Echo24 wrote:*shrug* It never took me much longer to play whether I had activation control or not. You should be thinking a few moves ahead either way. still, it makes sense. Think about how much faster chess would be if you could move 2 pieces. Not a perfect comparison, but it is the same. Of course you should be thinking ahead, however, you don't know what the opponent is going to do. They might do something dumb that makes you question if it is a trap, etc. With more opportunities for change comes more time to figure out developing play. The other side of that is that once you out activate and lets say you can move 6 pieces, those should be A LOT faster. So longer in the beginning, shorter towards the end. Interesting

I don't know how many games went like this... I move 2 pieces they take a minute to spin mas ameda who does nothing. I repeat they take another full minute to spin ozzel who again doesn't even move... that should take 5 seconds tops. this repeats 5 times and I now sit there with nothing to do as they take 20 minutes to spin 10 rodians and mouse droid to swap one person shoot twice and reroll init to do it all again.

It seems like judges were not doing their job or were not called over. It makes no sense that they should be able to take a minute to spin Mas Amedda. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM-G0bkl8MQ

#Limitonacts This Scenario has nothing to do with the amount of activations. That would be considered slow play. If it happened more than twice I would say something #hashbrown

Taking a few minutes to figure out a plan and then just spinning a piece and passing the turn isn’t necessarily a problem, because like I said, you should be thinking at least a few moves ahead anyway. I might spend 5 minutes planning an elaborate move but then decide I need to wait 3 more phases before I start doing it, so I just spin Mas, then next phase spin a mouse, then next phase spin Ozzel, now you’re done with all of your activations and I enact the plan. Of course that means I should be able to enact that plan very quickly, because I front-loaded a lot of the thinking earlier in the round. If somebody spends minutes to just spin characters and then also spends way too long on stuff later in the round, they’re probably just slow playing and it would be reasonable to call a judge if it keeps happening.

If it happened more than twice I would say something #hashbrown I know, a good fast player wouldn't have an issue. I have no issues saying I personally would want a cap limit on the number of pieces you can activate before rolling initiative again make every activation meaningful.

I'm beginning to think the radio silence is just them trolling us. But jak is correct - the finals tend to get played whenever those two players can comfortably fit the game in. Keep in mind, most everyone there is trying to max out their gaming (etc) time.

I like the idea of a big conspiracy more lol. Although either one of these players winning will be cool and both squads are awesome.
