the game of poker works. Anyway of making Sun. an x-wing tourney or are not enough people into the game. We would have plenty of extra ships and cards if people need them. Or SWM is great too!

A few years back (7 to be exact) we played in a six man tourney using 2 maps. There were some restrictions but it was alot of fun. Everyone for themselves. It was 150pt no superstealth, and no one could have the same faction or unique mini being used. 1 vader, 1 luke or Mara. You had to prereg your squad online before the event. It was a blast, like a game of risk, one minute you are allies with the guy next to you, next your blasting him to bits with a new ally. Setup was the 4 corners and 2 midds. The maps would have to be choosen carfully so the midd. squads dont get hammered right off the get go. Just a thought...

Hey guys I just wanted to give everyone an update. I am still working hard on prize support (2 1/2 Trophies made just 3 1/2 to go) I put the address up on the original post for the church. the only thing we really need to settle on is the 500pt tourney. Darph Nader has graciously offered to host it Sunday at Jester Cap Games, however I know there are a few out of towners who will have a hard time with this seeing how they have to drive back that on Sunday. the other option is to have it right after 300pt saturday night. I am open to any and all suggestions. another thought is to still go with the 500pt epic on sunday and hold an x wing tourney after the 300pt on saturday. seeing how we are charging 20 dollars I was going to purchase subs do we want those for lunch or for dinner. if we do something after the 300pt people might want to break for dinner and then come back.

I'd say: 500 on Sunday. starting early enough so we're done with swiss by 3-5 pm. this gives people time to get home, and still get enough sleep for Monday morning. x wing or more SWM's, after the 300 pt tourny. subs for dinner . because I'm too focused on a tournament to be distracted by yummy food & I follow the "work before pleasure" theory break for dinner then come back to play more! open SWM's gaming on Friday would be the best thing in the entire galaxy. ( except for my favorite imaginary girlfriend with Force abilities.--Mara Jade!-- )

I'd be totally up for an X-Wing tourney on Saturday night. FWIW, I'd still really like to play in a 500pt tourney on Sunday if it's going to be happening.
I think having a 500pt tourney after a 300pt tourney (both on Saturday) could lead to quick burnout. X-Wing is different enough and fast-paced enough that I doubt you'd have the same problem with X-Wing after the 300 on Saturday.

Regarding Sunday if there's going to be an event, the start time will be at high noon. I have not yet decided on the format specifics but I'll say this much; any constructed squad MUST have at least one Epic character as part of the build.
I will run the event if we have at least six players including yours truly.

Regarding the "Friday Night Follies" at Chez Russell... It is time, O yes time I say for a good old 100 point tourney!!! Bring whatever map strikes your fancy for a fast paced 30 min time limit no holds barred skirmish. And yes there will time enough for other follies. Such as Expanded Weed, X-Wing, Poo and many board games.

I am trying to acquire a buddy pass from my darling aunt that would enable me to fly in for this event, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully I'll be able to make it.
