I think this all could have been saved if George had made the prequels first and the sequels second.

It would have all been saved if Lucas would have just let someone else film the rest of the films, from Empire( the best of the films, in my opinion.Why? cuz Lucas DIDNT direct it.) to ep III.
Lucas had a big enough following in the late 90s, that he could have afforded to let someone OTHER then Micheal Bay, take the helm.
