Pretty sure you and I specifically talked about it several times and I told you it was disgraceful. As you remember though, we couldn't figure out who it was since it was done outside of WotC and on facebook I think? Something like that. your right * tilts head in apology* you did indeed discuss it with me and it started at youtube IIRC but beyond that as far as i can recall no one else was in the act of calling it "dumb" etc.. which is what my main point is. I know that Dean doesn't deserve it just like i didn't. and to take a quote from Firefly and apply it to this issue "they are going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater."

Well before the mod runs me out of the community, I'd just like to say that its been fun. Obviously there's no room for anyone to have a great day and have a little fun on line here without everything you say getting deleted and the mod PM'ing you that someone wants him to kill himself so my threads get deleted. Didnt' call you hitler. Sorry you can't have fun AND do your job.
Well, I guess I'll see you on Vassal. Have a good one!

I apologize if you took it personally. As my PM has shown, I've had a very BAD day on this site. I am sorry if I don't get the humor of a mug shot and referring to my moderation to that of Hitlers. I included that in my PM because I wanted to explain why I might be a little bit harsh. Just because I edit a post doesn't mean you aren't welcomed. I'm glad people still want and can have fun on this site. If you have an issue with how I moderate, please talk to another mod or Shinja about it.

This last post makes me wonder what a mod's PM's look like.

That quote is from my favorite firefly episode ever, because I love Saphron.
On topic, I don't believe in venting. I think it doesn't help to shout or rage or whatever about a subject, but I am very happy people are talking about what created/keeps the divide between the (generally two) websites populations. It is good to know where other people are coming from, and we all can call ourselves closer as long as we listen and identify (not agree, identify) with the other posters.
As an anecdote, one reason that I have a grudge (and it exists still, unfortunately) against the "V-set crowd" is one time on the Wizards site when I had been carefully and nicely argueing with Boris I believe when he said something. The next post that I put down was that "I would feel elitist if I did/said that"
I think about 10 people figuratively jumped down my throat.
Not for me accusing them of being elitist, not for me insinuating that they were elitist, but for me giving my opinion about how I would feel (insinuating that they should see if they should feel elitist)
I grant that the reason they have a grudge against me is because I took pictures (copyrighted by wizards) from their website and put them up on Wizards. I quoted where they were from and they politely asked for them not to be moved, but I will never feel bad about that. (Shoot, I don't want to start an argument about this. Just stating the facts about what I did and how they perceived it. If you want to comment about it [your personal feelings about what I did], you may, of course. Just realize that bashing me will probably get this thread locked)

I am an elitist. I never use regular versions of characters that have Elite versions. I am unabashedly an elitist.

This is what's crap about this whole situation. No one is holding a grudge against you. Hell, I didn't even remember that event until you just brought it up. Yet you are still holding on to the one time we (I'm presuming me - but truthfully, don't remember) said we didn't agree with something you did. Add to that, everyone else who falls into the same camp, and all the sudden you start to see a picture of 30 or so people holding grudges because of the one time someone disagreed with them, and their supposed opponents who haven't given it a second thought. This is why, when you have an issue, you need to start with PMs to the other people to understand their position, before making it an issue in public. I apologize if that seems "elitist" or whatever you want to call it, but truthfully, I'm mature enough to understand that I can disagree with something someone does, without taking that to mean they are a bad person, or even that this reflects on their person at all. I've never thought you a bad guy at all. The "bad guys" if we have to name them for some reason, are basically associated with one group of people (or so it seems) - basically MDB and Darth Jak and their many accounts. I'm certain these two are still around, using not only their banned accounts in the squad critique area, but also the smurf accounts that haven't been caught yet. Even then, I'm sure they are probably decent enough people outside of this experience, and otherwise could have been friends, they just chose to go down a path that isn't good for the community and needed to be called out for it. Any issues should begin and end there, with the improper behavior.

I usually smell like a monster in the morning, then smell like a MAN after a shower. However, some women prefer the smell of a monster sometimes...it makes them know you are a real MAN, or a MANSTER. Uh, as for the state of the community...it's probably best for most of us to smell like a MAN rather than a monster initially, otherwise you'll just end up attracting monsters of the opposite sex. Also, let's not stress out too much about SWM. Stress causes you to sweat, sweat makes you smell like a monster. Then you have to go buy expensive body washes, get a haircut, shave, etc. Which leaves little money towards SWM. Not to mention little money to spend on your monster girlfriend.

Remember, we are SWM players. Not Magic players. I never truly understood this till my first Gencon, since my local Magic players are fairly hygenic. Like billiv said, a lot of this is due to online persona issues. Quite a few people I have had online fueds with I would be willing to shake hands with. One of the troublesome people here seemed liked perfectly fine and upstanding members, even if they did disagree with some things. Sadly, the curtain was pulled away, and finding that upset me more than anything MDB did.
