Due to time constraints, we played 4 rounds and cut to top two. Etienne beat Lillian to take the title. The rest played one last round of Swiss to determine the final rankings.

Since we are going in order of place: Third
39 Quinlan Vos, Double Agent 35 Anakin Skywalker on STAP 28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler 24 Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Trainer 23 Captain Panaka 21 The Dark Woman 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 8 Mas Amedda 4 Gran Raider 3 Rodian Brute 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
(200pts. 12 activations)
4-1 11pts
Not going to a top 4 cut I think hurt me the most Since I think my squad had a shot vs atm.
I was really rusty and kept forgetting this was not Imperial Assault but everyone was very nice and understanding. I felt like a new player. Thanks everyone for understanding. I had a blast and playing a old school WOTC based squad was a lot of fun.
We had 15 players

(200pts. 8 activations)
...Lets just say I would not recommend running this squad.

I was with Double Trouble Ping Pong Pong Krell Kazdan Rex Lobot Gha R2 ugo
Basically if you get reserves you get 60 pts worth.
Rd 1 Lost -- no reserves Rd 2 4 reserves in a row (including stealing a 20 from my opp) -- win Rd 3 2 reserves (one early, one mid) -- lost. Opp made a couple of great moves, which made me go for broke, which didn't pay off. Rd 4 2 reserves (rd 2 and rd 4) -- won, but more because my opp had horrid dice. Should have killed Rex like 4 or 5 times but couldn't do it Rd 5 bye
Squad definately struggles to get 3 pt wins. First reserves is basically bringing in acts to get up to speed. Then second reserves get you the meat of your attackers. If you don't get the second reserves until rd 4 or 5, it is very tough to get 3 point win, let alone a win at all.

...Lets just say I would not recommend running this squad. Bryan (Darkdracul) and I are driving back and were just talking about your squad. We both wish that was the kind of squad we could play and be Competetive with. A balanced squad of a couple of shooters and a couple of beat sticks. We really liked a lot of squads that we saw. The republic commandos were solid, Revan and bane doing so well was sick, Jonnys blast from the past was pretty tricky and on top of those you even had a Thon song in the mix.

Thanks to all who came out and played. It was great to have 15 players enjoy a day of minis.
6x Republic 3x New Republic 1x Rebels 1x Separatists 1x Sith 1x Old Republic 1x Imperial 1x Mandalorian 0x Vong 0x strictly Fringe.
Starting squads ranged from 7-26 figures.
I liked Timmer's 'nameplates' on figures so that even with using recommended figures for v-set pieces you could see at a glance that 'okay, that's not a WotC piece' and 'oh, yeah, that's who that is.'
A range of ages from young to young-at-heart; I think it's 14 to 49.
WI, IL, MN, IN represented. A first for us in that the locals were outnumbered by the visitors.
13 males to 2 females.
We had 119 years of playing experience amongst the players; ranging from 1 to 11.
Thanks to Engineer for the trophies and LilyWan for the custom figure prize support.

Harry's Regional Squad (see Harry's post above; I had to razz him)
1x Vader's Apprentice, Unleashed 1x Boba Fett, Assassin for Hire 1x Emperor Palpatine on Throne 1x Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo) 1x Mas Amedda 1x Mynock 1x R7 Astromech Droid 2x Imperial Dignitary 2x Ugnaught Demolitionist
(200 pts. 11 activations)
4th place (4-1 with 10 points)
Last minute substitution (see post above) definitely helped this squad.
Yes, that is a Mynock in there. Don't laugh. It delivered the death blow to finish a game.
Drat Betrayal. Johnny's Quinlan Vos Force Point rerolled into a 1 giving me his figure. But it was short-lived as Johnny then took him out. Although I had 167 points of kills, his gambit out-paced me. Johnny was a true player in that he came in for the late game fight instead of sitting back. Classy move.
TimmerB destroyed me. Someone has to keep me humble.
3 point wins were a big deal. And I only get 1 point for killing 167 points in a loss?!?!?! I had more points than most 2 point winners. (First sentence = serious, second sentence = facetious, third sentence = just a statement of fact.)
Finally I get to take home one of Engineer's creations. But I'm still waiting for that Timth Place Trophy. :>)
A great group of players. Thank you to all for a great day. Hope everyone had as much fun as they seemed to have playing, discussing, observing, analyzing, Monday-morning quarterbacking, etc this game we enjoy.

Actually, I did the best against the Republic Commandos, since I was able to use Bounty Hunter more often with Cade and Jariah. Cade doesn't miss many attacks against uniques, but late game I had to risk dark temptation and failed the save.

Did anyone have any questions with any maps? Specifically the Mining Colony Upper Level? In the center around the duct there are 5 little door like things. They kind of resemble doors except the marks are red instead of blue. I can't see it being ruled as wall as I don't see why they wouldn't just make it straight red line, and if it was a wall then there is a lot of empty space in the middle of the map. Are they doors? Are they just weird marks and can just move through them like normal squares?
I have not seen anyone use the map but if anyone used this map in the regional then how was this ruled?

Mining Colony Upper was my map but I didn't win map roll all day. The red doors have been ruled to be normal doors.

Nice! Great job Atmsalad. A Very similar squad stole me the championship in the north. It's pretty versatile and tough. Nice to see such a wide spread of factions and I believe the game has never been more varied for factions.

Nice to see such a wide spread of factions and I believe the game has never been more varied for factions. Thank you! I think this build definitely takes this squad up a notch and allows it to keep up with squads such as double swap, naboo and durge on speeder. Although I agree that the game has never been more varied for every faction in general, I don't think that every faction is equipped with a tier 1 option. Currently, I think that the only factions that have tier 1 options are Separatists, Imperials and republic. Rebels- Luke and Leia, Spec Force Wilderness and Pilots? Vong- Charging Vong(deceptively tier 2), Nomb Bombs and Praetorite Vong Scouts/Aggressive Negotiations Sith- Lord Krayt, Revan with kaan and Caedus? New Rebuplic- Super Stealth troopers, Professor Lukes Art Class and New Han? Old Republic- Bastilla and friends Mandos- Vindicated squads (either with NCO or Trevors(Tints) build that weeks played) Fringe- Talon (which may be pushed to tier 1 with Aves from v-set 10) Although these factions have many variations and different squad builds, they just cant keep up right now...
