Also, new stories please. The number really has never been a factor for Star Wars, or any other franchise really. But as for the new stories, personally I feel it's better to take an already great story and adapt it to the big screen. Rather than running the risk mediocre writers straining themselves to create something new. Of course it's a factor. Otherwise, A New Hope would be episode I. It was episode 1, then they changed it to 4.

It was just Star Wars. And then they added the Episode IV: A New Hope during a rerelease before ESB.

Good, good... I see an emotional transitional movie.

So, with Disney getting everything, has it been discussed what might happen to Bloomilk and the V-Sets etc. Disney are a successful corporation and do not look kindly on extra curricular stuff like this. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this.

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this. Hasn't really been discussed, but I think it's very highly unlikely that they will have anything to do with it. Fantasy Flight (the current holders of the Star Wars tabletop license), WotC (owners of the SWM trademarks and such), and LucasFilms (owners of the Star Wars trademarks, obviously) all have greater stake in it, and none of them have said anything about it. Disney almost surely purchased LucasFilms with the intent to just rake in some extra income, not to get heavily involved. The same thing happened when they bought Marvel; Disney made more money because of it, but really haven't been involved one bit in most regards (maybe Marvel Studios got access to better movie making resources, but the comics world really wasn't effected at all by the Disney buy-out). Besides, "Our operation is small enough not to be noticed." - Lando Calrissian

I absolutely love it that they are going to build this new trilogy in the untouched era between Fate of the Jedi and the Legacy series. It respects the existing canon while giving them freedom to create an original story. Great move!
