"Greetings General Grievous and fellow Imperial Commanders. I have come to report failure in the ultimate battle but success in the unfolding of the battle. I was unable to secure the services of the Bounty Hunter Sugi, but I did bring in the lightsaber of another Jedi as a gift. I was able to severely wound Aayla Secura, and the Clone known as Cody, but alas Bly escaped. I chose to issue a fighting retreat in an effort to protect Mas Amedda and Roan Fel, and it was a narrow contest but I felt protection of assets for future higher value campaigns was a better idea."

Final Score 178-170 in favor of Pegolego

My squad
Roan Fel, True Emperor
Imperial Knight Strike Leader
Imperial Knight Master x4
Mas Amedda
R7
Bothan Sab
Mouse Droid

His squad
Commander Cody, CC-2224
Commander Bly
Aayla Secura, Jedi Knight
Felucia Clone Trooper
Star Corps Trooper x4
501 Legion Clone Trooper
R7
Spaarti
Mouse x2

Uniques Lost:
Imperial: None
Republic: Commander Cody, CC-2224 and Aayla Secura, Jedi Knight

The Republic has been successful in their campaign on Cloud City. The Republic Supreme Commander himself led a force of Senate Commandos under the command of none other than General Obi-Wan Kenobi, and his trusted friend Anakin Skywalker. Captain Argyus and the 4th Senate Company landed on Bespin ahead of the Imperial Forces and took up positions inside the structure forcing the Imperial Armies led by Darth Maul, and Scout Troopers to secure the landing platforms. R2-D2 towed the good General into the Carbon Freezing Chamber where he promptly elected to go on a gambit run for the Republic Forces. The following round R2, protected by a Senate Bodyguard brought a Commando in who successfully took out an Imperial Governer and a Bothan Saboteur. Maul charged the faithful astromech whose bodyguard took the damage from the hit. Return fire brought him down to around 60HP. Hoping for an initiative roll that he didn't get Maul was able to dispatch R2 and the Senate Bodyguard but promptly was attacked b Obi and Ani until he was too wounded to continue. From there the Senate Commandos mopped up the remainder of their enemy squad.

Final Score 215-29 Republic
Uniques Lost: Republic- R2-D2 Astromech Droid, Empire- Darth Maul Champion of the Sith.

Amadeus didn't necessarily roll to horrible except for Maul, but the defense of Anakin and the Commandos coupled with GOWK's Soresu was too much to handle.

Commanders,
As I record these words I am currently holding the Lightsabers of 4 dead Jedi, three of them were high-ranking weapon masters. My enemy Obi_Dan had brought Qui-Gon Jinn, Captain Rex and a squad of weapon masters to aid in their Dxun campaign. But I utilized the resources known as Codename Reborn Project. Hethrir led four Reborn Shadowtroopers. Even I must admit the Jedi moved skillfully and fought well and valiantly. But what my enemy did not expect was that j had assigned Grand Admiral Thrawn to coordinate the mission. His Master Tactician skills and command ability combined with our greater numbers allowed us to seize control of the central command building and hold out as we utilized grips and lightning to defeat our enemies. Even when Qui-Gon attempted to retreat, skillful maneuvering by Thrawn allowed a Shadowtrooper to corner and finish off the Jedi Master. He is gravely wounded and only Rex escaped our forces.

Lieutenant Glasdren, reporting in from the Unknown Regions:

Republic High Command,

With great disappointment I must report a narrow defeat.

Tarfful, Merumeru, and a Wookiee Jedi led a commando unit to protect my meeting with the Chiss leaders. The mighty forces of Kashyyyk were met by none other than a gang of Black Sun Thugs. Wielding powerful grenade launchers and highly-trained in stealth tactics, the Wookiees were at first uncertain how best to meet their enemies in combat, and once determined, had difficulty fitting through the close ventilation shafts while remembering to be stealthy.

Tarfful at first sought to eliminate the enemy officers and leave their forces in disarray, but the move was anticipated and they quickly repositioned. The technical support unit accompanying the Wookiees was mercilessly blown up, leaving the Wookiees alone to tediously open and close doors as they advanced. After a disastrous engagement on the north side of the base downed two commandos, Merumeru and Tarfful were through with careful advances. The Wookiees charged, and even the grenades of Black Sun were no match for their fury.

Jango Fett was spotted in the battle, but the Wookiees paid little heed to him as they quickly smashed the enemy front lines. The mighty warriors would have quickly turned the tide of the battle in our favor if I had not been forced to call a retreat.

It seems the Chiss had already allied with the Empire (under threat from the villainous Black Sun, no doubt), and the whole thing was a trap. We were able to disengage quickly, but the Wookiee chieftains will not soon forget the brutality and cowardice of the Black Sun.

Also, we recently discovered the reason General Comedian has been having me command his troops: he's... erm... gone. Kidnapped, we assume. The orders were coming from an Ugnaught in a Clone Trooper helmet that had barricaded himself in the office and was transmitting false signals to confuse our officers. After torturing the Ugnaught with some of Savage Opress's aftershave and finding the location the General was being held at, Coleman Trebor and two more Wookiee Jedis tracked them to a small Separatist holdout cell on the Rishi moon and rescued General Comedian.

* * *

Okay, I ran this:

--A Hairy Situation - Campaign Round 2--
38 Merumeru
37 Chief Tarfful
35 Wookiee Jedi
76 Elite Wookiee Commando x4
8 R7 Astromech Droid
5 Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist

(199pts. 9 activations)

Lafcadio ran:

--Keep On The Sunny Side of Life!--
47 Jango Fett, Assassin
25 Alexi Garyn, Head of the Black Sun
23 Togorian Black Sun Vigo
19 Dug Black Sun Vigo
17 Twi'lek Black Sun Vigo
78 Klatooinian Black Sun Thug x13
3 Mouse Droid

(212pts. 19 activations)

I won map roll and took right side (it was Remote Listening Post). I initially had two Commandos, the Jedi, and the Spaarti go through the lower ventilation shafts and the rest go through the upper ones... failing to realize that those shafts had DOORS at the end. A horde of Grenades 30 super-stealth was just about the worst thing I could possibly have faced; the commandos were almost useless except for being very mobile with Speed +2 and Wall Climber.

Laf originally had his commanders in the upper-left room, so I headed towards that with the chieftains and their crew. He figured out what I was doing and brought them down into a more protected position.

The game was very tense, with the majority of it being a positioning war - he couldn't take gambit, since none of his qualified pieces could compete with the Wookiees in close-quarters, and I couldn't take gambit unless I wanted to eat 150 damage in grenades. He got my door control early on, and since I was horribly out-activated there was no way I could approach safely without taking at least 3 grenade hits.

I left two commandos to come in through the top while Merumeru and Tarfful went back through the shaft to the gambit room. Finally, I bit the bullet and went for gambit with Merumeru. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to have the Wookiee Jedi charge at the same time due to my continual failure to remember the doors.

The two commandos coming in through the top got blown up pretty quickly (Jango got a couple of shots off at one - that was the ONE TIME Enraged Reactions came up the whole game). But once I finally got going (in the last 4-5 minutes), it was pretty fun. The Jedi got two Thugs - rolled two 1's, but got the one behind his target with Splash, then destroyed the other on a reroll. Merumeru took down two, and gets credit for a third because a grenade missed him but hit a Thug. Tarfful took one down, and a Commando ran out and finished off the last one. The game then timed out.

Between thugs and gambit, the score was 45-41 in my favor. Until it was pointed out later that we had miscounted Laf's score, and he actually had 51 (19+19+5+8).

No Uniques lost.

General, the foul Jedi spies had somehow discovered who my main commander was in the force to secure Boba Fetts services...not that it did them any good.

Admirals Daala and Piett lead a force of Snowtroopers to the docking ring and Fetts ship, only to smell the brackish stench of Gungan. It appeared that a Naboo contingent was out with two Shield Bearers, a Bombad Protector, Captain Tarpals and Queen Amidalia herself! (of course those two hid in the back)

The main fighting force of the enemy consisted of Flame Troopers. (trust the Jedi to use such horrible tactics) However, inspired by Daala and Piett the noble Snowtroopers, with a daring Bothan - who nervelessly shot a Gugan SB(several times), were able to overcome such a nefarious squad.

Near the end, with slain Republic troops everywhere, one of my Veteran Snowtroopers saw an opportunity to try for one of the two leaders, sadly they ran and hid as our window for destruction passed.

Victory! Empire! 152 to 34. No uniques lost.

My squad:

--Daala Armada--
27 Admiral Daala
20 Admiral Piett
14 Snowtrooper Commander
12 Snowtrooper Officer
44 Veteran Snowtrooper x4
16 Bothan Saboteur x2
8 R7 Astromech Droid
12 RA-7 Death Star Protocol Droid x2
10 Imperial Dignitary x2
30 Snowtrooper x5
6 Mouse Droid x2

(199pts. 22 activations)

Jacks squad:

20 Captain Tarpals
18 Gungan Elite Infantry
34 Gungan Shieldbearer x2
16 Queen Amidala
90 Clone Trooper with Flamethrower x9
8 R7 Astromech Droid
8 Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist x2
6 Mouse Droid x2

(200pts. 19 activations)

I, may be mistaken, but it seems that Fett and Daala were flirting with each other after the battle. If it weren't for Fetts professionalism I think he would have joined our just cause for Daalas sake. They seem to know each other.
Ah well, awaiting orders for the next mission, General.

In the telling of what happened in the battle on Nar Shaddaa, I have to say that the dice Gods were most cruel to my buddy ConnorKenobi, and he couldn't make a save for the life of himself. As much it is fun winning, being on the winning side of this one, was even painfull for me to watch.
Intriguingly, with a team consisting of the powerhouse 1-2 combo of Vader and Palpatine, it was my Dignitaries that stole the show.

Rnd 1: Battle Ready and Forward Positioning are the shit! Imps get gambit. 10-0

Rnd 2: Cin Drallig slays Bothan Saboteur. Vader answers by annihilating an Arc Trooper Sniper. Both sides get gambit. Imps 36 Republic 18.

Rnd 3: Cin slashes Vader 2 times, dealing 30, after FAA. M. Corde blasts Cin for 20, missing on 1 of her twins, even with a Palpatine Force point reroll. Here's where it got dicey (no pun intended-lol) for ConnorKenobi. Vader unleashes his Dark side wrath, and Cin rolls 5 saves (Force point re-roll on 1) not saving even 1. Ouch. Cin down to 20 hp. Republic R7 opens the main door to gambit, where action is taking place, and Arc Trooper moves into room, shoots and misses Vader twice. Imp R7 locks door. Next, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes; Imp Dignitary, still to this day claiming he comes in peace, hits Cin, who again misses his save, re-rolls with the Force, and again can't roll an 11 for the life of him (literally and figuratively). Down went Drallig. 7 straight rolls that Cin couldn't save. Crazy shit man! In 12 yrs of playing this game, I'd never seen that. Like I said, extremely painful to watch-even on the winning side. Then, in the gambit room, the remaining Arc Trooper gets slain by another peaceful Dignitary. Imps get gambit. Imps 94-18.

Rnd 4: Republic R7 opens the door, and Cap Ordo blasts Vader, missing, killing a Dignitary with splash. Imp R7 locks the door, sealing the victory, as time expires. Imps get gambit.

Final score: Imperials 104, Republic 23

Uniques lost: Cin Drallig

MVP's= Imperial Dignitaries with 2 confirmed kills, 1 of which included a powerful Jedi guardian of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Cin Drallig! Never underestimate the power of diplomacy ThumbsUp

Greetings Supreme Commanders. Just wondering, the rules page, reads that map allocations are due Tuesday, when the new round starts. I've noticed the last 2 rounds, it's been posted on Wednesday. Has this been changed?

Sorry, I didn't read the details correctly, ( rounds run Tuesday through Tuesday-with result deadline Tuesday evening 11:59pm est) and I got confused because the update this week reads that this weeks round starts 3/22, when it should read 3/23. No biggie. Thanks
