Vonduun Crab Armor is actually a variable ability. Force Armor or whatever does not appear to be. Just because one instance of VCA works like it, doesn't mean they are creating abilities just for flavor. VCA 6 and VCA 16 still work differently.

Sorry, it's just bugging me that we are getting new abilities but they are just old abilities with new names to them just for flavor.
Correction: Paraylsis and Jolt i think its just that they are the same ability, but fit into 'real life' circumstances, becuase you cant put paralysis on a laser gun bullet can you.... and if a jen-fender had crab armour it would just sound weird.... so i dont think theres much to worry about there...

Wow, that Vong looks awesome. As does the jedi crusader. I love the multi faction affinity for the Ranger as well. Correction: Paraylsis and Jolt Well I see your point but there is a big difference between them. Jolt hurts living and droids, Paralysis only hurts living characters

For Force Attuned Armor, the equivalents are Voduun Crab Armor 11 and Shields 1. Despite being variable abilities, they do the same exact thing by reducing damage by 10 with a save of 11.
As for Paralysis, Jolt, and Scramble, these abilities are there for one primary reason: reduce activations. Despite the specific differences (affecting living vs droid), they are fundimentally the same ability to achieve that desired effect.
I am guilty of comparing all of these abilities in that they are different gameplay-wise. That is my mistake.

I know that only so many options can be had without repeat or creating a more effective ability while reducing the use of an existing ability. I just find it funny when pointing out that it's just Malibu Stacy with a new hat, someone pulls a Smithers saying it's still a different Malibu Stacy. :) But, I have said my piece and remember that the devil, of this game, is really in the details. :)
