my squad did pretty good

--all melee/no force--
30 Xizor
15 Jabba, Crime Lord
15 Ugnaught Boss
13 Weequay Leader
98 Aqualish Assassin x14
27 Ugnaught Demolitionist x9

(198pts. 27 activations)

house ruled CE's as board wide, since we had no access to mouse droids.

assassins had cunning/opportunist,stealth, grens 10,+15 for 30-40.

How about a FrostyCon type match for this one?

Epic 500
At Least one Epic character required.
All current v-sets are sanctioned, including Vengeance & Cantina Brawl
(16) act limit including reinforcements but not reserves i.e. (Lobot v Lobot CLO). No limits on CE’s
Gambit worth (25) points but the piece claiming gambit must be (25) points or >.

(not that I'm trying to see how a squad would do or anything Tongue) .

Just to clarify, the Epic 500 rules are for the Jan 21st gathering in prep for your trip to FrostyCon 2012?

Is the only place to see the V-Set 3- "Vengeance" and "Cantina Brawl" cards in the Bloo Milk thread:

V-Set 3- "Vengeance" and "Cantina Brawl" (SPOILERS!) ??

Can we see this info anywhere else?

I understand the activation limit but what is all the rest of this mean?

the 16 activation have to include and pieces gained through reinforcements (right away), but not reserves, where a certain # on a D20 must be rolled

Reinforcements let you look at your opponents pieces, and before the game starts, add whatever you want (up to the points allowed) to your squad.
Reserves is based on your initiative number: if you roll X you get #pts worth of stuff before the first turn.
We play for fun at UH, so we don't use Gambit much.
Gambit: from the center of the map count 4 spaces out, diagonals count 2, any piece worth 5 pts (25 in this case) in the gambit zone at the end of the turn gets 5 (25) pts toward victory. You win if the total value of your opponents pieces killed plus gambit equals or exceeds your opponents squad value.

Since we missed our two master players on the 18th who were off at FrostyCon 2012...

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25TH, NOON @ UNDERHILLS

Just keeping it simple and basic for learning, quick matches (and Beta testing if Jak wants/needs to):
-100 points
-v-sets allowed

Hope to see you there!

Editor and I will be there...

Editor mentioned the idea of having 4 man battles, every man for himself playing gambit. Make two types of 100 pt squads, one with no force users, one with force users. Obviously doing one battle with and one without.

We'd select a map now so that everyone knows which map we'd be using and could plan accordingly. Open to ideas as to how to section out the board evenly with 4 players.

This would be for Saturday, March 17th.

Thoughts??? Or would you rather play something else??

OK, so March 17th is quickly approaching. Jak mentioned he was ok with Editor's idea (and noone else mentioned any other ideas) so here's the ironed out details.

There will be two, 4 person battles, every man for himself playing gambit.

For Battle #1 each person should build a 100 point squad that has no force users. V-sets are legal. The map will be Mos Eisley. Each person will start in a corner of the map. Starting location on the map will be determined by a die roll.

For Battle #2 each person should build a 100 point squad that only has force users. V-sets are legal. The map will be The Crystal Caves of Ilum. Each person will start in a corner of the map. Starting location on the map will be determined by a die roll.

Again this is playing gambit. The standard gambit rule that the mini must cost 5 points or more to score points in the center will be followed. CE's will follow what's printed on the card, so plan accordingly. (I only mention this because in the past we have played board wide CE's for certain matches even at my own request.) That should keep things interesting, I hope.

After those battles, I guess just plan on 150 point standard battles with v-sets included?? Unless anyone has any other ideas to try...

Comments??? Complaints???? Better ideas???? Let's hear em!
