I live in Virginia, and I want 12 sets of R&R, and BOT. I donate 420 Dollars. Will those cards get sent to me? I'm not going to Gencon this year.
Yes. I think someone has stepped up to be the Virginia pointman already. After GenCon we'll send all the VA cards to that point man, who is then responsible to send them to who needs it. We are recording donors, and we'll have a clear chain of custody, in the event that anything gets lost (ie tracking on shipping, recording receipts).

Certainly. Contact Engineer via PM either here or on Gamers for an address.
Cool beans - message sent! AdmiralMotti89 wrote:If you want I can give you my great grandma's telegraph number and you can drive your Model T over to her house to play bridge. Bring your monocle because the card values are hard to read. Also make sure your handlebar mustache is well-waxed, she'd be offended if it's not. Hey, I still shoot with 35mm film and listen to records (you know, the big black double sided CDs?) so you're not THAT far off. :)

Anyone who paid at least 45 days prior to filing will have that problem. If you paid using a credit card through PayPal, your cc company might allow you to contest any charge for up to 60 days. From earlier in this thread... billiv15 wrote:trey22 wrote:As for the original donation, I'm filing a dispute claim w/ my CC company (Discover) to recover those funds, and if recovered will be donated right back for V-Set 2. The Paypal dispute/claim went nowhere as they closed it immediately since it was more than 45 days (**shakes fist furiously at Paypal**) Thank you, if you have any issues getting your funds back over the next month, send me a PM and we will make sure we account for it. I've been really inspired the by willingness of everyone thus far to do as we've asked, considering the circumstances are difficult. Unfortunately, whatever the group might be willing to do in light of unretrievable funds, won't help toward funding the project. It won't get funds 'transferred' over or anything like that.

@darthbane53
When you donate, you can add a note/message to the donate. Please note that you made a custom and include your username, and we'll be sure to be able to send you one.

Will this community project have any URLs or logos on it? We kept it with the Gamers logo because that's where the cards are stored for download. Obviously if something changes with that any time, we will change the card backing. But you make a very good point that I hadn't thought of. I just looked at the Gamers url for information purposes, and while I don't want to make Les create a brand new image late in the game, I'll ask the group for set 3 what they think about it. That's reasonable. Thanks to you and your team for picking up the slack. The situation you find yourselves in is less than ideal.

Random conjecture at this point is counter-productive.. I used big words! woo. Suffice to say, we thought Dean was in touch and on top of things, but we eventually learned that he was not due to some very important personal stuff that came up. For the most part, everything that Dean was handling before has been handed off to others to take the burden. i.e: Bill is running SHNN on his own, Ray has done the organization for GenCon, I'm handling most of the basic website junk (updates/bots/user help). The money issue is the last major hurdle we have to work through, but I expect smooth SWM sailing beyond that.
Rest assured SWMGamers.com will continue for the indefinite future, and steps have been taken to ensure it does not go down without warning or a back up plan.
Again, thanks to all for your support and understanding.
