The issue/reason I say that is largely the using rangefinder part. The character "using" the ability can no longer combine fire anyway, I'm guessing the intent is a character benefitting from it. but any attempts by me to offer a rewording would likely become more convoluted.


I agree, the wording is difficult to make explicit on the card without becoming word salad.

(Followers within 6 squares using Rangefinder or who combine fire with an ally with Sniper grant +6 Attack instead of +4)

For what it's worth, I focused the text on the characters granting the bonuses.
The character with Rangefinder (currently active) grants a bonus to the attacker, as does each unit combining fire. This follows the pattern of several WotC CEs. Fortunately, it's an SA so would have a glossary entry to spell it out in detail.
