As I remember before Bloomilk.com had forums many of you folks bashing the site lived there when we got leaks on stats. So it gives me warm fuzzies to see how fickle you are.
On Gamers we have a sticky that lets folks know that if something is posted there preview wise that it stays there without the permission of the person who posted or without giving total credit to the source of the information. I find this a reasonable and prudent policy so maybe when something is leaked from this site people can appreciate the site for what it does versus bashing it.
If you can view bloomilk at work I can guarantee you that you can view gamers at work. it travels thru almost every filter out there.
The reason for registering at Gamers is because leaked stats are kept hidden. This is because of some of the back lash that occured during the Barcelona-gate episode in which we had all of the A&E stats way early. Similar thing happened during Force Unleashed when we got all of the stats way early. I dont find these stats myself but I have to be careful as I am a part-time employee of wizos.
I think there was only one person who "bashed" Gamers if it makes you feel any better.
And I haven't been prevented from accessing Gamers on any computer as of yet, but are you saying that people who say they can't access Gamers while at work but can access Bloomilk are being dishonest or just mistaken?
I am saying that Gamers goes thru almost any work filter out there as at my old job we had one off the most restrictive work filters out there. I could get to gamers though. I am just clarifying.
I totally get that most people on bloomilk come here because they like it here. It also appears that these forums tend to focus more on a more casual crowd of players. That is cool. But I also know that doesn't bloomilk any better than gamers and vice versa. They are different sites and serve different purposes in the world of Star Wars Miniatures.
One thing you wont find at Gamers is any bashing of Bloomilk. For a couple of reasons. One I love the fact bloomilk is out here for folks and another reason is I like Aaron he is a classy guy.
For me Wizards of the Coast boards have failed miserably for most of us out here an the moderation issues have just made it worse. So I love the fact that people go here or to gamers instead. Both sites show why we have the greatest community in gaming. Gamers is many things to many people. I know a lot of people dont like that people go to Galactic Senate and gripe about things. Well that is why it has its own section so folks that dont like to see people griping can avoid it.
Honestly though there are times that I feel a certain amount of hostility here. I dont know if it is because I own Gamers or because I like competitive play. I guess it is just like I was just letting the person know that Gamers get thru most work filters. That was an informational part of the post. But your post asks if I am accusing them of lying... That really is trying to find something to be negative about. It is a reach at best.
