That's a fun combo. Keep in mind once the Basilisk moves more than 6 squares from the Captain or any Mouse Droids it no longer gets Twin, so it can be hard to work out a full strafe run with Twin. Mandalore the Indomitable gives Momentum board-wide so that's a good combo too.

i usually keep my Basalisk back until the 3rd or 4th inish, because at that point my capt and three mousies are spread far enough to get atleast 3-4 twins. I run Mandalore with my Basalisks all the time. matter of fact, thats pretty much the only time i run indomitable anymore.

i hate to say it,
but i am angry. we just got a clone wars set a few sets ago, not to mention the teth maps either. How many of you need 7 Grievous'? i just got the new assaj, so i dont need a new one, but, they are gonna make this one waaaaaaaaaay better, and im gonna get stuck trying to get her.
yea yea yea, its the name of the game, thats how Wizards makes their money, blah blah blah, BUT IS IT AT ALL POSSIBLE TO MAKE MINIS OF CHARACTERS THAT HAVENT BEEN TOUCHED YET!!??Cursing
Celeste morne? from vector? Darth Wyyrlok? SW Legacy, Bantha Rawk? Legacy, Banes Apprentice for crying out loud!! Howabout some of Fetts Ora'mikade (Super Commandos), the named ones, even better, MIRTA GIEV!
AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! this is why people stop collecting and playing all together.

I really couldnt agree more with you mando, they keep making 90 remakes of a character & refuse to drop some new figures. If your gonna make a remake of a character, how about doing it of a character with only 1 version, not figures that have 10 versions already. But that aside im actually pretty hype for this set. Lol, its amazing too, i just got done pm'ing Huk back to ask him if he knew what this set cotained faction wise & a minute later i stumbled onto this thread. lol thats some wierd stuff.I'd like to see a new Kit Fisto, i would really love to see a new Plo Koon (My Favorite Jedi).

All of them figures from cloestrike they only made 1 version of id like to see. Im thinking Cad Bane's gonna be in this one too. I dont like the fact of another Assajj Ventress, hopefully they just put her on the Box Art because the Showdown At Seth Map Pack just got released not to long ago. Making another 1 what 2-3 months apart is stupid. That spot could be given to a different piece. But all around im liking the looks of this.

i really shouldnt be frustrated anymore though.
i said the same thing i said before when the TFU set came out. i bought a box, to atleast say that i did, and to my surprise, i pulled Revan. how quickly i sang a different song!
what it really boils down to is your pulls, and as far as the clone wars set goes, i pulled horribly. the best piece i pulled was gen. Aayla. IE came out, and i got some sweet pulls out of that too, including Xizor and a few others worth keeping. but under my breathe, i muttered obsenities for all the other crap i was pulling in that particular set.
all in all, every time a new set comes out with a repeat R or VR, they will always end up retiring my older stuff. Vader JH just got retired by me last week, for Vader unleashed.

I have no problem with established characters being redone such as Vader and Luke as long as they are unique among the other reprints. I would also much rather have characters from the novels and the comics than more Clone Wars era pieces. Fenn Shysa is a good example. In my mind, characters like Ahsoka are not established enough to get second figures and Cad Bane is still too minor to get a figure of his own.

Here are some examples of more deserving characters for a first mold either because they are in a lot of sources or because they desperately need representation:
Admiral Paelleon
Admiral Daala
Fenn Shysa
Brakiss
Callista
Tycho Celchu
Durga the HUtt
Borsk Fey'Lya
Rokur Gepta
Hethrir
Ysanne Isard
Isolder
Jerec
Kir Kanos
Carnor Jax
Kueller
Sate Pestage
Cay Qel-Droma
Thrackan Sal-Solo
Sedriss
Raith Sienar (just for fun)
Kam Solusar
Booster Terrick
Bria Tharen
Vergere
Warlord Zsinj
Lord Hoth
Tenel Ka
Lord Kaan
Tahiri Vela
Supreme Overlord Shimrra
Winter
Empress Teta
Aleema
Xim the Despot

Second sculpt:
Admiral Ackbar
Darth Bane
Shira Brie
Corran Horn
Revan
Mon Mothma
Bail Organa
Jaina Solo
General Veers
Zuckuss

Defender, you have hit the nail right on the head.
what you have now done, is make me crave like a crack head to get all of those pieces you just mentioned. my skin itches just thinking about it.
a Darth Zannah would be great too, i would give her betrayal.
EU is what star wars is all about, i dont care what anyone says. the clone wars series makes that point for me. the new show thats coming will also prove my point. new characters means new abilities. new abilities is what keeps this game so darn entertaining.

And to me, it doesn't get more Star Wars than Darth Vader. WOTC has to cater to ALL Star Wars fans. And the three sets a year seems to be their best way to do it. The bulk of those are bottom bin characters, at best. A lot of them are from Bantam era books that are best left forgotten.

I will agree with you sithborg, but i like how they extended his history with sith lord. which ofcourse, was EU. as long as they make only 3 sets a year, im a happy camper. i dont think i could handle 4 or more.

Ventress' card isnt so bad, i mean its not that great either, but that CE is pretty cool.
as far as Rex goes, if this is where the 501st is going, i want no part of it. even Rex is not immune to the "suck".
