Wow... I am truly loving this whole Eroschilles/defender390 debate! Since I inadvertantly started this whole debate, I'll throw in my two cents: Social Security did NOT save America from the Depression. All Social Security is is a tax that the government takes, and in return they give you an IOU. Social Security is set up to fail. But anyway, what saved the US from the Depression is the start of World War II, which finally got the free market beast to throw off its socialist shackles placed on it by FDR and his sociaist pals. Once the free market got to do its own thing, the economy recovered in a heartbeat. That is better than anything that FDR did with his New Deal, which only put us billions of dollars in debt and did absolutely nothing to check the rampant unemployment. As far as Reagan, he also realized that the free market was inherently stronger than the communist system, so he spent like a madman, forcing the Soviets to try and match him economically. Of course, the commies couldn't do it, and he broke them. It may have been expensive, but it was worth it, as it knocked off the greatest threat to freedom and democracy on the planet. And he was ALSO able to balance the budget. Beat that, Obama.

been years since I took a quiz like this, not much to report but basically I'm moderate with left leanings, which is alittle different from when I took a similar quiz in High School(some 5-6 years back) when I was on the Left/Populist line. So a small change over the years. Wonder where I'll be in another 5 years...
